The food was great, I definitely recommend this restaurant. Once I ordered the food arrived quickly.

Not like it used to be. At least not at the Largo, MD location. Recently had fish that was not seasoned well. The only thing I enjoyed were the rolls. read more

I came in from out of town (Philly) and someone recommend this place to us. I read so many bad reviews about them but still wanted to try for myself. Glad I didn't listen. Our food was really good!! No complaints at all and our server was friendly with a smile. read more

Jaspers is a really great place to hang out after work or grab a drink was friends. The food is good and I can ever remember having a issue with them. They do take forever when picking up though... The wings are my favorite!! read more

My mouth was watering for some butterfly fried shrimp from Jaspers. I headed toward the bar to sit on the side booth. However, that changed quickly when I was told that unless you are actually sitting at the bar, You Must Be Seated. So, I went back and asked to be seated and the four employees at the hostess station got an attitude when I asked to be seated on the right. They said ten minutes when NO ONE was in line AND there are many open tables. But I decided to wait, until the male hostess came and they started whispering/talking so we decided to leave. Darlins', I don't have to patronize your establishment. The manager should take at least $25 out of each of the four of you all paycheck that I would of spent for lunch . I just wanted lunch as I was out and about. NOW I REMEMBER WHY I HAVE NOT BEEN TO JASPERS FOR ABOUT 5 years. Service is still bad!!! read more

We were visiting from California to attend my daughter's graduation at UMD and went to dinner afterwards at Jasper's. They did not appear to be busy but the service was very slow. The food was not that great. We ordered crab dip and calamari appetizers which tasted pretty fresh and were good. A couple of people ordered turkey burgers and two others ordered the beef burgers which were ok, I think they all enjoyed the fries the most. A couple of people ordered salads which were good except for the spicy shrimp salad. It was as if they ran out of the lettuce cuz it was not a very large salad for the price and the shrimp was dry not juicy. We ordered sweet tea and a couple of us never got those. I ordered roasted asparagus as an appetizer and I never got it. However our total bill was adjusted for the missing items. The ambiance was nice and we took photos of our group in the restaurant lobby area which had a very nice scenery. No pics of food, sorry! read more

let me make a long sad story short. I quit my job and moved back to the area due to my step dad being diagnosed with cancer a little over a month ago. so naturally I've been stressed, sad and on edge. My boyfriend planned a day out to take my mind off of things while. We agreed on everything except where to eat. I bragged about Jasper's and insisted that we eat there. We walked in and were seated in the bar area and told a server would be with us shortly. 45 min later, still no server. Walked over to a server to ask if he has our table he rudely let me know we're not in his section. After explaining that we've waited nearly an hour he agreed to find out server. 30 min later still no server. I walked back to the host and got him to find a server. Still no server. At this point it was too late to go to a different restaurant so we had to deal with this. A server walked by and I asked if he's the server. He said as soon as he finished bussing the table he will be over to take our order. That boy took a good 20 min because he was holding conversation with a table that already had their food and drinks. when he finally came he told us the server who should have covered our section walked out on the shift Or something of that nature. He took our orders but the options were limited on what sides were could get due to either being out of him saying there were complaints and wouldn't recommend we order it specifically the Mac and cheese. He brought our food and drinks and it was ok. After eating I asked for a manager. The manager came over, didn't introduce himself and didn't apologize for the service. He simply shrugged his shoulders and said he would do nothing. The server said the manager is always like that. This caused a huge argument with my boyfriend and the amount of time spent left my step dad worried and confused. Just disrespectful. read more

I've been coming to this place since my divorce celebration in 2007... it never misses! I love their Sunday brunch buffet, ohhh weee lawd! Jasper's rarely disappoints. Yes it was one time there was a baby roach in my friend food still alive but that was 4 -5 years ago so it's time you make amends. It's a beautiful more on the upscale side neighborhood casual restaurants and the drinks are also great. Definitely a spot people have large parties birthday dinners because of the size & atmosphere. read more

I've been here a few times with my cousin and his friend from college when he comes to visit from out of town. I really like the atmosphere at jaspers it's very lively, welcoming and friendly every time that I visit. We went last night and had a wonderful server Alexandria. She was very attentive and checked on us a good amount of times. I had the jaspers shrimp and the coco-mango drink and my cousin and I shared the apple pie dessert. Everything tasted really good. I've heard so much about the drinks here but my drink was not strong at all it tasted like juice so I was a bit disappointed because we were there for celebratory reasons. Other than that the service was fine. We did have to wait because it was packed which seemed unusual for a Tuesday night but the wait wasn't too long. read more

Its been years since I have been to Jaspers. It wasn't bad at all. I will return to try out the stuffed shrimps. Everyone in our party was happy with both the food and drinks. My salmon was a little over cooked but was edible. I'm a healthy eater that don't eat too many sauces and seasonings. I always ask for them to be put on the side. For my tastebuds the salmon and crab explosion was flavorful without sauces/seasonings. The sweet potatoes fries was very soft but ok. A good place for meet ups, catching up or hanging out. There are tvs at the bar playing sports. The atmosphere here is very energetic and loud. read more

Very good food. Pleased with the service. I recommend a visit. Good ambience. Love tvs showing sports shows

This was really very good, and a good value. The hostesses need some real further training. They're pretty horrible. That's the only reason I went to 4 instead of 5 stars. She literally made eye contact with us, and continued her conversation with her friend or coworker. Very awkward and rude. For the food: it was fantastic! My boyfriend really wanted the spinach artichoke dip, he loves it. So that's what we started with. A+. For his entree, he got the sirloin steak with mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. I promise you, their mac n cheese is soooo good. His steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I got the grilled salmon salad. No cheese, and I asked if I could get teriyaki sauce on the side instead of dressing. Yep! I also got a side of greens, because I simply adore them! Everything was fresh and delicious! Our waitress was delightful, and she had perfect timing on everything. I of course will be back, we always come here when we are in town. But again, work on your hostess... read more

Go anywhere else! Please don't waste your gas parking hear. The experience ends the first bite of the grilled salmon blt it was greasy and tasteless less. The sandwich left a residual taste that couldn't be washed away with water. The lobster bisque was bland. I asked for ground pepper and received table salt and pepper. The bisque had great consistency it was tasteless. My! & The fries were browner than I prefer. My friend ordered the fried seafood platter her experience was the same she attempted to smother it with the lemon (it didn't work). She tried the tartar sauce with surprise, She showed it to me (and I can be like (uh yeah. But scrolling through messages.). when I looked up, I grimaced, "It looks like mayonnaise. " it had no dill pickles. So essentially it was only mayo because there are only real 4 ingredients, add lemon, sugar and onion if that's what your into. It was Mayo. Bad food from Black Owners. That's the thing I got up to verify. I went to ask the Bartender. But I ended up asking the table next to me. & why did I do that? Let's hear it from the GANG! All five tables had something to say. We said, the drink was good. One man's face was so tore up. U know how you look around just to see is it jus me. I pointed at my food and looked. The four of us agreed. There were two smiles, they had salad with blackened salmon. That where I my mistake I chose grilled. The mistake we didn't make was ABSOLUTELY DO NOT ORDER the MAC & cheese. By all accounts it is horrendous. NOT YOUR DATE. read more

The restaurant itself is a very nice fun social spot. TVs around the bar 360 and also additional large screens on the walls. Food....the wings were great! The blue cheese is lazy, yes lazy, it's a non blue cheese sauce with blue cheese crumbles. It's good but it's not blue cheese. The crab dip was subpar, not horrible but not memorable. Shrimp and Chicken Cajun Pasta. Man if it wasn't for the ambiance and the wings, they'd get zero stars. They gave me penne, blackened chicken, frozen frost bite tasting shrimp and heavy whipping cream doused with pepper. NO FLAVOR whatsoever! I was shocked, cause I I asked if it was creamy and flavorful. No Cajun flavor, no salt....so that's that. Would I return? Yes for the social scene and wings. That's it. read more

I forgot there was a good reason I hadn't been to Jaspers in probably 10 years. It's always the same issue for me which is why I stopped supporting: lack of decent, quality & informed staffing. For me, the food can be mediocre and the decor can be shabby. But good service will always put a business over the top. Came here last Friday for HH to meet a friend for drinks. Let's start with the fact that the greeting I recieved upon walking in was dry and unenthusiastic. Everyone standing at the front looked so miserable. Geez people, cheer up! Next infraction: the young man who took me to my table was dry and unenthusiastic as well (do you sense a pattern here?). No smile, no "how are you this evening?" He pretty much just threw the menus down and walked off before I could even say thank you. Nice job! Ok so the server wasn't too bad. She actually attempted to make small talk and was fairly attentive. But her infractions were not knowing what beer they had on tap and bringing me not one, but TWO martinis with a regular sized straw sticking out of them. Where they do that at? Next infraction: Just plain negligence. A table nearby spilled a glass of water on the floor that was heavily trafficked (I saw at least 10 people step in it). The table notified a server who was walking by and I assumed he went to get a mop. Never saw him again. I guess the water eventually evaporated. Jasper's better be glad that lawsuit waiting to happen, didn't. At some point you'd think a business would recognize their chronic problems but I guess not. And this is why I stopped coming. I don't plan to go flocking back any time soon but my friend actually enjoyed the appetizers (calamari & boneless wings trio) and the drinks were good (something fruity with rum in it). Plus the HH prices were decent. So I may have to eat my words and suffer through another visit but next time I'll be sure to check my expectations at the door. After all, it's only been a decade so what's another decade's worth of waiting for a good experience. *shrugs* read more

The food is really good. The atmosphere is also good. Customer service is hit or miss.

Jasper's Tiger thighs were a 10/10! I wanted to assault the waiter, and chef for not warning me about how good the damn thighs were. 5 stars, again 10/10. read more

I think the drinks are really good. I enjoy the appetizers - shrimp and crab dip and a flavored wing that I can't remember the name. Because of the items I like, I only prefer happy hour. However, the down side to happy hour is, if you sit in the bar, but away from the physical bar, it can take awhile to receive service initially. Another downside is that they only take $1 off of the regularly priced drinks and that's their Happy Hour.‍ read more

My husband and I visited during lunch and were initally impressed by how open it is, but that quickly changed. Our waiter was so.....dry and monotone, it was weird. I ordered the salmon and crab explosion and it was anything but. The name is super deceiving! It's just a piece of salmon and a crab cake with veggies. Soooo disappointing. The salmon was as bland as our waiter's personality LOL. Nothing was seasoned. The "crab cake" was the consistency of an undercooked biscuit. My husband ordered the jambalaya, which too wasnt seasoned and had a layer or oil on top of the sauce, so it probably was sitting out for a while. I had so many people recommend this place but it was a huge let down. Maybe my taste buds are too advanced for this place lol but I won't be back & won't recommend it to anyone. They most definitely need to invest in some Old Bay...... read more

Sooooo Good still.. came on Sunday around 2:15 brunch was ending at 2:30 so we walked right on in & sat down no wait. Only think that took a little while was my server to actually come to the table. Brunch smelled great even tho it was only open for about 30 more minutes after I got there. I wanted food from the menu tho. I got the Crab cake egg rolls appetizer !!! YOU HAVE TO GET THEM. Nice & crispy the spicy sauce on the side is a compliment. Then for my meal I got fried shrimp & tenders & fries it was soo good. The honey mustard is a hit that comes with it as well. My friend got the crab explosion & boneless tiger wings.. EVERYTHING was great... check them out. They always had good drinks.. im sure by the crowd at the bar they still are. Highly recommend.. also get the crab dip u wont be disappointed. Happy eating. read more

Jaspers is a lively venue for those who are single and enjoy strong beverages! I highly recommend the super dip which is crab and shrimp dip in one! Initially I had thoughts that this place was going to be decent... like the restaurants nearby Jasper's - Ruby Tuesdays or Outback- but turns out it might be one of the best in Landover. Pricey but worth the trip. Asian Salmon Teriyaki, Chicken Teriyaki, Chicken Fajitas, Mediterranean Pasta are all the dishes we've have tried here. Their honey wheat bread rolls are so good and to top that off, their homemade butter is TO DIE FOR! But save your tummy for your entree. Portions are big! Staff is pleasant and accommodating. Curb Side To Go is always a nice feature. Two negative things - dark parking lots with police patrolling most of the time and when ordering curb side to go, there is always quite a wait on the phone until someone takes your order. read more

I decided to drop by Jaspers with my son and grab a bite since they always have many options to choose from. We ordered the Tiger Shrimp which was delicious as always! Entrees we had the Blackened Salmon and the the Great American Grill that consisted of Sirloin steak, crab cake, and shrimp over peppers, onions, and veggies. I will say the Great American grill was just ok .... The crab cake was mushy. The steak was cooked the way I like it and the rest of the meal shrimp and veggies were ok! I wouldn't order that again as an entree. The Blackened Salmon was delicious!! The service was phenomenal as always to the host Stephen!! The ambiance was good as always and a lot of people were there for a Monday night! As always it was a good time visiting Jasper's! read more

Pretty good place to try. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The drinks were good. I tried the Bone Crusher and my friend had the After Party. We both ordered the Jasper's Crab Explosion. Great crab cake! More crab than cake which is always awesome for me. I would go back! read more

I've been here mostly for their buffet brunch and once for dinner. I prefer the brunch here as they have a huge variety at their buffet.. It's a good mixture between really good breakfast items (waffles, eggs, bacon) and good soul food choices (fish, chicken, greens).. The dinner menu is mostly soul food, which is fine by me, and everything that was delivered to our table (except the Mac and cheese) was delicious! The only reason I'm deducting any stars at all is because the service at brunch leaves a bit to be desired.. The wait staff is usually non existent since everything is self serve but trying to get a refill on your drink takes forever!! I once even had a waitress loose half of the payment for our bill and tried to say we didn't give it to her, I'm not even sure how they get so frazzled when they are literally doing nothing! read more

Got food poisoning here last year the day before New Year's eve and was sick to my damn stomach for the holiday. I was this close to going to the hospital but frankly I didn't have the energy to even dress myself after puking my insides out for 18 hours straight.
