I visited Jasper's on today, October 31, 2021 at 6:04 pm I order from the curb side my order number was 8778 total $34.08 my order was double tiger wings, house salad, and fries. My chicken was not cooked properly they were raw with sauce. This is unacceptable to purchase food at your restaurant that was not cooked properly. I attempt to contact the restaurant and its a answering service stated leave a message for the the manager and someone to got back with the customers. Went for happy hour yesterday. Bar was full but plenty of nearby seats. Ordered a couple apps the shrimp n crab cocktail. More like a shrimp n crab in seasoned spicy butter. Came here for lunch on a Saturday, the bar was packed, we were able to get a seat next to the bar. Waited a awhile for some one to take or drink order. All waiters and waitresses appeared flustered. Food was okay. I ordered the shrimp stuffed with crab imperial. The shrimp were dried and over cooked. The crab imperial was actually quite tasting. I arrived and was told I could sit anywhere in the bar area for Happy Hour so I sat at a booth and waited 25 mins to be noticed. My friend and I finally called a waiter over and he said I can't seat myself at the booth. I said well someone could have acknowledged me and asked me to move. We then move and a waitress immediately walks over and I asked her what kind of vodka is on the happy hour menu and she responded probably Smirnoff so I asked her to check and she rolls her eyes and says probably Smirnoff again which means she has no clue what probably means. My friend and I ordered Apple martinis which tasted like melon cough medicine. The waitress asked if we wanted something else, no we want an apple martini. She says well it's going to taste the same, rolls her eyes and walks away. She goes to a group of coworkers standing around and about 6 mins later a waiter arrives and says he'll be serving us.....so she basically decided she didn't want to serve us anymore! I requested a manager who came over and had the drinks remade after stating they used the wrong pucker which didn't matter because the drinks still were horrible! We finally gave up and left. Jasper's is usually on point for dinner but I won't be returning for HH and I'll never order an apple martini from there. read more

Good place, I had the broiled seafood plate. Its MD style with Old Bay on everything. I had a really small fork so it was hard to eat, but I was hungry and ate it all, except for the tilapia. Where do I start? Nice atmosphere, great vibe. Seating takes a while but I was prepared for that. I came here for my 25th birthday(8/10/2019). Several things were not good or what I expected. Food was okay. I've had better from Busboys & Poets in Southeast DC! But the service from the manager(Michael) when my party wanted to talk about how we weren't satisfied with the quality and taste of our food was HORRIBLE. I've never in my life experienced such rude behavior from someone who is supposed to be giving me customer service. He was very disrespectful and rude. We came here on our way to a Coldplay concert and we shouldn't have stopped. The restaurant wasnt busy whatsoever and still it somehow took us 20 minutes before anyone even looked at our table. The Food took forever and was sub par at best. The only thing that salvaged our experience was an employee named Kevin. He was awesome. He came out of his way to take care of us even though we weren't even in his section. We are greatly appreciative of him and his hard work. The food and people are great, however you can tell the difference in the chefs over the years. Which really sucks because the chef in 2005 actually had me EATING Brussel Sprouts!!! Not these days though, the cook now doesn't cook it as well, but non the less their drinks are awesome. The music is on point and there is never any violence. read more

We went for Easter Brunch and the food was really good. Omelet bar was absolutely on point, My favorite...The fajita bar was heaven & the chicken fajita just melted in my mouth, the waffle bar was cool just start giving out more than just 1 waffle (stingy). Jasper's fell short of 5 stars because our server was slow. My sister ordered milk & it took forever to come...why? We had to wait about 10 minutes for our check...not cool at all. I enjoyed the food and atmosphere for a late weekend lunch. The place was clean. The waitress was attentive even though she was very busy. We waited a long time for the food which she apologized for, saying that the kitchen did not get our order for some reason. We asked for bread while we waited but was told that there wasn't any. Sooooo - for an $18 all you can eat brunch - it ain't bad! The omelette station was great!! They had 4 or 5 burners and they were TRULY working them! The suggestion I would make is to have ONE pan, spatula and towel set aside for ppl with shrimp allergies like me. Most stations now don't even offer shrimp, so I ppl really appreciate that. The chef was however VERY accomodating in my request to wash out the pan and spatula instead of just wiping it off like they do. Wiping it DOESN'T clean it and there is definetly still shrimp residue in the towel. The fried chicken was a bit small and over fried, though. I didn't try the carving station, but it looked nice. Like another review stated, it was PACKED! But our wait wasn't as long as they told us, which was good. The LINES however to get food were AWFUL!!!!! I get it....It's $18, REALLY cheap for all you can eat brunch! And - they DID have a great omlette station, waffles, fruit and such. My suggestion would be to try and maximize the space more. It was REALLY tight in there - REALLY. Maybe use the bar as the ENTIRE bar as an alternate spot and just let go of the 10 seats it provides. The mimosa, while only 4.99 (I believe) was more like Orange juice with died out fizz than it was OJ and Sparking wine. They should also probably have a reservation system. That may make it a bit more palatable. At LEAST have call ahead seating. All in all - it was definetly worth it for the price. We've been to many a buffett in the area and we'd go back there merely because of the price. read more

First and last time here. Bar staff was fine towards us but there was some uncomfortable conversations being had by staff of a sexual nature and a lot of sexist language was being used - - that was enough to know it isn't the place for me but we were there and determined to enjoy ourselves. Service was OK, but towards closing someone from staff got really pushy and rude with me and my girlfriend. The way he spoke to us was devoid of any professionalism or courtesy. I was so shocked at his behavior I didn't even address him there - - I just planned to never return and post about it on social media to let others know to stay away. My girlfriend did address him and he walked off as she was speaking. Honestly, his behavior was so unwarranted and unprovoked I had to consider if he was targeting us because we were a same sex couple. I can't imagine what else it could've been as we hadn't interacted with him whatsoever the whole night - he came over towards the end and ruined the night for us. To add to it, the police officers there made advances toward us that weren't invited or wanted. The whole experience was gross, predatory, and felt unsafe. read more

I hadn't been to Jaspers in years and I dont ever remember having a bad experience here. I wasnt disappointed this time either. The food and drinks were good and our waiter was quick and attentive. I ordered the Latino Eggrolls and some type of mango drink that was DELICIOUS! As we were leaving, more folks started to trickle in and head to the bar. If I get a drink, most likely its a fruity type of drink that will hit me a little later or when I stand up. LOL They fill the glass to the top! For food, I love their chicken tenders and boneless wing trio (dipped in three sauces: honey bbq, spicy buffalo and sweet tiger chile -mmmm!) appetizer. Brunch on Sunday is great as well. They have a buffet! All kind of food! All You Can Eat for $19. Not bad...Right? Well, I believe it was worth every penny. They had eggs, girts, three types of sausage, belgium waffles (made right at the buffet), french toast bites, bacon, chicken, omletes (made just the way you want), fajita bar, fruit bar, Chef Carved Oven Roasted Beef and Ham...list goes on and on! I've been coming to jaspers for years. Always good service and always good food. So last night I had a friend come from outta town and her hotel is in largo. Shes wanted to stop and get a drink and a bite to eat so i suggested jaspers because ive always gone there when im in that area to eat. So my friend ordered a seafood dish and I ordered the chicken sandwich which actually is three smaller sandwiches but still looked great I also asked for a side of mustard. So I finish the first sandwich with no issues then I take the bun off the second sandwich to put on some mustard and I notice a long hair on top. I immediately lost my appetite and called over the manager. He offers to make a new one or take it off my bill. I'm not sure about visiting this place again......! read more

It has been at least 10 years since I have dined at tHis Jaspers.....and unfortunately, not a lot has changed. I decided to have dinner with my nephew here because it was close to his home and surprisingly this pLace is just as busy on a Friday Niigata as it was 10+ years ago. Knew I was in trouble when I pulled into the parking lot. It was so full that I had to go to the farthest end to park. As soon as I pulled up I noticed a black car with it's worth India busted out. I immediately told the police officer sitting in his cruiser (in front of the restaurant) and he nonchalantly said "yeah, know." I go inside and put my name on the wait list and considering the amount of patrons it wasn't too Bad of a wait (35 min). I go to the men's bathroom and I am immediately "Bruce Lee chopped" to the face with a very strong Oder of feces. Someone decided to relieve their bowels in the men's urinal and not the toilet.....how's that for an appetizer before your meal? It didn't seem like anyone workiNg there was in a hurry to clean it up either. As I continued to wait in the wait area a women grabs the mic and announces that several cars had been broken into in the parking lot. Of course, that cleared the place as we all went outside to check on our individual vehicles. I just saw the one car but apparently 5 cars were broken into in spite of police presence on the property (what does that tell you?). My nephew arrives and we are seated 5 min later. I found everyone there to be pleasant and engaging So I have no problem there. In fact our server had a great sense of humor. Both my nephew and I ordered cocktails and the drinks might as well been straight liquor. There was barely any cranberry juice added to my t vodka & cranberry. I'm assuming they make drinks that way because people complain about not having enough alcohol. Needless to say I order a glass of cranberry on the side....for us non-alcoholic types. My burger was just okay and my nephew enjoyed his wings. W doubt I would comeback but if you are part of the twenty something age group it's a great place to do happy hour. read more

I remember the glory days of Jasper's, when both the food and service were good. Before it had more than one location, and even when the Crofton location was still open. But now, I've learned to expect lousy service and just-OK food. I would only recommend this for takeout for something better than fast food. And, never pick up your takeout from the bar. Expect a gamble: The bartenders' levels of responsiveness can vary from good to adequate to spaced-out-but-arrogant. read more
