Iced Matcha
Mary E K.

I am so happy this little café exists. I had purchased a red "love child" baseball cap the first time I was ever at Java love in 2017-2018 along with an ice coffee I'm almost sure. Today I had an amazing matcha. The cutest little barista surprised me with the choice of milk (which I had asked her to do) and it was "amassssing." The vibes inside are super earthy and chill and it's located next to the cutest flower shop. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you for surprising me, I really needed that.

Mocha Latte

Needed some coffee while I was in NJ, and this place definitely hits the spot! I definitely missed local coffee shops like this and was amazed how delicious my drink was (iced mocha latte). Baristas were super helpful when I had questions, and their menu had so many different options. Would come back when I make my way to NJ again!

Top notch coffee spot! Super friendly kids working and lots of homegrown touches and comfortable welcoming decor that you hope for in an independent cafe. There was a great custom board of seasonal drinks I can't remember the name but I had the red eye, mocha, cayenne, cinnamon, and oat milk. IT WAS AMAZING. I wish I could have tried more. the chocolate chip scone was delicious as well. There was plenty of space inside for all the patrons to enjoy their drinks without feeling cramped or rushed. Nice part of town lots of things within walking distance but I will definitely be going out of my way to come back and try some of the other drinks.

Two medium lattes
Roxanne O.

We drove an hour to come here and it was less than 20 degrees Fahrenheit out. We came on the pretense that they had prepared food and heated outdoor seating. When we got there, none of the heaters were turned on. We also found out that none of the NJ locations had prepared food, just pastries. So we were hungry but just decided to get lattes. We also decided not to get beans because there were no 'roasted by' dates on them. I had to tell the employee three different times that I wanted two lattes, one with almond milk and the other with oat milk. He first thought i wanted both almond, then both oat and then there was an understanding that it would be one of each. But when we got our order, it was two oat milk lattes, and somehow one of them was sweetened, even though I didn't order sweetened at all. We still drank them, as I'd prefer not to waste, but it was a bit of a mediocre experience. For the positive, the lattes were still quite good and service was friendly.

Love the fact that they use 5 acres products. 5 acres only allows their products to travel 250 miles

I'd chose this place over Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts anytime. If you love coffee you'll notice the difference in taste.

Wonderful, local coffee shop with great coffee, fragrant teas, and the best scones I've ever had (I had the raspberry almond one).

Nice vibe to the place. Great coffee, free wifi, etc. Best of all though, they have cold brewed espresso! My favorite summer drink.

The steak was tender, the bread was fresh, and everything worked together so well. Other items at our table included the kids' grilled cheese (simple but done right -- crispy on the outside, v gooey on the inside), the hot chicken sandwich (great crunch with just the right kick of heat), and a matcha that was smooth and not overly sweet. Definitely a spot I'd come back to!

Friendly staff mostly teenagers and college aged students. Menu wise it offered a great variety and not too pricey in addition to a number of baked goods both savory and sweet. Quinoa kale bowl (2/4) great portion but flavor wise would say it was lacking for sure. Filling and healthy. Chicken schnitzel (5/5) great crispy chicken and batter to chicken ratio was perfect. Piping hot upon serving and yummy side salad with fries for $4 + Marcel Shakshuka (5/5) great flavor and decent portion with a proper amount of pita bread on the side. The focaccia shakshuka was pretty filling and a perfectly cooked runny egg on top. Very bold flavors may be a bit much along personally would just share as a little app. Parking nearby- lot and street parking. Looks like they have a few seats in front on nice days as well.

I tried their empanada and beef patty, they did not disappoint with the flavor and how fresh they were. The service was divine as well. The girl behind the counter was sweet and offered her opinion on a few things.
