Great local coffee/diner shop. The food is prepped well. ingredients are fresh and made with care. They've got everything from bagels, to breakfast sandwiches, omelettes, pancakes, hearty sandwiches and wraps. We came on a sunday and I got a california omelette with toast and it was super yum. Their bread is surprisingly good. The husband got the Italiano and he devoured it. Also had a side of tater tots, which was perfectly crisp. Will be back to try more items! read more

Service 10/10 - the woman that took our order was super nice and the servers were on point. We ordered the breakfast quesadilla and hashbrown wrap - both were really good! They unfortunately ran out of home fries and tater tots, so opted for French fries which were still a good choice. I found this place based on other Yelp reviews. I was in the neighborhood & craving a hearty breakfast that wasn't ihop. I was absolutely amazed at the quality, portions, & menu. They have a wonderful variety of breakfast staples such as bagels, egg/ meat platters, avocado toast variations, French toast , pancakes & more. I ordered a prosciutto avocado toast, French toast, bacon egg & cheese on a roll, & an egg avocado toast. The food was packed it flavor , fresh , and cooked to perfection. I love this place the food is so good my favorite is the chicken supreme with turkey bacon cause I don't eat pork. The chicken chipotle panini is delicious too. Cute, Kind, Tasty The restaurant had a fair number of seats for it's size. I was quite pleased with the service that we received. It's a casual and cozy spot where you can expect what I would consider fairly traditional American breakfast. I decided to try the stuffed cream cheese strawberry French toast. While it wasn't my favorite I still appreciated it for what it was. For me it felt just a tad too sweet with the strawberry cream cheese on top of regular strawberries I needed a little more contrast. I still thought it was pretty good and ate it all up. I genuinely just appreciated the hospitality of the staff. We asked for sliced lemons and they walked over and brought some almost right away. They worked with our party size and said they would get us a table as soon as they could. They have a cute restaurant with fair prices and lovely décor. I like the fact that it wasn't those mashed up bits of salmon in cream cheese, they actually made slices and diced it up in between the spread. Gave it a more of salmon taste. What did I not like about this bagel? A Thomas factory made cinnamon raisin bagel tasted better than the bagel from here. The bagel I had from here tasted bland and it literally only had a few speckles of raisins in them...I counted 3 raisins on the top cut of my bagel. Personally, I find this a sad excuse of a bagel. And if you're charging customers extra for cold brew make sure the label on the pitcher doesn't have a date that's 3 days old. It tasted like the fridge. Disgusting. I find the atmosphere to be enjoyable and I always leave in a good mood thanks to the wonderful staff and the delicious cuisine. I partook of the California omelette paired with the "London Fog" and I was not disappointed. Omg, great breakfast! They have multiple breakfast/ brunch options, it used to be so pack before covid, and now is just pick up. I first ordered an omelette that was wrapped into hash browns! Yeah very creative! Then I ordered like a scrambled eggs with extra ham, Bacon, avocado, tomatoes and peppers and it was delicious! Why not 5 stars!? I didn't like their coffee, was not good at all. Unfortunately, the 3 times we ordered from them, my husband got bad diarrhea! (Lol sorry if TMI) But the last one we both got it and it was very painful. Anyway in Spanish we say " sarna con gusto no pica" which means if you enjoyed it then the itchy of the scabies doesn't bother you! Haha. One of the best breakfast spots in this area. Actually, it may be the only breakfast spot I know of around here (beside IHOP about 10 blocks down lol). When I used to live in Murray Hill, I used to visit this spot whenever I was feeling lazy enough to not cook my own food, but not lazy enough to walk a few blocks and I wanted a good breakfast. Their menu has pretty much all you'd need: breakfast sandwiches, platters, bagels, coffee, lattes and even a nice little lunch menu (I've never tried their lunch though). I think their prices may have gone up (I hadn't been here for months and just visited for the first time since then earlier this week), but still a great deal! You can get a breakfast platter that includes 2 eggs, bacon, ham, sausage patty, home fries and toast all for $7! Super delicious and obviously made right in front of you. And the omelette wow, it was just prefect. Cooked to the point where the it was the cook just knew when too take off grilled and allow the internal heat to finished the cooking, leaving a omelette tender on the outside and just barely runny on the inside. After a failed attempt of getting IHOP for breakfast we found ourselves at Java Day Cafe. Lucky for us there was one more table left just for us. We both ordered the Custom Platter, his with ham, and mine with sausage. He also ordered the French Toast. We were definitely pleased with our order and definitely got the fulfilling meals we were hoping to get to help us get through the rest of our day ahead of us. Even the staff were very friendly and the spot itself was very chill and had some nice tunes playing in the background (including some throw back Backstreet Boys ).
