    Tea

A really cozy and welcoming cafe in Lyndhurst. The people running this place are very helpful. My hibiscus tea was also really super flavorful and not watered down!! They definitely care about quality here at Sierra and giving you a quality drink experience.

"A YAWN IS A SILENT SCREAM FOR COFFEE."

Blink-and-you'll-miss-it... sandwiched between a veteran Chinese take-out joint (Oriental Garden) and a 'meditation center' - Lyndhurst has a very cool new coffeehouse. Super welcoming and friendly staff. Solid selection of caffeinated drinks (along with a small fridge for bottled water and some flavored drinks). Limited food. Some board games are available, if that's your thing. (Although I imagine a game of Jenga would be jarring for the 'chill vibe' of the place when those blocks come crashing down.) A few chairs and tables (and laptops), not to mention quirky original pieces of artwork hanging on the wall (to match the unique music that was playing in the background). The drinks were fairly priced. The bags of coffee for sale seemed outrageously overpriced. This intersection is extremely busy so parking can definitely be an issue. With the almighty Muse Coffee (just a few blocks away) as well as Starbucks (boo! hiss!) - I hope Sierra can find success in our small town.

    Oat milk latte

Service was quite nice and accommodating. The coffee was good, but not great--the oat milk latte was a bit bitter but the americano was smooth. We wanted to get a bag of beans, but everything that was labeled was from two months prior. They explained that the ones without the labels were from a more recent roasting, but couldn't tell me from exactly when. I didn't buy a bag in the end, due to the lack of transparency.

I've visited several times, and I can confidently say it's the best cappuccino I've ever had.

I've been going for a while as I like their pour over coffee and recently started exploring other drinks.

Cozy and with lots of personality from the stickies on the wall from customers to their decor. I ordered an Iced caramel latte and a savory everything croissant with a herb cream cheese filling that took me by surprise in a good way. Pricing was great as well. There was a point when it got pretty loud, to the point where I had to turn up the volume on my earbuds to stay focused. Just something to note if you're hoping for complete silence on a weekend. There's plenty of parking, but it is shared with the other businesses next door. The environment inside is what stood out the most to me. It has a very hippie, artsy vibe with greenery throughout and paintings on the walls that are actually for sale. Even with the foot traffic, the space still felt calm and peaceful overall. Service was okay, they were clearly busy. The bakery items were average, nothing crazy. I had a chocolate croissant, which was fine. I also ordered a latte. I'd definitely come back, mainly for the environment. It's a nice spot when you need some alone time to get work done. I'll probably try coming back on a weekday next time when there are hopefully fewer peoplebut honestly, I'd still come back even on a busy weekend.

As a young kid from Louisiana, one of the first things I missed was the culture, flavor, and sweet treats that reminded me of home in New Orleans. Back then, my teammates used to tease me relentlessly about being the "fat rookie from Louisiana" because I was always chasing pralines, cookies, pastries, and every sugary delight imaginable. Not long after arriving, I stumbled upon a hidden gem that instantly made me feel at home -- Lyndhurst Pastry Shop. This led me to "SACKING" tons of NFC QB's over the years. From day one, Paulette, Jerry, her father, and the entire staff have treated me like family. Decades later, they are still absolutely knocking it out of the park. Whether it's their incredible Italian ice, authentic cannoli, specialty cookies, or my personal weakness -- their unbelievable apple rings -- this place never disappoints. Truth be told, I can't stop there without bringing one home for my wife. Some places serve food. Others serve memories, tradition, and comfort. Lyndhurst Pastry Shop has done that for me for over 40 years. A true North Jersey institution. Five stars isn't enough -- if I could give them 10 stars, I absolutely would. Leonard A. I ordered the Christmas Honey balls ($19.95) and the Fudge Layer Cake ($29.50) and while I disagree with the credit card fee being passed to the consumer, the quality of the product exceeds that cost. Inside the venue is a true classic bakery atmosphere and while there is usually a line, the service is brisk and moves fairly quickly. If you want to impress your holiday season guests, family or friends, the LPS is the right venue for traditional Italian baked goods and desserts! As i return to NJ for the holidays, I will make at least three or four stops at LPS. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The shop is small with limited places to hang out -- there's a small counter where you can stand and sip your coffee. Otherwise, they have a few small tables outside. There's a second room which has cute merch and a fridge with additional cold beverages for sale. I tried the vanilla latte and took home some treats! The spinach handpie - basically a spinach/cheese breakfast pastry, the cinnamon roll (to die for!! It was fluffy and sweet but not overly sweet like other places are), and a pumpkin cheesecake bar with pomegranate seeds. What I really like about Erie is that they make all these delicious treats and once they are sold out, they're sold out. They don't make more for the rest of the day and they don't waste food. It's always fresh!

Our area has no shortage of bakeries but those of us that have sampled a number of them realize, there are truly ones that stand out from the rest. Erie Coffee Shop & Bakery is one of those bakeries! Cute old school bake shop. Really nice and professional staff. I went in trying to be "good" and not some out with a lot. Easier said than done in this bake shop. Everything looks amazing! I asked for recommendations and left with the citrus olive oil cake, chocolate chip cookie, almond cookie, and a Madeleine. Within a couple of hours, I devoured the citrus olive oil cake. Absolutely perfect! Hint of citrus and just the right amount of moist. Also, the perfect size to feel fulfilled without feeling overly guilty. Later that night, I went for the almond cookie. Amazing texture, truly better than any almond horn I've had. The next day, I broke a piece off of the chocolate chip cookie that we got for our daughter. Perfect cookie. Then I reached for the madeleine, better than any literary device I've ever had! Transported me to my couch, where I speechlessly consumed it with some tea! Awesome! I'll be back!
