Fast and friendly service. Great matcha latte options with milk alternatives. The matcha is good quality and doesn't come as a pre sweetened powder. Nice cosy little atmosphere with plenty of seating inside and outside. read more

Java Love Coffee Roasting Co. - Matcha latte (small) - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Montclair, New Jersey

I came here for an evening craft and game night and it was wonderful. The staff was so welcoming and it was warm and cozy inside. I had the rose London fog immunity boost drink. It was very flavorful without any additives and the rose complemented the tea well. It tasted like real tea, not artificial syrup. I would definitely go back and thought the prices were also decent. read more

Strolled in here after exploring the neighborhood and got a coffee with the rose syrup. Didn't particularly love the flavour as it wasn't what I had imagine... but they were very kind to remake my drink for me! Cute little shop for catch ups as they have outside seatings or indoor seatings if you wanna get a study sess in! read more

Great latte options both times I've gone. I usually look forward to their monthly change of creative flavors of lattes. Lattes are perfectly made and service has been fast both times . Cute ambiance ... they even have tables designated to "no screen time" which is great. Can't wait to come and try something warm instead . read more

good spot for some lattes and at a nice location in Montclair too. We had some spare time before our dinner reservation and decided to stop by for some coffee. We ordered iced and hot lattes and I love that they were able to accommodate my half hazelnut and half vanilla flavored latte. It was delicious! There is good enough seating inside but a lot of the customers (on the day we went) brought laptops so they may tend to take their time there - just an fyi. There is an option to sit outdoors as well especially when the weather is nice. And lastly, as a new mom, I also appreciate the restroom having a changing table! lol Close to the parking garage too. nice! read more

I love the rustic, cozy vibes of this cafe. I came in w/ a friend on a rainy Monday evening, and it was so relaxing just sitting by the window, while chatting and people-watching. I ordered one of the coffee drinks from the fall specials list (it was apple-flavored), and I didn't really like it. But I typically don't enjoy apple-flavored coffee, so don't think it has anything to do w/ the way it was made here. I would come here again to try more! read more

Delicious. Loved my iced coffee. I had them add rose flavoring to it. I love that they have the milk and creamers on the side for you to add it in yourself because I tend to be particular on how much oat goes in my coffee. Will definitely be a repeat customer. read more

Java Love Coffee Roasting Co. - Iced coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Montclair, New Jersey

Unfortunately I did not enjoy my drink. The barista was kind, service was not an issue. I tried one of the specialty drinks and was underwhelmed. They use cold brew concentrate not espresso in the iced lattes and you taste the difference. I also prefer house made syrups, that definitely elevates any drink. I do think for a latte made with concentrate and Monin syrup the price was pretty steep. read more

Awesome coffee spot open early and late (6:30 pm). Service is great and ambiance was chill quieter than a Starbucks so you can work there or just chill. Welcoming and best bet on Church Street. read more

Really cute homey location and love the vibes. The employee was nice and helpful with the different options. However, the yogi chai was not good. It was bitter, watered down and tasted awful. Only had a few sips and threw it out. It looked cute, but wasn't the greatest tasting. read more

Verrrrry good coffee spot! I enjoyed my coffee very much and I loooooved my breakfast sandwich. It's super convenient for the train, and I noticed they offered commuter deals, which I think is so kind. It's a little pricy in my opinion, but I'd say the coffee and sandwich were worth it (not the smoothie). I highly recommend & I'll absolutely be back! read more

I ordered a large matcha oat milk latte, and I really enjoyed it. It didn't need any sweeteners. It was delicious, and I enjoyed taking advantage of the outdoor seating. The birds loved stopping by which adds to the ambiance of the coffee shop. There really are no bad seats. Just like my experience the other week, my latte came quickly. I had to knock my review down by one star only because I got the iced latte with a top and a straw, and there must have been something wrong with the cup or maybe it was filled a little too high, or maybe there was coffee on the lid because it leaked a lot and got my sweatshirt and jacket wet messy looking. I was happy about the nice weather because I had to take off those layers. I love this coffee shop. Maybe I'll just stick to hot coffee or matcha next time. There definitely will be a next time because I love coming here. read more

I'm a total matcha snob and I was thrilled with the matcha latte I got here. I'm used to matcha lattes being mostly milk and too sweet; this latte was perfectly balanced and I really tasted the matcha. The atmosphere inside is great, cozy and welcoming, and the staff were working hard and very attentive. Great place! read more

I love the Java Love on Bellevue, gave that location a 5 star review a long time ago, but unfortunately this location has to get a low rating because every time I've gone there there's a male employee working the register that is just sooo rude and acts like you're the biggest inconvenience in the world for coming in to purchase coffee. I haven't gone here in at least 8 months because of this employee and don't plan to go back, the vibes are extremely negative. Love their coffees though, just go to a different location! The people have always been nice in Upper Montclair. read more

Came here to do some work and since it was the afternoon I figured I'd get a chai latte. Usually this is a pretty safe bet at coffee shops these days but this one was not good. I'm usually not that picky with my beverages but this one was watery and bitter. It didn't help that the wifi didn't work and the tables were wobbly. Honestly with the prices you're better off going to the Starbucks across the street - you'll pay the same and get a consistent drink. read more

Java Love Coffee Roasting Co. - a hand holding a cup of coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Montclair, New Jersey

Love this local coffee/tea shop in Montclair. Everything on their menu is organic and originated within a 50 mile radius. That is amazing and not something you hear every day! My husband and I specially came here when we were back in town visiting because we were looking for a place that carried our absolute favorite local chai tea latte, from Yogic Chai. We were not disappointed, we'd definitely go out of our way to stop in just for this chai. The cafe is very cozy, with high ceilings and a lot wood accents. They have done a good job fitting in as much seating as possible, although I'm sure it fills up quickly during peak hours. It wasn't too crowded when we stopped in at 4:30pm on a Saturday, and they turned around our orders super quickly. I also noticed they sell some food like sandwiches, and are vegan/vegetarian friendly! Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely come in here again to hang out. read more

Best cafe ever Think 90s ambience and community. Good coffee great vibes. Highly recommend

We stopped here after picking up pastries from across the street. We got a maple latte (first time trying) and it was great. The coffee shop itself is very quiet and has a decent amount of seating. The place is small but with a lot of personality, from the menu to the staff. The young lady with the long hair and pink tips, thank you for taking your time by informing us of the delays! Not too sweet and creamy enough with a a foam that lasted through my entire stay. Will highly recommend! read more

RECYCLING??? Drinks...great. Service...great. A business that creates so much recyclable or compostable waste has no recycling bins for my used coffee cups? Montclair needs to do better in general, but I was hoping the coffee shop would at least have a recycling option. Great drinks but businesses need more awareness. Please recycle. read more

Awesome coffee and vibe. First time here and was very impressed. Been to a few coffee shop around, this one feels much more welcoming!

Java Love Coffee Roasting Co. - Chai latte - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Montclair, New Jersey

Really bad latte and really bad service. I ordered one of their sweeter drinks and it tasted like acidic coffee.

Came here after doing a good deed interestingly. Along with that was the recommendation to try the coffee here. I'm all for the small business competition going head to head with mainstream establishments, in this case Starbucks nearby so this helped. I just got a dark roast coffee to keep it simple. It was very strong, not that I usually prefer this, but it delivered on what it's label. I had some hot chocolate which also delivered on its name. The prices are fair and its a nice little coffee shop much like you'd expect with varying seat arrangements for just a few friends or groups and the staff were friendly as well. There were some cakes and other naked goods there that looked good so while it might not have everything the big name places have, this little coffee spot has its charm and did the trick on a chilly day. read more

Nice staff. Cute vibe. Love that they serve drinks to stay in real mugs. Save the earth! Ordered a chai latte and it tasted watery. I got it with whole milk so I was a little puzzled. They definitely got the spiced part down. It was watery and spicy. It is by Yogic --a local montclair tea place. I may be back to give them another shot but wouldn't get the chai. read more

What an amazing little spot to sit down, relax or get some work done, with a delicious cup of coffee! Stopped by here today to get some work done. The two women behind the counter were just a delight and even helped me choose the perfect cup of Joe. Cheated on my diet and got the chocolate croissant...it was well worth it!
