We stopped in for dinner on our first night of vacation and we're so glad we did. Every food item was delicious. Our server was friendly and checked in on us periodically without being intrusive. The restaurant is downstairs with a great layout and easy to see or hear the band from any spot in the restaurant. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun and tasty night out.
Revisited a favorite spot while in Savannah and noticed a drop off in menu items. Starting with the positives... the drink selection is vast, creative and the drinks we had spectacular. On the menu, the lamb chops were overdone and lacked pop in the flavor. The salad was delicious, fresh and had the right amount of dressing to add flavor without drowning the components. But, the mussels are where the ball was dropped. The sauce and mussels didn't come together. The sauce was very good with the accompanying bread, but the mussels lacked seasoning and flavor. Nice touch is the live jazz music. Even if I hit it at a time where he was mostly on break.
it was cool. we originally made a reservation to enjoy the live music to bring in my moms birthday in savannah. unfortunately they were under construction and changed their live music nights so that was disappointing but the service was great. mckenzie took great care of us. food was ok. i tried the seafood soup they had which was decent. i also ordered fish and chips and i was most disappointed by this. the cod had so much batter it made me feel like i was eating hush puppies. my sister enjoyed her beef tenderloin and my fries. my mom and sister ordered the caesar salad and seemed to enjoy. the lamb lollipops were ok too. didn't really taste like lamb but pretty good the desserts were good. we all enjoyed. i had the s'mores bread pudding which was a pleasant surprise.
Jazz'd is a cool dinner club and bar. Entrance is down a flight of stairs, and there's an elevator available, too. You arrive near a long well-lit bar, with the musician(s) on a low platform at the far end, and ample more-dimly-lit seating to the right among modern artsy decor. Most seating has a view of the performance, and the acoustics are good everywhere. There is a smaller room towards the back that might be a little quieter. We were met right away and seated quickly, midweek (Dec '24) for the 6pm show. They had a pretty good crowd, and we had reservations, but I dont think they were needed. Staff were friendly and attentive. Drinks were creative, well-made, and tasty. Mine was an authentic-tasting Sazerac with famous Peychaud's bitters, an aromatic sweet rye-spiced Virgil Kaine rye out of Charleston, and 4th-generation Swiss Kübler absinthe, very reasonable at $12 for these ingredients. Our delicious food came pretty quickly and was fresh and hot. We loved their creamy blue-crab stew, the slightly zingy Creole tomato dip with goat cheese and a hot sliced baguette, and lightly-fried tender calamari with a lightly-spicy creole tomato dip. The mid-week musician was a solo, playing creative takes on a wide range of familiar tunes, and pleasant chatty remarks between songs. We also stopped with her on the way out to compare some recent travel we had in common. We felt right at home. I will note that they play some jazz tracks outside the place, just to let you know those are not the live performance. We enjoyed a night of gentle jazz here, with good food and drinks, in a dark nicely decorated room. We recommend this highly as a respite from some of the noisier venues in town.
Enjoyed a glass of Madeira and a cheese plate here. The cheese plate was exceptional with a number of cheeses, all of which were warmed, and accompanied by large and delicious toasts. Service was friendly and I appreciated that they were proactive about refilling my water. Atmosphere is subterranean and dark, but punctuated with colorful paintings. No jazz when we visited but would totally come back here for the sweet cheese plate!

At first we were a little skeptical going downstairs buy it had been highly recommended. We ordered 6 Tapas and drinks and they were all very good!!
We loved our drinks at Jazz'd. We were lucky to sit at the bar and got seats right away. We had dinner just before so we didn't get food. Our bartender made us some delicious cocktails. They are really professional and I saw them use natural fruits and ingredients to create their drinks. It was also nice to have a conversation while listening to live music. I enjoyed my time there and would go back. This place is more casual so leave your fancy outfits at home.
We liked this spot. Very low key jazz music playing while you dine with no vocals which is nice bc it was easy to talk and be heard over dinner. It's crisp and clean inside with black table clothes, black napkins and some edgy decor. We had to wait about 35 minutes on a Friday night which wasn't bad bc we left our number and walked around and shopped the street for a bit. It was worth the wait bc we ended up with an excellent table in the back. Our waitress was great, very prompt and polite and efficient. The menu is large and has a lot to choose from and their portions for tapas are def. large enough to share. With this in mind we ordered the Creole Tomato Cheese dip with French bread, the salmon with broccolini and hummus with veggies instead of pita. (Be warned, the hummus comes with loads of olives so if you don't want them, ask for them left off) Our meal was light and filling and delicious and we really enjoyed it. Music was great. Would def. come back!
We stumbled into this place last Saturday after a long day in the sun. When we first approached the place we almost walked away because the main entrance is a flight of stairs. Luckily we ran into a very nice man who worked there that was preparing for the opening. Putting out signs etc. This gentleman was very nice and told us there is an elevator we can use due to me having a torn meniscus. The place is very swanky. A nice place to have a romantic dinner. I felt a bit underdressed because we were wearing shorts and T shirts. Not one person looked down their nose at us. Every one was very welcoming. We had the best French Onion Soup ever. We also had garlic cheese bread and Calamari. All of it was very tasty. We will be back.
Great time. Spacious environment offering quick service. I order salmon. It was a small portion with broccolini. My Honey had fish and chips. His portion was good. The dessert was good. We enjoyed a nice band. There was no cover. The tables have a two hour sit limit so the table turn over was quick.

This was my second time trying out this underground restaurant. We were a group of four and didn't have a reservation on a Saturday night. They told us it would be about a 20 minute wait but it turned out being only 10 minutes. They do a nice lounge area with couches that a server serves drinks to while you wait for a table. The restaurant is uniquely decorated. They had live music, piano and two people singing. That were really good. They have a lot of interesting specialty drinks. We tried a few and they were okay. We got a few dishes and shared them. We got some baked cheese, hummus and some truffle fries. Everything was very good. The servings were a little small. The service was good. The ambiance was relaxing. The bathrooms have black toilet bowls instead of white. read more
If you are looking for a good Jazz bar with delicious food, this is the place for you! We were greeted by the hostess and seated quickly. Our waitress was so kind and funny. We ordered the Red Sangria & an Old Fashioned with Four Roses Bourbon and we enjoyed both drinks! For food, we ordered the low country fried shrimp tacos, truffle frites and Thai chicken lettuce wraps. All of these dishes were delicious and enough for two people. Food was AMAZING. And honestly for tapas the portions were pretty sizeable. We did the dinner for 2 for $100 and it great, but couldn't finish it all since it was a lot of food. Music was awesome too. Really great vibes and felt like I had been transported back to 2003 read more
So happy we found this place while in Savannah for one night. It had amazing Yelp reviews and was within walking distance. We were able To get seated fairly quickly with no reservations. We ordered numerous dishes to share since it's tapas style. Paired with some good wine and listened to the live singer while we ate. We got the tomato creole dip, chicken lettuce wraps, frog legs and lamb chops. Everything tasted exceptional and I'll definitely revisit while in town again. read more

This place was amazing! We stopped in for a cocktail. Espresso martini was crisp, cold, and yummy. I didn't get any food but the vibes were so vibey and the place is low lighting with popular music. Definitely would be a fun date spot and the food menu looked amazing. We would've eaten if we didn't have dinner soon after!! Would absolutely come back. I am picky about cocktails because they aren't always made right but these bartenders seem very experienced and know what they're doing. read more

STUNNING! Honestly, this place blew me away. I saw this restaurant while out walking around earlier in the day and decided to come back later after the kids were asleep with my husband. This was the perfect date night spot. We arrived around 9:30PM on a Saturday night (right after bed time) and walked down the steps to their basement restaurant. The air conditioner was pumping, which was perfect because it was super hot the whole day! A table was available immediately for us to sit and enjoy the Spanish-infused live jazz band. Our waiter arrived almost immediately and greeted us and helped us navigate the menu. The first thing he told us was that this wasn't a traditional tapas bar where you get two or three delicious bites of each dish. The dishes were actually appetizer sized - and HE WAS RIGHT! My husband and I split four delicious tapas: BBQ Saint Louis Ribs (these were so good and savory, the meat fell off the bone!), Filet Medallion Risotto (the meat was so tender and cooked perfectly), Lamb chops with garlic and rosemary (I would legit eat this as my last meal it was so tasty!) and the truffle fries (my husband doesn't even eat fries and he loved these!). Every dish was packed with so much flavor, we wanted to keep eating long after we were full! Came here for a light, early dinner on a Saturday while visiting Savannah. We had never been to a tapas bar before, but I read really good reviews online, so we decided to try it before embarking on a ghost tour. It is underground and the ambiance is really neat! It is dark, with a jazzy atmosphere. We arrived before the live music began, but I'm sure that would have added a nice element to our experience! Our waitress was really sweet and knew the menu very well. She was very helpful when it came to deciding what we should order. She also gladly took a picture of the 3 of us when we asked. Ended up ordering some of their specials including tuna ceviche and a shrimp ceviche, along with the grilled salmon tapa and the fried calamari. Our food came out very quickly. The salmon was really flavorful and cooked perfectly! Paired really nicely with the peppery aioli it had on the side. It also came with broccolini. The tuna ceviche was really good too. I liked the wonton chips that came with it. The tuna was really fresh and had great flavor. The shrimp ceviche was also really fresh and light. Lastly, the calamari. Was debating on ordering it and we all agreed that we were glad we did! I do not like heavily breaded calamari that overpowers the taste of the fish. Although, this calamari was flash fried and had peppers and onions with it. It all blended together to create a really flavorful tapa! The calamari also wasn't too greasy. No exaggeration everything we had was excellent except one and even then you can taste the quality. The jazz salad vinaigrette dressing is right the blend of sweet-and-sour. The crab stew is basically a chowder of crab goodness. Portobello mushroom with just a hint of oysters - perfect. The lamb chops came out pink, has zero aftertaste, perfectly seasoned to taste the pure essence of that meat. Best Lamb Ever! Let's not forget the mint julep. They don't skimp on their alcohol. Live music, great service and tapas style food. To start, we had some great cocktails while waiting for a table. We also tried the salmon, broccoli, cheese sauce and the mussels. Each dish was fantastic. Unfortunately, since we came in late we didn't get to try more as the kitchen was closing. If in the area, I'd recommend checking it out. It gets crowded fast, so go early. read more

We arrived around 7:30 or 8 for dinner and there was about an hour wait. We found a place at the bar eventually and enjoyed some wine while we listened to the band and waited for a table to open up. Everyone was welcoming and kind. I expected a stage for the band but they were in an awkward spot against a wall near the bar but we enjoyed the music. The gnocchi dish had wonderful flavor and I believe was just being served that night. The bread was pretty good too but would have preferred a different appetizer instead. My husband enjoyed his salmon dish as well. Overall a lovely experience. read more

Loved this place! It was recommended to us from someone at our hotel. They had live music a nice eclectic assortment of drinks as well as your every day drinks. The music is constantly changing and the little plates are perfect for sampling. We got three small plates and it was enough food for both of us for dinner. One of the plates was a Cuban sandwich and it was cut in half and it was scrumptious. Another plate it was a flatbread pizza I can't remember what was on that but that was also very good and my husband's favorite was a pork belly plate. Everything we had here was delicious. My wife and I found ourselves in Historic Savannah and after shopping most of the day we messed to "fuel up" for our Ghost Tour that evening. Enter.....Jazz'd Tapas Bar. We entered the main restaurant area via a staircase from the sidewalk down into an area that can only be described as the entrance to "Flavortown". We were seated right away and almost as soon as we set down our server was there to make sure we got drinks as quickly as possible. The absolute STAR at Jazz'd for us was our server, Logan. She spent so much time with us explaining what each dish was and making sure the what we were thinking about ordering aligned with our taste. Logan hit a home run with us by recommending the special soup of the day which was a mushroom soup with coconut milk that was AMAZING!!! I was extremely nervous about coconut milk in my mushroom but let me tell you, if you haven't had it, run, don't walk, to Jazz'd and pray they haven't taken it off the daily specials. It's that good. This soup alone is worth a trip to Savannah GA from anywhere, so, I guess you could say that ,yes, I enjoyed it. After chatting with Logan for a bit, my wife and I decided on the tapas dinner for two. It consisted of a soup or salad, four tapas, two desserts, and soda or coffee for $90.00. It was a great choice! We ordered Lamb Chops with Garlic and Rosemary, Low Country Shrimp & Grits, Poutine, Citrus Shrimp Ceviche, and Filet Medallion Risotto for dinner, followed by Banana Bread Pudding and Vanilla Crème Brûlée. The Lamb Chops were perfectly cooked and well seasoned. There were a mouthwatering medium cook (my wife and I fought over the last one...) and are highly recommended. My wife is originally from Michigan and cannot stand even the thought of grits. Logan assured her that the Low Country Shrimp & Grits was worth the risk. The plating was picturesque and enhanced the overall feel of the dish. The grits were exceptionally creamy and, although they reminded me more of Polenta than grits, were the star of this dish. I have never seen my wife taste grits and react pleasantly but after she tasted this dish, she was in love!!! Seriously, I got two bites, that's it. I can give no higher praise for this dish than that it's Tracey approved. She is still talking about it today! The Citrus Shrimp Ceviche was light and fresh, not overly seasoned, and wonderfully balanced. The Filet Medallion Risotto was as close to a perfect dish as you can get. The well seasoned filet was a perfect medium rare and the Risotto, oh the Risotto. If you are a risotto fan, get here quickly and taste perfection. The Poutine was exactly as you would picture it. The cheese curds slowly melting over fresh, crispy fries, smothered in Brown Gravy. Amazing dish! By the time dessert was served, we were both entering that satiated feeling you only get after an awesome meal but we are warriors! No dessert would go to waste. The Vanilla Crème Brûlée was well executed and the torching of the sugar on top was exactly what you want. It was not so toasted as to give the dish an overpowering caramel flavor, rather, it gives a nice crunchy contrast to the creamy custard. I wouldn't be doing Jazz'd Justice if I didn't write a little about the drinks. My all time favorite is an Old Fashioned so when I asked Logan what drink she recommends and she said the Old Fashioned, I was in Heaven. This drink was exactly what an Old Fashioned should be. With dessert I enjoyed a glass of Rare Wine Co, Savannah Madeira and if you like a little dessert libation with your sweets, you absolutely must try this. The bottom line is that this restaurant should be on EVERYONES bucket list. I am certain my wife and I will travel back to Savannah from DFW just to eat in the restaurant. I cannot stress enough how good this place is. Great drinks, out of this world food, modern comfortable dining room, and the best staff I have had the pleasure of meeting. If you haven't visited Jazz'd Tapas Bar, get there. Lastly, whatever Jazz'd is paying Logan and her compatriot's, it's not enough. You can have a good meal in many different places but service, that's what makes it Great and what brings people back. Ask for Logan and experience what top notch service looks like. Jazz'd, you are doing A GREAT JOB!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!! read more

Star of the show- Salmon. It had a great flavorful crust. Next in line- calamari Delicious- poutine The tapas menu worked great for a part of five. We each got to try a little if everything. You would think that it would not be enough but I was stuffed. We had two appetizers while waiting for the rest of our party. The mussels were delicious. Drinks were good as well I had the el Diablo. I ended up having two more of them.... We ordered the tapas for three and split them between 5 of us. Since we already had an appetizer we did not need the salad or soup. Tapas for 3 comes with three soups or salad. We then had five different tapas. All good but the salmon was the best. We then split 3 deserts. We ate them too fast and did not get any photos. First night in Savannah and OMG I. Five stars across the board. Food, service, price, atmosphere and decor. This eclectic place is funky in the best way possible. We got the tapas for two. Two starters, four tapas, two desserts and tea or coffee for $80 bucks. Purchased separately it would cost about $120 before tax. Starters were crab stew and Caesar salad. OMG II. What a great start. I told my wife, if the rest is like this start, we are going to have an excellent meal. Next came the shrimp and grits and blackened salmon with broccolini. OMG III. Was my first time to have shrimp and grits. I'm a fan. Not a big fan of salmon but this was the best I've ever had. Last round of tapas were the ribs and lamb chops with their sauces and new potatoes. OMG IV. Juicy chops and fall off the bone ribs. We asked for bread so we could sop up every last drop of all the sauces. And finally OMG V, goes to Taylor, our waiter. He took great care of us. You can tell he really loves his job. He highly recommended the crab stew and chops. So happy we listened. He also recommended the bread pudding but it's such a heavy dessert we opted otherwise. We would return and highly recommend. Folks, if you've never been to Savannah, put it on your bucket list. It has the same cool vibe and history as NOLA. read more

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local- decided to check it out after a long day walking around Savannah- It is located in the basement - so nice and cool! The bar is industrial and nice and long and meandering- lots of people tucked in and around rather then all just lined up- looked like a really nice spot to sit and enjoy a drink We were seated at a little table in the back- if I had one complaint it would be the seats did not have much cushioning to them- on the hard side-But saying that the food and drinks more then made up for that! We started with drinks- El Diablo and Cucumber cooler - both were very nice- not sweet- very refreshing! For apps we had the cheese tray and mussels- The mussels had a wonderful tomato stew type sauce and a basil pesto- both were wonderful and paired well with the mussels! They have a dinner for 2 which we made dinner for three - so we got 3 salads/soups- 6 tapas and 3 desserts and coffee- The food was so good that we forgot to take pictures- but I did get pics of dessert! The peanut butter pie is Amazing!!!!! As is the brownie with salted Carmel gelato!!!!! Honestly there is nothing on the menu that we did not enjoy!! We left stuffed!!! read more

We visited this establishment in hopes of good music. Much to our delight, the music was phenomenal, well beyond our expectations. On top of that, the food was amazing. Absolutely everything we tried was fantastic. On top of that, the service was perfection. McKenzie was our server. I cannot say enough good things about her. She was super friendly and simply a superb server. We are considering cancelling our scheduled plans for tomorrow so that we can revisit Jazz'd, fingers crossed that McKenzie is working! Do yourself a favor and visit this establishment. You won't be disappointed! read more
Go here for the She Crab Stew! Simply fantastic. Jazz'd was recommended by a waiter at a different restaurant, particularly for its Shrimp & Grits. I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce nor the texture. Eric, the bartender, was great! He made sure I didn't leave my drink behind and offered a carry-out cup for me. I came when they opened, so I missed the live music. Bummer. read more

Nice place with a beautiful layout and nice atmosphere. The cocktails are great and the food was amazing. I had the lamb chops and fried green tomatoes. They have a lot of nice options for a tapas menu. The live music was ok only because I was expecting jazz and they had a country music performer. He was decent to listen but didn't quite match the ambience. I would highly recommend this spot for a night cap with some live music and good food!! read more
If you're planning on coming here - you can easily just get the cheese plate and call it a day. Easily the most popular thing and MOST DELICIOUS thing on the menu. It's soft bread, with 3 different melted cheese, fruits and roasted garlic. Would definitely come back just to get this. read more
