The photo doesn't do the burger justice. It was juicy, flavorful, and filled with great taste. My only suggestion would be to lightly toast the bun, as it was served a bit cool. Our server, LB, was fantastic! He was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout the meal. Even though the restaurant was busy during the lunch rush, the atmosphere was comfortable enough to enjoy a conversation with my colleagues without feeling rushed. Overall, a very enjoyable experience, and I'd definitely come back.

We rolled up during happy hour and the bar was already three deep with concert goers, professionals still in their work clothes, and a few locals holding their usual spots. There were no open tables in sight but that didn't matter. We found our corner of the bar fast, and honestly, that ended up being the best seat in the house. A band played soft in the background. Servers moved through in outfits that said upscale, not sports bar. The whole room had that pre-show buzz, dressed up but not stiff. We blended in well. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip on a local's recommendation. It came with warm chips, sour cream, and a house made salsa that quietly stole the entire appetizer. I wanted a bowl of just the salsa. Our server, who clearly knew the menu inside and out, sold us on the smoked salmon, and we added a side of bacon mac and cheese along with the cornbread. The salmon looked right, cooked medium with real smoke on it, but the smoke won the fight against the fish. Mushy inside, more fishy than smoky should allow. The sauce didn't rescue it either. Sautéed spinach on the side needed salt, plain and simple. Then the cornbread and mac and cheese showed up and reminded us why we came. Rich, comforting, with the kind of flavor that makes you forget the salmon happened. When I'm back, I'm ordering both of those twice and calling it a meal. Drinks were the real win. A Saratoga sparkling water kept things clean between bites, and the Peartini was one of the better cocktails I've had in a while, balanced, not too sweet, actually worth the price. The seat beside us turned over twice during the meal, first someone who went to the concert a few days earlier and wanted to talk about it, then someone else who slid in for a quick drink while waiting on their table. Both ended up in easy conversation with us, no forcing it. That's the part I keep thinking about, not the salmon. Copper Canyon got the room right, the drinks, the starters, the easy conversation with strangers. Some nights the food is the headline. This one, it was the people and the vibes, making it a great after-work or pregame pitstop, and that's always worth gathering for.

Our waitress, Lydia, exhibit attentive and efficient service the entire night. She helped us with the menu, checked on us throughout the night, and refilled our drinks. She did this while serving the entire place. I would describe the service as empathetic and refreshing. Food: The wings here are really good. They are sizable and they don't hold back on the sauce. The skin is crispy and the wings are properly seasoned and cooked. We also got the burger. It was good, but slightly over cooked from the "medium" I requested. The pizza was very good and cheesey. It almost tasted homemade (in a good way). I'd get it again. Ambiance: It's a local bar with plenty of TVs to enjoy the game. It's a bar crowd, so expect some yelling and music, which fits the atmosphere. I like the decor, and the place smelled clean. I'd definitely come here to watch the game and have some wings.

It's tucked away in an industrial area off Route 50, and unless you're looking for it, you'd probably never know it was there. We had a party of 12, and almost everyone in our group was visually impaired, including my mom. Dining out with a group like ours can sometimes be challenging, but the staff did a really nice job. As the only one at the table with 20/20 vision, I can honestly say they took the time to explain the menu, answer questions about the food and drinks, announce themselves when they approached the table, and help everyone through the payment process. Those extra touches meant a lot and made everyone feel comfortable. I ordered the wings and a drink, and my mom had wings, a salad, and a drink. Everything was fresh, the wings were cooked well, the drinks were good, and the portions were generous for the price. The restaurant itself has a cozy, laid-back neighborhood feel. It isn't a fancy place, but it's clean, comfortable, and somewhere I'd happily come back to. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because of the service at the end of our meal. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, but apparently his shift ended as soon as he took our orders. The manager and bartender stepped in and did the best they could, but with a large group that was mostly visually impaired, it made things a little more confusing than they needed to be, especially when it came time to sort out everyone's food and separate checks. No one was rude, and they worked hard to make it right, but I think management could have handled that transition a little better. Overall, I had a great experience. The food was good, the prices were reasonable, and I really appreciated how welcoming the staff was to our group. I'd definitely come back, and I'd recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area.

One thing that threw me off was on the menu for the pasta listed at $23 and it says you can choose from shrimp or chicken or do both, no where on the menu does it indicates it's a up charge for choosing both so my pasta came up to $30. When I arrived the young lady spoke (I believe her name is India) but throughout the experience of ordering, she gave the impression that she didn't want to be there and somewhat nonchalant. It didn't bother me much but for someone who is keen and/or a food critic/reviewer on customer service, she wouldn't have received a good review on that. Unfortunately, I didn't get many pictures because the food wasn't worth it. My order: One Love Chicken Rasta Pasta - This was seasoned well and not too spicy. However, extremely oily and due to that, very messy. It tasted like sugar was put it in as well. Honestly, if it wasn't so oily then it would've been much better. It was 7.6/10 Mac & Smack - This had a nice texture and consistency but again extremely oily & they went too heavy on the garlic. They possibly used parmesan cheese as one of the cheeses, I'm not sure but I have noticed that their noodle dishes have strong herb taste. It was a 7/10 Peach Cobbler - This was not it. I don't want to say that it didn't have potential but the "crust" tasted like hard dough that was over baked or very under baked. This was $12 and definitely wasn't worth it. It was a 0/10 Chosen Sweet Potato Pie - Mini - This was the best desert they have and I regret not getting the full size pie. This was perfect & honestly, I'd probably only go back for this. It was a 10/10 Spicy Peach Wilburn Wings (6) - I didn't care for the flavor. Reminded me of wings dipped in peach flavored liquor. However, my boyfriend liked them and he gave them a 7.7/10 Bang Bang Shrimp - Flavored well. Not too spicy and a good size. They can make them a little more crispy but very good overall. It was a 9/10 Steak & Cheese Egg Rolls - Probably my favorite dish in this whole order. Pricing could be better because I thought they were bigger but very good. It was a 10/10 Strawberry Shortcake - This tasted store bought but not the better quality store bought. Regretted getting this. It was a 6/10 Overall, this place gets a 7/10. Prices are a little high for the quality. They need improvements on the dishes & have potential to be much better but the food isn't nasty. If we go back, it will only be for the steak & cheese egg rolls, sweet potato pie and wings

She was a ray of sunshine and gave us help in deciding on menu items. We both ordered salads. I ordered the crab and shrimp Louis salad. And, my friend ordered a chicken salad. Our salads were huge, fresh, and delicious. I really liked the fresh veggies and poached shrimp. I also liked the surprise sprinkle of Old Bay on my seafood. I wasn't a fan of the crabmeat. The dressing was delicious too. My friend liked her chicken salad. She did say her chicken was a little dry. But, she loved all of the fresh veggies and ended up taking the leftovers home. I also ordered the Oreo cheesecake which was delicious. I mean come on now, you combine Oreo's and cheesecake, that is a winning combination and the whipped cream was amazing. The restaurant itself was bright, colorful, and full of sea themed decor. The booth was comfortable and you get 3 hours of free parking in the garage. Again, thanks Fatima for your excellent service. We will definitely be back.

Yellow Bun & Chocolate Kitchen: Our Father-Daughter Quest for Burger Greatness…read more My daughter and I were back on our mission to find the best burger spots in the DMV. This time, we chose Yellow Bun & Chocolate Kitchen, mostly because their food pictures had us ready to risk our budgets and our diets. When we walked in, the menu surprised both of us. It was huge -- burgers, grilled cheeses, ice cream, cupcakes, cakes in bottles. My eyes immediately locked onto the desserts like they owed me money. I was so distracted by the sweets that my daughter had to take charge of the ordering. She knows how I get around sugar. After a few rounds of debate, we finally settled on: Lamb Burger Seafood Grilled Cheese Oreo Cookie Cupcake Snickerdoodle Cupcake Strawberry Shortcake While we were placing the order, I started talking to Naimah (hoping I spelled that right). I asked her if the food was good, and she hit me with a confident, energetic "YES." I told her if it wasn't, I'd be talking about her -- and she laughed like she knew she was safe. I could see the women in the kitchen working in their uniforms, focused and moving with purpose. That always gives me hope. Good food usually comes from people who look like they care. After a short wait, our food came out packed to go, but even through the containers, the aroma was strong enough to make us both hungry all over again. Everything passed the eye test -- visually perfect. We split both sandwiches. The Lamb Burger went first... and wow. It was beyond outstanding. I was blown away. My daughter isn't a lamb lover at all, but even she admitted it was really good -- which tells you how strong that burger was. This was clearly a homemade lamb patty -- juicy, seasoned, and paired with feta like it was meant to be. My mouth is watering again just thinking about it. Hands down the juiciest lamb burger I've ever had. Next was the Seafood Grilled Cheese. It was good, but something was missing. We added the sauce, which helped, but it still needed a little something to make it great. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The crab was lump, but it didn't stand out. My daughter said it needed a tomato to balance the flavors -- and honestly, she was right. A tomato might be the missing piece. Then came my favorite part: dessert. The Strawberry Shortcake was great, but I needed more whipped cream. That's just who I am. The cupcakes, though? Outstanding. Moist cake, melt‑in‑your‑mouth texture, frosting that complimented instead of overpowering. They were the kind of cupcakes that make you close your eyes for a second. We'll definitely be back to Yellow Bun & Chocolate Kitchen to try more things. And yes -- Naimah is safe. I don't need to name‑drop her in shame.

But, I walked in and found that they actually have an array of savory items as well. First things first, it's carryout so no place to dine. But the service is awesome. I've been a few times and have gotten a different person every time and they have all been really helpful and kind. I met the owner the first time who recommended the Turkey Club as it's one of their headlining items and remarked that they serve all day breakfast as well. After trying a few items, I can say that they rarely miss. My favorites are: *Yellow Cupcake with Chocolate Icing. Pretty simple but it's my favorite type of cupcake and it never disappoints. *Brioche Bacon, Egg and Cheese. The eggs were fluffy, the sandwich was flavorful and filling. I've a had a few from different places and this is at the top for me. *Turkey Club. I have no complaints about this one. I've ordered it a few times and enjoyed it every time. It doesn't come with a side but you really don't need it. All in all, I'm a repeat customer so I order from them from time to time and have recommended them as well.

Going on a Friday night I just knew it would be packed, but surprisingly it was easy to get a spot at a table near the bar. The wait for a table in the main restaurant was running about 40 mins, but would have risked not being seated before the kitchen closed. Despite the bar being busy, we were greeted and served pretty quickly. The DC tap water is my go to drink and you definitely get your moneys worth. My husband ordered the hurricane and was very satisfied with the amount of liquor he could actually taste. For meals I had to get the tiger wings. I love that sauce so much and wish they sold the sauce by itself. Also got a side of the greens which were tasty and not overcooked, I just feel like the flavor is something I would get tired of after a while. My husband ordered the jambalaya and it was also good. The wait was 1.5 hours (added our names remotely) but upon arrival there seemed to be confusion. A server never came to take drink orders or provide silverware. We even got our first plates with nothing then had to ask the manager. She had someone come by but it was strange for such a busy day to forget us or not have assigned servers. Overall, the food was inconsistent. Some things were bland and others seasoned very well. The turkey sausage was mid and grits had no flavor - cheese grits at that. Maybe ordering off the menu will fair better. Great value for the price!
