I have been to this establishment several times. It is one of the many PG county local hang out places that has many returning HH customers. I ate both at the bar area and the dinning however, make sure you stick by the bar area. The service is quick bc you are right inform of them lol and the drinks are made well. They have extensive menu and also have nice brunch on Sundays. They have around the clock happy hour by the bar area. The place is alway crowded regardless of weather or other events be patient to circle around few times before you find seating near the bar. The food is a hit or miss. I guess it depends on the chef. Regardless it has been the local hang out for years and you can't beat their HH drinks. read more

This is my second time at this restaurant. I won't be going back. The first time I waited 15 min to order the broiled crab cake platter. I tasted just ok to me. Fast-forward a year later. I decided to try it again today. The Host/Hostess didn't seem like they really wanted to be there. The waitress was a very pleasant young lady. I ordered the Ultimate Seafood Platter. Three young ladies took me to Jasper's for lunch earlier this month .It was to celebrate my 92nd birthday. The service was great inside and outside because there was a security lady outside that was so wonderful. She let everyone going in and coming out about this 92 year old lady. First time visiting while in town & it was Saturday, albeit early for dinner Saturday & we were told there was an hour wait. The lobby waiting area was packed with patrons waiting to be seated. Some had been waiting for over two hours (they had a very large party but still!! ) we stuck out our wait. Got a text immediately saying our wait would be 30-45 mins. Felt pretty good about that. The whole time we waited there were 4 employees standing around the hostess station seemingly not really knowing what they were supposed to do. Just standing there joking around, eating snacks, one even collecting an application from a girl & stood there pointing out things on it with his coworkers & laughing, having a great time. Head guys were busy left & right attempting to explain to folks why they were waiting so long. A server comes from the dining area somewhere & says they are short staffed (not for hostesses apparently). Managers never said that. After an hour & a half we finally get seated. Know exactly what we want since we had forever to pour over the menu, ordered a couple dishes that seemed easy enough & would hopefully be quick because HUNGRY! Salads, a lobster bisque & spicy Cajun jambalaya. Salads came out after awhile. Then a few minutes later the bisque. My slow eating wife was almost finished with her food when she asked the waitress if my jambalaya was coming soon. A little bit later she stops by the table saying it should be out soon. It finally made it to the table & is literally the reason for the 2 stars. It was delicious & if I ever find myself back in that area & have to eat here we're definitely ordering to go. read more

This will forever be one of my favorite spots! The ambiance is very lovely but keep in mind during sport games nights/or when those bike groups meet up it can be very overwhelming, crowded, and lit at the bar. However there is law enforcement present here so not much nonsense. It's spacious and clean inside enough for you to have privacy at your table. The food is extremely flavorful and tasteful. Went on a Friday night. It was my first time so I didn't know about the atmosphere or dress code. We went to sit in the bar booth area, so we didn't have a wait time. The service was cool. The food was pretty good. I ordered the fried chicken breast, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese. I'd go back so I can experience other menu items. I went here after work on a Friday afternoon. The food was delicious and my drink was excellent as well. For my meal I had the Baked shrimp stuffed with crab. And for my drink I enjoyed an old fashioned. Service was prompt and friendly. I will warn you that it can be a bit noisy but if you like a lively crowd then you will enjoy this place. They have two bars and seating all around. I will be back. Hopefully I'll get to try their brunch. read more

You know, I like this place for the most part. The food is good and the drinks are delicious, but the service is hit or miss. Sometimes, you get a great server and things are popping. You can get your food and drinks in a timely fashion and enjoy the atmosphere and the music. Other times, you can get a server who is one of those people who don't like their jobs and ultimately ruins your experience. Most of the time though, it's a positive experience. The weird thing about the Jasper's is that the bar area, which is 50% of the restaurant, has a 24-hour happy hour. So if you're 2 feet away from that area, you're paying full price, while those in the bar area are getting upwards of $5-6 off food. Drink specials are only $1 off (so that's lame). Actually, all of that's lame. This doesn't conceptually make sense to me. It's a cool spot, but if I'm not in the bar area, what's the point? read more

I went to Jasper during lunch time. The service was great. Fast and accurate. The waitress was patient and helpful with menu selections. She had a great attitude and a pleasant desire to make sure I had a great experience and that was noted and appreciated. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The space is nicely decorated and in an open floor lay out. The lighting is a bit dim but not too dark, its intimate and welcoming. Very family friendly. Parking can be a bit stressful but I usually find a spot. Overall,Jaspers is a great choice and location is key for me. Very close to my home, which is a plus! read more

When I crave seafood, I'm at happy hour early for the shrimp and crab dip... or the shrimp and crab cocktail... or the colossal crab cocktail, heck their lobster bisque is great too! I don't go just for the seafood, their tiger sauce on anything is great... tiger wings, tiger shrimp, you name it! Now the best part- the drinks! If I start to name the bar tenders I like, I would probably end up naming them all. Even when it gets busy, which is pretty much everyday, they are still attentive. The wait is long to dine in or have a good seat at the bar to watch a game I usually order in advance and pick up my order from the bar. I only get the crab dip and ribeye to go. The ribeye is seasoned well and moist. I never have any issues with my food. The restaurant is typically crowded every night of the week. If you like to "people watch" lol this is a good place it's always a interesting crowd. You see it all dining here! I think the restaurant should really enforce a Dress Code! Every time I go to Jasper's it does not disappoint. I am always pleased with the food and drinks. Side note: The Moscato Sangria will get you lit real quick! Of course the Tiger Wings are amazing. However, don't sleep on the Buffalo Chicken Dip or Tiger Shrimp. When I bring my family, they enjoy the Jambalaya, which can also come with rice. Everyone loves it better that way. I choose different entrees as I want to get a feel for the entire menu, and I have been pleasantly pleased with each item I order. Although, their calamari is good, it can be fried harder, and maybe even dip it in the Tiger sauce as well. I have no complaints with this place. read more
