0 stars I ordered curbside at 9:15 arrived at 10:15 waited at the pickup door for 20 mins got out knocked and got no answer I go inside ask for the manager and explain the situation wait 8 mins he comes back talking about he warmed the food up no apology no discount nothing! THIS IS A GHETTO @** hole in the wall as it pertains to customer service. I asked was he going to make some sort of amends and his response was he couldn't verify what time I arrived The other manager first insisted I should of came inside then later offered to remake the food which at 11pm my desire to sleep superceeded my hunger read more

Jaspers is a hit or miss spot. The food and drinks can be so-so depending on the night. Spicy fish tacos are good. The drinks were watered down. So I ordered a shot of Hennessy. The bar staff was extremely slow during the busy rush of happy hour. Nice mix of people that come out to this place from all around which is good for socializing. read more

Food was very good. Wait staff could have been more attentive. Lack of hot water in restrooms was a big minus for me!

Good ole Jaspers. Visited recently just because and was pleasantly surprised at the level of COVID precautions that were in place. Tables were blocked off for social distancing & the drinks were good as always. read more

Food was good, but I didn't see my server for 10 minutes to take my order. Got my meal a good 15 minutes before they came out with my Spinach dip. Enough time for her to come by and ask how the food was, which was then I told her to cancel the app. I found out it was her first day, so cut her slack and still gave 20% tip. The Spinach Dip was kitchen's fault not hers. read more

Great Buffalo Chicken Salad! Service was fast and friendly. First visit to this place and I will be back

I was at the restaurant on 2/12/22 it really doesn't deserve a star but I'll give it a one star rating the food was terrible my drink was not made right the Server was terrible he was to slow and did not get my order Wright .we had to switch Servers because of poor Service. The only thing that was good was my Salad everything else was horrible.Jasper,s need new Management new Servers, Bartenders, and definitely a new Cook Never will I come here again. read more

Torn about this one. The food is hit or miss. Food alone could land this place 2 stars, 3 on a rare good day. Problem is the misses on the food and then.....service. Service is not horrible....but they just don't give a care! I realize for some that's not horrible but in my book there's a difference between rudeness and apathy. Lot of apathy going on there. Making matters worse....environment and clientele is....interesting. It's a place that I think works for the happy hour crowd that likes to get their drink on and get rowdy in the process. Also a place that tries to simulate a club/lounge environment on Friday/Saturday nights and lemme tell you....they could definitely charge for people watching. Someone call the narrator from National Geographic! read more

Okay so the wait was an hour. We waited in the car because we really love their food and drinks. Fast forward I found a hair In my greens...Veronika the manager was absolutely apathetic. Instead of drinking at the bar with your employees I'd expect a manager to atleast help. She Didn't even apologize or try to find a solution and still tried to charge me for them. Really unfortunate experience. We asked to speak to her and she refused to come back to speak with us. Been coming here for years, today was the worst service we've ever received. The pandemic isn't an excuse for terrible service and health violations. It's got to be better than this. Just avoid this restaurant or just stick with drinks so you don't have to deal with hair in your food and poor service. Good luck, thank me later. read more

I ate here prior to 2007 probably when they were under different management. I had a chicken Marsala and the mushrooms made me sick - literal food poisoning, vomiting the rest of the night. Their slogan is "in the spirit of fun" Went back Dec 27 2015 with a party of 8 and had a good experience. Personally I ordered the kiwi lemonade - bright green, much like sugar water, and the cowboy sliders medium well, which were cooked correctly, and a dinner salad with my entree. For such a large party our order was correct and the bill was $166.13 as it was a family reunion dinner none of us ordered alcohol and no one was sick thankfully. This is an ok spot but the neighborhood has a history of violence, and the restaurant is under surveillance because someone was stabbed there years back? read more

Our group home came yesterday for our clients birthday. It was rocky getting us seated all together but after we all sat together. Our waitress Katie was excellent. Her patience's with dealing with some of our special needs clients was amazing. She made jokes and in the car ride back home all of them kept saying her jokes. It was a pleasure to see our clients all happy and treated as one. Katie was awesome. read more

Again my personal Yelp consultant (i.e. Yelp app) lead me here. I thought the building was closed or had moved when I arrived because it looks a little "empty" for lack of a better word. However when we stepped inside we were transported to a place somewhere between the 1940s and the present. The layout is very reminiscent of an old jazz club with the bar taking the center stage. Large televisions to watch while you eat and a happy hour (that our waiter unfortunately failed to tell us about) and a very (maybe too large??) menu. I ordered chicken tenders and my friend ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and was very happy with his flavors. Nothing surprising about my dish but I just wanted something quick. As with many restaurants substituting for a salad instead of fries is an upcharge (why is being healthy so expensive?!) so I opted out. But I did try a side of the collard greens and it reminded me of something my Mom would make. Perfect balance of salty and bitter with chunks of smoked pork in it. Mmmm. All in all I'm glad I didn't judge Jaspers by it's cover (or lack of one!) and took a chance to go in. Don't be afraid of the culinary unknown Yelpers, you might just be surprised. read more

I have been coming here for years and never experienced what I have today. My friend ordered the Chino Latino Eggrolls and some Crab egg rolls were brought to our table. He ate one thinking it was what we ordered. He realized it wasn't and pushed them to the side. The bill came out and they charged us for the crab eggrolls. It was there mistake. The manager watched on the camera to see if we ate them all. When she came to our table she tried to justify charging us by saying he ate one. He thought it was the egg rolls we ordered. Piss poor management. This place is run by morons. Dont come here. read more

The Setup: it's a pretty big space. There's a large bar with table seating in the middle of the restaurant with plenty of space to sit and watch the game with friends. The Food: ummmm I'll pass on the food if I ever return to this place. I had the salmon salad for $16 and it just wasn't worth the money. It was a very small piece of salmon, maybe 2 oz, on a bed of romain and iceberg lettuce. Typically, salmon salads are on a bed of mixed greens with supporting vegetables, but this was just fish and lettuce with feta cheese. My friend got a Turkey burger that didn't look very appetizing. The Drinks: another Yelper noted the drinks are watered down and mostly ice. Yea, that's about right! I ordered a LIT with light ice and there was a noticable difference between my drink and my friend's drink. The Service: our server was decent. She had a lot of tables to look in on and we never felt abandoned or neglected. Thanks, Jay. read more

I usually come to Jasper's for their brunch on Sunday after church. Always nice ambience but the past few times I have noticed that the Brunch except for the waffles and omelettes have really gone down hill. The fried chicken is fried too hard. The pasta was too oily, there was more oil than flavor. The fajita bar, whatever that cheese sauce was it was just nasty. Those were just a few things that were not good. I feel that over the years the quality has gone down but quantity is always good. If they would just fix that it would be so much better. However, my recommendation or returning will not be anytime soon. read more

Last night my wife and I decided to eat at Jaspers. We typically usually sit at the bar but it was packed. We ended up sitting ourself at the high tables. When I say we had the best service ever from Katie 10/10. My wife instantly could tell she's been doing this job for years just by the way she greeted us. The food and drinks were definitely good but we will be coming back more so for the great service. It's very rare nowadays to find people with good customer service and who like their jobs! read more

Had a first date here! Came because of the Shrimp & Grits which we found out were taken off the menu, ugh! Our server was very cool, date went well, got surprised with some really good Strawberry Shortcake! The Tiger Shrimp was amazing, the Crab Cakes were good, and the Lobster Bisque was just okay along with drinks but my guy said his Long Island Ice Tea was good along with his Shrimp & Chicken pasta... Will be back for that Tiger Shrimp for sure, and nice atmosphere! read more

I stopped by for happy hour with a friend the other night and tried their margaritas and calamari. The place was packed and several different games were shown in the big screen. Happy hour specials are honored all night long on Mondays but not at tables which was weird to me. Luckily, our original server made us aware of this before we sat down and encouraged us to move to the bar section. The margaritas were tasty, and the bartender was heavy-handed which I appreciated. The calamari was a little bland and too greasy for my liking. I will be back but will definitely not order the calamari again. For a solid happy hour and some good vibe, check this place out. read more

Ummmmm. Definitely mixed reviews. I came here about a year ago for a birthday brunch. It was a buffet and the food was really good, as wel as the mimosas. I came back a couple weeks ago, and it wasn't as good as i remember. Not to say it wasnt good at all, i just know I've had better. Nothing on the menu really jumped out at me, so i got the basic fish and chips. Again, not terrible, but not the best. The drinks were strong! If you're looking for a quick buzz, this place is for you. If you're looking to sip slow and enjoy, maybe not so much. I wouldn't count this place out totally. But, i might just stick to the brunch buffet. read more

I wasn't impressed. I was looking for a new brunch spot to try on Sunday and since I heard about this place so many times before, I decided to give it a try. When we arrived, instead of being welcomed with a smile and warm greeting, we were welcomed with blank stares and a clip board stating a 2 hour eating/sitting limit during brunch. We approached the hostess stand they still stared at us. My friend decided to "break the ice" and requested a table for 2. We were told the wait was 35 minutes- not bad. While we were waiting a few kids ran across the platform behind the hostess stand and instead of quietly talking to the children one of the workers said "hey, y'all can't run back there" and "whispered" to her fellow co-workers loudly "People need to come get their kids" -WOW When our name was called, we were shown to our table and the seat was still wet. I asked the hostess if she would be able to dry the seat and she simply looked at me and walked away. I asked my friend "Was that not our hostess" I was genuinely confused. A few seconds later a lady came over to dry the seat. As I looked around, I realized it was a brunch buffet. I was expecting a more formal style brunch but that was okay. There was one menu on the table- it was 2 of us. So we shared the menu. The men at the omelette station were nice and fast as well. I tried the french toast however, the inside was not cooked. I figured the 1st two I selected were just an unlucky pair so I tried again. No such luck! The second go round was the same way. While I was there, they never brought more fried chicken out it was the same 5 dried chicken thighs- a lot of people bypassed them. The sweet potatoes were NOT good. The shell macaroni and cheese had NO flavor and it taste like they ran out of cheese and the turkey sausage were salty. I will not be back. Money NOT well spent. read more

Since moving into the area I wanted to find a cute spot to chill at with good drinks and good food - enter Jaspers. My best friend introduced me to this spot and I've been back about 7-8 times and each time is super chill and I love their happy hour! I usually get the DC tap water, crab and shrimp dip, combo of old bay and sweet chili thai wings (?) and some other stuff here and there but the first two are definitely my favorites! The atmosphere and crowd are super chill, wait staff pretty friendly and the music is something you can groove to. I recently discovered they have lunch specials too. Last week I had the cesar salad and lobster bisque combo and it was SO good. Yea, Jaspers is pretty cool and a spot I plan to return to again and again! read more

I don't see why this place gets mediocre reviews. Came here for an early Sunday brunch and the buffet was pretty damn good. The food was hot & fresh, with lots of variety. I'm not a fan of buffets (in general) but overall I thought it was really good. Love the ambience here...dimly lit & spacious. Service was prompt & friendly & I'd come back for the brunch buffet. This place needs a rescue. One hostess said I could be I seated immediately and the other hosted said 20 minute wait. I watched as I was waiting for my husband to park the car that everyone that came in after me she would say its a 20 minute wait. When we walked through the restaurant to be seated it was many empty tables. I had the fried seafood platter. The food was over cooked. Plastic cup was cracked and water spilled all over the table, the coffee was luke warm, and the service was mediocre. Its very loud and not the place you want to go to if you want to have conversations while eating. The food pictures on line are false advertisements. I give it a 2 star because we were able to get seated immediately. read more
