Ooh la la! This place can be a hit or miss from what I hear. I visited Jasper's recently on 10-9-17. Before my visit I hadn't been to Jasper's in over 5 years but I'm glad I went ahead to try it out again. When my babe and I walked in we were greeted and only waited a few seconds before being escorted to our seat. Once seated we notice a lot of people around the bar area and many tables with drinks so of course I assumed it's happy hour. Our waiter came within 7 minutes and she was super nice in explaining the happy hour menu and answering any questions we had. We started with appetizers that consisted of fried calamari and their crab and shrimp dip (see pics it's to die for) I absolutely LOVE the crab/shrimp dip. For our main meals we both ordered the spicy seafood explosion with a side of collard greens and that was amazingly tasty and filling. Overall I would definitely recommend this place for dinner and even their happy hour. During their happy hour they offer premium drinks at reasonable discounted pricing along with discounted appetizers...you can't go wrong with that :-) I will definitely be back soon. read more

It's a good happy hour spot, not a huge fan of getting a full meal here. Pricing is high and the food quality doesn't match imo. Also not a fan of them not advertising drink pricing, im aware it's fluid but even the servers don't know, so you have to wait until the check comes. read more

Apparently I'm old because I had no idea the BET Soundstage was now Jasper's. The vibe is chill, the drinks are decent, depending on the bartender and the food is good. This review is based on 2 visits, so govern yourselves. The first visit, I ordered a steak and it was cooked to perfection. It was slightly over seasoned, but that was remedied by my drink. The crab dip is also pretty good, it comes with bread AND chips. That's a blessing! My second visit was just to waste time so it was drinks only. My first drink was a hurricane. It was a little weak to me, but others thought it was too strong or pretty good. My next drink was the Darth And that was grape, very grape. I'm not sure if there was any alcohol in it. Crab dip was ordered again, as was spinach dip. The service is "ok" we didn't require much and did not need the server around. I'll go back, once they make A REAL happy hour. One dollar off the drinks isn't happy hour. It's actually a sad hour. Do better. read more

Good food and good drinks. I've been several times and each time I went I've enjoyed myself.

I went to Jasper's for the first time about a month or so ago. I have been back since, with plans to visit again. The drinks were strong and the food was pretty good. This establishment is always packed. I had trouble parking the first time around. Be sure to get here early to find a parking spot and a seat at the bar! Also, the bartenders are super busy so be prepared to wait a while, especially during happy hour. read more

This place was packed! Rightfully so, it was the weekend and the food was great. I didn't get the chance to take a picture (I wish I did) and didn't spend much time here since we had a movie to catch. We will definitely come back! The service was good, and the food was amazing! I had apple and walnut cobbler with chicken tenders and an Arnold palmer. Each one was Delicious, had to water down arnold palmer though, it was too sweet. Like I said, will be back for the entrees! It all sounded amazing. read more

I ordered the tiger wings and old bay wings curbside. They were delicious! The curbside attendant came to greet me and check on my order seconds after I pulled up. They are definitely doing it right at Jasper's. Thank you and keep up the good work. I will continue to be a return customer. read more

Went to Jaspers on Thursday and had food and drinks. Went outside only to find out my car was broken into window smashed, tire flatten. Police was already on the scene as if they knew what was going on. I spent a lot of money in this restaurant only to have to spend more after. It's really a shame that people can't go out get a celebration meal. This was very low down and disgusting. Taking my belongings that had no value other that my Eyeglasses is sickening. Lay off the drugs and get a job. I will never return. read more

I'm trying to support the black businesses in my neighborhood. Me and a friend go here at exactly 4 pm. Happy hour starts. We sit at the bar area for 10 mins. No one comes. Then we go to the desk to get a regular table and the tell us 30 mins and no one is in the damn place. Then tell us to sit at the bar table. We were just sitting there for 10 mins. Staff is horrible. read more

I went here for the first time last weekend and would not say this is a must try. I ordered the Bone Crusher drink, it was a tad sweet and not bad overall, and the chicken tenders which has no flavor and I relied heavily on the honey mustard for taste. One thing I would say that was nice is the pricing of drinks as it was under $10 and not during happy hour. read more

And another one! My absolute favorite spot, lots of eating space, drinks are awesome, food is always hot and slamming whether take out or eating in. I only dislike that it seems a lot of fights and shootings break out here and I see the police sitting outside in their vehicles all the time. read more

Food is good as usual but Kurt was our server and he did a great job. Great customer service.

The food was okay and my waiter displayed exceptional customer service skills. This specific 'Jaspers- Largo, MD' is a great restaurant for families, work gatherings, dates, etc. I like it! read more

I wish I could give a negative 10000 stars!!!!! Just look at the pictures! These are worth 1000 negative stars! I asked for something I get all the time as an avid customer. I frequent the restaurant multiple times a week faithfully due to the location of my friends and this being a great meeting point! But this time after speaking to 2 managers this is what the kitchen decided to serve me! Yes those are red seeded peppers they decided to dump the whole container in my food! Yup I ate it! But not because it was good but to post this review of how rude and incompetent and Petty people can be with you food! I pray that who ever was in the kitchen on Sat 4/27/19 at 9:47 pm that served this out of the kitchen gets fired!!!! This is disrespectful and I pray that Jaspers owners see this. I did not order a plate full of sauce and seeded peppers, but this is what you will get if you decide to order something they don't want to make!!! read more

Bad service. Came with my son for a seafood dinner. Ordered 1 glass of draft beer but got denied from server because of my DL "expired" - i showed old ID + temporary extention paper from dmv confirming that DL is actual and i am waiting my new ID by mail. It is good for police but not good for manager. So stupid! They need to verify my age and it is 37. They found problem where it doesn't exist. Come on! Don't wanna continue my dinner here. read more

I haven't been to jaspers since my high school graduation, my girlfriends and I decided to visit there for happy hour. I was not disappointed. The atmosphere is very relaxed, social distancing was absolutely in place ( I love the fact that they actually blocked off every other sitting area). The drinks were delicious, food was amazing and the prices were not bad either. The servers were very pleasant too. I will definitely go back there again. read more

I always enjoy the HH menu at jaspers. My recent visit did not disappoint. The place was packed with people looking for a lil holiday cheer.

Always a good time good food and bomb bartenders. I love the brunch they have on Sundays and the ppl are nice and friendly

Excellent menu selection, great relaxing atmosphere. Food was delicious and well prepared. Service was fast, friendly. 5star

I mostly come to jaspers for their drinks and end up eating while I'm here. The crab cocktail is really good and I love their wings. I haven't explored the menu too much. The service could be a little more consistent but depending on who you get, you'll be well taken care of. read more

Well done folks!!! The blackened seafood was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Thank you for allowing me to switch potatoes to rice. The sauce and vegetable flavors are on point and the sticky jasmine rice soaked up every bit of flavor. I typically don't write reviews, but I was amazed at the quality of the dish. read more

I've been coming to jaspers forever even before the pandemic we have used this restaurant to have birthday gatherings and celebrations and just to come to happy hour because it's a great restaurant. Yesterday, Friday night we were celebrating my brother-in-law's birthday and had a very large party. unfortunately jaspers is not taking reservations no matter the size of the party. So we arrived early around 7 o'clock and was told there would be a 2 to 3 hour wait. That's fine we decided to wait and informed our party that there was a lengthy wait time. As we were waiting we noticed that there was an open space that looked to be prepared for 30 people and received a text stating that our space was ready as long as we had 90% of the party there within 20 minutes of being placed on the waiting list. Overall I must say the manager (Veronica) worked with my group very well trying to accommodate our group as much as she could. The issue we were running into was that the host wanted 27 out of 30 people to be there before they seated us at the table. Understood that restaurants have policies in place but in the situation I felt it was a little odd that you wanted that many people just sitting in your lobby when they're table is readily available that they can sit down and start to get things going. Moving on the manager did allow the 20 of us that were there to go ahead and get seated. Now this is when the fun stuff starts. We had one table of all black men that placed their orders with the server and went outside. again it's a celebration so there are taking pictures, smoking cigars and enjoying themselves. While the men were outside The manager informed my sister that they weren't comfortable with the table being empty and the orders being placed so they needed a credit card on file. No problem! We gave them a card and when the gentleman came back 15 minutes later we were informed that the server canceled the table orders. Of course at this point we feel as though the gentlemen had been discriminated against due to the simple fact that we still had three other tables that were filled we had a total of four tables and nobody else's food was canceled and again we placed the card on file for that table. Of course I can say the gentleman did not handle the situation the right way and were very upset and walked out of the restaurant after expressing their feelings about the way they were treated. Unfortunately, The server Brittany, I don't feel as though she handled the situation as professional as it should have been and honestly could have just left the orders in or immediately when she noticed they sat back down had their orders expedited back into the system so that they could get their food and eat. This issue really started a lot of confusion and a lot of disappointment from my group with jaspers. Because there was no reason for the orders to be canceled. Throughout the rest of the evening our group felt a little uncomfortable as though we were being watched by management/security and the server comments that she were made towards our group were very unprofessional inappropriate not to mention her attitude throughout the rest of our visit. Due to the Veronica's professional attitude, accommodations, and reasoning I will continue to visit jaspers but was very disappointed with this recent visit. Tip for management- going back to reserving tables with a credit card and deposit could save you guys so much headache. I hope that one day large groups will not have to go through all my family and friends went through. read more

Came to Jasper's for a second time two days ago because the first time was a great experience. Unfortunately, the second time killed it for me. So I was seated (along with my guests) at a booth near the bar. We had a nice server who turned into a pushy server towards the end. When we got our food she told us the manager told her to cash us out because her shift was over (she was from the AM shift). She told us the PM server in that section would take care of us and she would send her immediately. As I've worked in the restaurant industry, I know this is false. If a manager really told her to do that, then he needs to be terminated immediately. If she lied to us just to leave and get her tip, then she needs serious coaching and counseling, maybe termination as well if this is the service she practices often. We cashed out... 48 mins later; NO NEW SERVER EVER CAME! I asked a server if we had a server and she said she would get her for us. As our new server came, we could tell her from her facial expression and body language that she was unhappy and not trying to serve us. We explained to her the situation and she threw Venus (the prior server) under the bus. She told us she would get to us when she could because she had a large party to take care of and she was busy. I immediately asked for a manager. The manager came and could care less what my guests or I had to say. After asking for his name, he laughed and said, "no need for that, I will make sure you all get taken care of right now!" And walked away. WOW!!!!! I'm still shocker that a manager would treat guests in that way. The same server came back with a bad attitude and we left right after that. Jaspers, good cheap food and drinks, but your service needs help! It's disappointing that customer service is hard to find nowadays. read more

I had a Delightful meal everything was hot and fresh. I ate at the bar and the bartender was very attentive and kind. There was plenty of parking and the decor and music was tasteful. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star was for the Police Officer on duty that initial meeting inside was flirtatious but light and fun. But as I was leaving he proceeded to comment on my shape and asked if I was a Stripper and when I stated no he then wanted to ask me the 3rd degree like I was lying even to the fact he said with a body like that. I replied that I'm a Salon Owner and have a child in High School and not every women with a body is a stripper. Now I had on shorts and a Blazer and to say that in front of other Officers in Uniform was just tacky read more

The drinks were pretty decent, nothing crazy. The food I wanted it to be better. I thought the onions, peppers etc was an overload in my meal. I had the Cajun Jambalaya with the sticky rice. Went here for dinner with a group of family. Great place for dinner. This used to be the BET Soundstage and the bones of that design are still here so the ambiance is great, they've got good seating options and the service was perfect. White we waited, or server provided hot bread buns to the table, soft and super-fresh right out of the oven, served with sweet butter. The baked crabcake I had was really good: tasty, flavorful and super-filling! They overcooked the shrimp by a few minutes, but everything was well-seasoned and hot. Price was about right for what we got. Great experience here. We'll be back! read more

Attended jaspers on 4/20 and was greeted by a young lady that was short with two cornrows. She wasn't attentive at all. She helped a guest with a crossword puzzle the entire night. I quickly asked for help from another bartender which was a new young man. I later on asked his name because he was so respectful. I had a pleasure working with Mike and i can't wait to come see him again. I guess i wasn't a regular and didn't have a cash app tip for her like her crossword puzzle customer. So my sister in law took me here for happy hour. The atmosphere is nice. She is part of a group that were also at Jasper's. I also had the parrot bay mango martini and that was pretty good. Drinks are a dollar off from 4pm till closing, except for Friday.
