Where do I start? Nice atmosphere, great vibe. Seating takes a while but I was prepared for that. I came here for my 25th birthday(8/10/2019). Several things were not good or what I expected. Food was okay. I've had better from Busboys & Poets in Southeast DC! But the service from the manager(Michael) when my party wanted to talk about how we weren't satisfied with the quality and taste of our food was HORRIBLE. I've never in my life experienced such rude behavior from someone who is supposed to be giving me customer service. He was very disrespectful and rude. He got an attitude and made us feel very uncomfortable. I will no longer be returning to this establishment. read more

We came here on our way to a Coldplay concert and we shouldn't have stopped. The restaurant wasnt busy whatsoever and still it somehow took us 20 minutes before anyone even looked at our table. The Food took forever and was sub par at best. The only thing that salvaged our experience was an employee named Kevin. He was awesome. He came out of his way to take care of us even though we weren't even in his section. We are greatly appreciative of him and his hard work. The food and people are great, however you can tell the difference in the chefs over the years. Which really sucks because the chef in 2005 actually had me EATING Brussel Sprouts!!! I enjoyed the food and atmosphere for a late weekend lunch. The place was clean. The waitress was attentive even though she was very busy. We waited a long time for the food which she apologized for, saying that the kitchen did not get our order for some reason. We asked for bread while we waited but was told that there wasn't any. Always love jasper's grown vibe. My waiter was polite and prompt, food came out I'm a good time, wait was not long at all. I ordered wings and the shrimp and chicken pasta both were really good and the amount for the pasta dish you get was healthy and not like everywhere else you go and you get just enough, like no it could not be finished in one sitting. Today's visit has been one of the best experiences I have ever had at this restaurant. First, the renovations they made were great! More open floor space and seating around the bar! My waiter, Stephon, approached me while waiting for spaces to open up at the bar and offered to have me seated at one of his tables (in the new section) while I waited on my guest and bring me a drink. After I sat down, he came over with my beer and took my food order which came out quickly. He was funny and very personable. After the food came out, he came over shortly after to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the food. He made several stops to refill our drinks as well. I noticed him engaging all of his tables with conversation and laughter. I come here frequently and have had a few less than stellar experiences, but the fun atmosphere & tiger wings keep me and my friends coming back. I am so glad Jaspers has brought on someone who cares so much about taking excellent care of his customers. I will be sure to ask for him whenever I visit! read more

First and last time here. Bar staff was fine towards us but there was some uncomfortable conversations being had by staff of a sexual nature and a lot of sexist language was being used - - that was enough to know it isn't the place for me but we were there and determined to enjoy ourselves. Service was OK, but towards closing someone from staff got really pushy and rude with me and my girlfriend. The way he spoke to us was devoid of any professionalism or courtesy. I was so shocked at his behavior I didn't even address him there - - I just planned to never return and post about it on social media to let others know to stay away. My girlfriend did address him and he walked off as she was speaking. Honestly, his behavior was so unwarranted and unprovoked I had to consider if he was targeting us because we were a same sex couple. I can't imagine what else it could've been as we hadn't interacted with him whatsoever the whole night - he came over towards the end and ruined the night for us. To add to it, the police officers there made advances toward us that weren't invited or wanted. The whole experience was gross, predatory, and felt unsafe. read more

First and probably last time coming back. The brunch direction is sub-par; fruit wasn't fresh and most of the breakfast items were not good to me...except the waffles. My dining companions were in agreement. However, it was well stocked. They also don't offer unlimited mimosas or even an option to order a pitcher Our waiter wasn't that attentive, to the point where we decided to help clear our own dishes. Granted we were a large group, but c'Mon son! It wasn't that busy The biggest issue I had were the employees... We were seated near the kitchen and a lot of the employees came out of the back and chatted loudly near our table. So, I call and proceed to get passed around to 6 different people who act like they have no idea why I'm calling. Then finally, I get to someone who says, let me see if we have something available, then puts me on hold for 10 more minutes... I finally hung up. What the living F? I've been coming to jaspers for years. Always good service and always good food. So last night I had a friend come from outta town and her hotel is in largo. Shes wanted to stop and get a drink and a bite to eat so i suggested jaspers because ive always gone there when im in that area to eat. So my friend ordered a seafood dish and I ordered the chicken sandwich which actually is three smaller sandwiches but still looked great I also asked for a side of mustard. So I finish the first sandwich with no issues then I take the bun off the second sandwich to put on some mustard and I notice a long hair on top. I immediately lost my appetite and called over the manager. He offers to make a new one or take it off my bill. I'm not sure about visiting this place again......! read more

I go to Jasper's often. It has a great atmosphere, great food, great drinks, and great service. I order the seafood explosion and it never disappoints. On Friday and Saturday nights, it's packed and you'll have more of a lounge/party environment. I highly recommend! read more

It has been at least 10 years since I have dined at tHis Jaspers.....and unfortunately, not a lot has changed. I decided to have dinner with my nephew here because it was close to his home and surprisingly this pLace is just as busy on a Friday Niigata as it was 10+ years ago. Knew I was in trouble when I pulled into the parking lot. It was so full that I had to go to the farthest end to park. As soon as I pulled up I noticed a black car with it's worth India busted out. I immediately told the police officer sitting in his cruiser (in front of the restaurant) and he nonchalantly said "yeah, know." I go inside and put my name on the wait list and considering the amount of patrons it wasn't too Bad of a wait (35 min). I go to the men's bathroom and I am immediately "Bruce Lee chopped" to the face with a very strong Oder of feces. Someone decided to relieve their bowels in the men's urinal and not the toilet.....how's that for an appetizer before your meal? It didn't seem like anyone workiNg there was in a hurry to clean it up either. As I continued to wait in the wait area a women grabs the mic and announces that several cars had been broken into in the parking lot. Of course, that cleared the place as we all went outside to check on our individual vehicles. I just saw the one car but apparently 5 cars were broken into in spite of police presence on the property (what does that tell you?). My nephew arrives and we are seated 5 min later. I found everyone there to be pleasant and engaging So I have no problem there. In fact our server had a great sense of humor. Both my nephew and I ordered cocktails and the drinks might as well been straight liquor. There was barely any cranberry juice added to my t vodka & cranberry. I'm assuming they make drinks that way because people complain about not having enough alcohol. Needless to say I order a glass of cranberry on the side....for us non-alcoholic types. My burger was just okay and my nephew enjoyed his wings. W doubt I would comeback but if you are part of the twenty something age group it's a great place to do happy hour. read more

Good place, I had the broiled seafood plate. Its MD style with Old Bay on everything. I had a really small fork so it was hard to eat, but I was hungry and ate it all, except for the tilapia. I called in a togo order, the lady on the phone was very nice. When I got to the store I had waited at the curbside parking for around 5 min. I then decided to call them and let them know I was outside. They proceeded to keep me on hold for 3 minutes, which is understandable since they were probably taking someone's other to go order. The service was fine, I eventually got my food. I got home (only 10 min away) to the food already being cold. The Mac and cheese had absolutely no flavor. Then to top It off a long crinkly black hair was in my Cajun pasta. I'm extremely disappointed and will never be coming back. Omelet bar was absolutely on point, My favorite...The fajita bar was heaven & the chicken fajita just melted in my mouth, the waffle bar was cool just start giving out more than just 1 waffle (stingy). Jasper's fell short of 5 stars because our server was slow. My sister ordered milk & it took forever to come...why? We had to wait about 10 minutes for our check...not cool at all. Sooooo - for an $18 all you can eat brunch - it ain't bad! The omelette station was great!! They had 4 or 5 burners and they were TRULY working them! The suggestion I would make is to have ONE pan, spatula and towel set aside for ppl with shrimp allergies like me. Most stations now don't even offer shrimp, so I ppl really appreciate that. The chef was however VERY accomodating in my request to wash out the pan and spatula instead of just wiping it off like they do. Wiping it DOESN'T clean it and there is definetly still shrimp residue in the towel. The fried chicken was a bit small and over fried, though. I didn't try the carving station, but it looked nice. Like another review stated, it was PACKED! But our wait wasn't as long as they told us, which was good. The LINES however to get food were AWFUL!!!!! I get it....It's $18, REALLY cheap for all you can eat brunch! And - they DID have a great omlette station, waffles, fruit and such. My suggestion would be to try and maximize the space more. It was REALLY tight in there - REALLY. Maybe use the bar as the ENTIRE bar as an alternate spot and just let go of the 10 seats it provides. The mimosa, while only 4.99 (I believe) was more like Orange juice with died out fizz than it was OJ and Sparking wine. They should also probably have a reservation system. That may make it a bit more palatable. At LEAST have call ahead seating. All in all - it was definetly worth it for the price. We've been to many a buffett in the area and we'd go back there merely because of the price. read more

Came here for happy hour on a Friday night. We got there early so there was barely anyone in the restaurant except for a few folks at the bar. We were greeted and seated immediately. I hadn't been to Jaspers in years and I dont ever remember having a bad experience here. I wasnt disappointed this time either. The food and drinks were good and our waiter was quick and attentive. I ordered the Latino Eggrolls and some type of mango drink that was DELICIOUS! As we were leaving, more folks started to trickle in and head to the bar.
