Was hoping to LOVE this place more than I did but it was a bit underwhelming. The happy hour was nice, even though we had to have the bill corrected when some of the drinks weren't discounted. Tried all four happy hour apps. The beet dip was the favorite with really good bread. The popcorn was unmemorable and stale tasting. Burger was fine, although initially the bacon I ordered was not included on it, but quickly corrected after I let them know. While the "crushed baby potatoes" were good, I don't usually think of that type of potato with a burger. Fries... chips... maybe. This is also one of the very few places I've been to (and I eat out a lot in DFW at all price points) that charges the customer an additional tax on liquor over and above the typical 8.25%. I understand that in Texas there are additional alcohol taxes that many (if not most?) restaurants include in their menu prices, but in this case it ended up being over 15% tax on liquor. The explanation was "it's how the POS system does it and we have no control over that". Personally I don't know if that's actually the case and why other POS systems don't require that, but as a customer, just know that your drink prices will be higher than you might expect based on other restaurants. I enjoyed my visit here at James Provisions, the space was clean and quaint. They have both indoor and outdoor space to choose from, which is nice. When we walked in we walked up to someone behind the counter and they provided us with menus and advised us where to sit. Our server was friendly and checked in consistently. The food was good, my burger tasted very fresh! When I took the first bite I could immediately tell the difference, which I did love. The potatoes that it came with were good as well. The tacos my friend got looked yummy and like a decent portion size, the drinks were good and perfectly balanced. The popcorn was absolutely delicious and totally something I would never think to try, but happy that I did! All in all, it's a yes from me - I'd go back again just for the popcorn. I was greeted warmly by chandler at the register and shared it was my first time in. He took the time to highlight some of the menu items and we had a great chat! The space is bright and airy and we sat on the adjacent patio on a nice warm night. By the time we ordered there was a line but it moved quickly. I loved my chicken and arugula salad and it had a spice kick to it! We also enjoyed the BLT and got the crushed potatoes on the side. My new favorite place to eat for lunch and Dinner in the HEB area. For starters the service and the people are chill, authentic, and all look like they love what they do. From the relaxed and modern environment, the local flowers on the tables, to the simple healthy dishes, I love it all. I love how they let food just be food.....natural and not heavily salted or over powered with sauces or salt. Some of my favorites: Crispy chickpeas - 5/5 I love the crunch and how filling they are Smoked Carrot soup - 5/5 the flavor will surprise you in a good way. It almost tastes like meat or chili. Forbidden Rice - 5/5 served cool and has just the right amount of flavor Shrimp and creamy polenta - 4.5/5 delicious creamy and you get a bunch of polenta Fallen chocolate cake - 4.5/5 light and melty like a chocolate mouse with a bit of firmness that melts in your mouth. I am so glad I heard about the opening to this beautiful farm to table restaurant. It is a fast casual concept, so you order at the counter and they bring you the food. I was stunned to see how fast the food came out. Everything we ordered was delicious. This food is clean. We had the beet dip, which I highly recommend. We then had the burger, salmon tacos and the chicken. I would order all of them again. We also tried all three desserts which were a hit, especially the cookie. We ordered dessert at the table later in the meal, so no worries about ordering all at once. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the space is beautifully designed, even down to the bathrooms. There is even an outside patio. I'm happy to give this establishment a five star review. Everything about this place is perfection! I felt like I was walking into a well-appointed restaurant in New York or LA... the staff is so welcoming and it's got the perfect breezy Interior and decor that makes you want to stick around for hours. I honestly felt transported coming here for dinner tonight. The food was so good (grilled cheese..YUM) and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. It's so hard to find a unique, elevated meal like this in North Texas. My friend and I loved the drinks, they are creative and not overly sweet....and the iced mint tea with fresh mint is addictive! It's the perfect place for a meal/drinks with your girls, date night, family get together, birthday brunch, etc. The people that work here are so friendly, it was like dining with old friends! At first entry I was not expecting to see a bunch of houseplants everywhere. That screams bugs and no see-ums so we will get back to that, but the welcoming was nice and since we were new we went to sit and review the menu as suggested. Water brought to us. The menu is short and sweet with some different spices compared to the local area. We ordered the burgers and tea. Counter ordering. So Mooyah burger came to mind... so, with the pricing you cannot have your patrons order at a counter. Not classy at all!! In fact it's as if this place cannot decide to be fancy or to be very casual. Why not let your patrons sit down and come take our order??? They bring out the food to us anyway. They check on our table anyway. Why on earth do we have to order at a counter like in a fast food place?? Food: Burgers were well cooked to proper temperature. No seasoning though! ugh how can this be??!! Not even a pinch of salt!!!! You HAVE to season the meat!!!! You cannot add flavor by adding crispy apple, which was good, but seasoning has to be in the actual meat as it is being cooked!!! Potatoes were "new potatoes" with the purple skins, seasoning was subtle. Clerk lady couldn't just say new potatoes she said mashed but not really mashed. I would have liked an offer of melted butter to make them palatable. After eating a few potatoes they start to get dry in your palate. Soooo nope, ketchup is not an option for this side!! In fact it ruins the flavor it has already going. Butter or olive oil would be a great compliment for the style they are trying to achieve. The buns were good, buttered and toasted. Tea: You can't serve flavored tea in Texas without telling us!!!! This tea had some kind of flavor that NO TEXAN will appreciate. You have to have an equivalent of Lipton tea for this local audience!!! Tea is a staple of Texas and this was far from it! It was pretty obvious I didn't like it when I had a few sips and guzzled my water down!! The server who checked on us didn't ask but I just stuck with water. Overall: Mediocre Price: Too expensive for this area and this place will die soon. Get rid of the plants, you do not have to advertise you are vegan friendly by hosting plants throughout the place. One other place in Euless that has plants everywhere is Burger Box near HWY 10, which is disgusting. The tie-in with house plants and food screams health department complaint!! 10 out of 10!! It's a real struggle trying to find somewhere to eat when you want to avoid seed oils, let alone GOOD places and this one is it! We even just did take-out and it still held up wonderfully! The autumn burger was so delicious and cooked perfectly (also bonus points that they use grass-fed beef)! The flatbread was just an explosion of flavor!! I didn't think a flatbread with arugula and a cassava crust would be much to write home about, but I'm so glad I was wrong! SO GOOD. The turmeric cauliflower side was also amazing and had an almost "roasted-over-a-campfire" taste to it which, personally, I loved. First it starts with ambiance. While not fancy - it feels like a place full of friends. Then you notice the service. Always there, never noticed. Well done. Then, then comes the food. What a joy! Remarkably unremarkable, except for the ridiculously high prices. The service is a bright spot. Though ordering at a counter is a bit lowbrow, the staff was informative and engaging. Make sure to print the receipt. We ordered a dessert that we realized wasn't entered and weren't charged. It ultimately wasn't a big deal and was quickly resolved at the table. One glaring pet peeve when ordering at a counter is the tip calculation. I DON'T like to tip in advance of services rendered. But unless you brought cash, you're stuck selecting an amount at checkout.  Now, about the food. I'm sorry to say this, but we were disappointed. Given the price point and the small portion sizes, there isn't value here. An argument might be made that we chose the wrong entrees and thus weren't impressed. The salmon taco dish and the hamburger might have saved the experience; they get rave reviews. Shouldn't our selections have been equally awesome? Here are our specific opinions of the foods we ordered. The tea glasses are ridiculously tiny. The tea is an herbal blend, not standard black tea. If that's not your preference, stick with the water they bring to each table. There are alcoholic beverages offered, and many looked excellent, but tonight, we didn't order any.  The Crispy Chickpeas came highly recommended. They are flavored with rosemary and black salt. We found them bland, and they literally suck the moisture right out of your mouth, which, incidentally, brings us back to those tiny tea glasses. Not very ideal! We also thought the chickpeas were so lightly seasoned that you want to try to fix it. We added more salt, to no avail. We even added lemon to introduce some acidity to offset the tannins in the peas, but nothing helped.  Online reviews raved about the smoked carrot soup, but it left us wondering what happened to the carrots. Some patrons love this soup with its smoky, herbaceous tones. We were not impressed. If I were participating in a blind tasting, I wouldn't have guessed I was eating carrot soup. The other ingredients may be overpowering the base. We're still determining what the chef was going for with this soup. We also noticed the heavy-handed use of olive oil. There's an appropriate balance required to enhance a soup, but when the soup glides off the spoon instead of lightly coating it, too much oil is present. With our bowl of soup, there was way too much olive oil. We've had plenty of exciting soups and sometimes are pleasantly surprised, but not this time.  We ordered two entrées. The first was the All Day Eggs, with two crispy eggs, whipped ricotta, baby potatoes, bitter greens, and olive gremolata. The "bitter greens" are arugula. I guess it's not artsy enough to say "arugula." There's absolutely nothing wrong with this dish. Fortunately, we can eat this dish at any breakfast restaurant. The second dish we purchased was the Roasted Chicken Breast with fennel, radicchio + celery salad, herbs, and natural jus. The chicken is a young chicken, breast with wing, which accounts for its tiny size. There didn't seem to be any culinary genius behind an unseasoned, oven-baked piece of chicken with a dash of paprika added before serving for color. Sadly, I don't have anything good to say about it, and I certainly don't recommend it unless you're on a bland diet.  For dessert, we ordered the Fallen Chocolate Cake. Creativity named, it's a tiny pie wedge slice, more like a brownie, but is a simple flourless chocolate cake. If you like that, go for it. Again, the portion size is tiny, which is the recurring theme of the restaurant.  The ambiance is trendy and, quite frankly, the best part of our visit. The main dining area is smartly decorated and well-lit. Though you could bring kids, it's probably best not to bring them. There is a nice-sized patio for outside dining. A dog was accompanying one group, so the restaurant appears to be pet-friendly. The bathroom was smartly decorated and clean. We noticed some metal chairs at some of the tables. We have sat in these chairs at other places and found them uncomfortable. The noise level was not an issue during our visit.  Our bottom line is that no matter the arguments a chef may make to justify exorbitant prices for minuscule portions, the meal sizes will disappoint. Lofty, artistic descriptions of food are a poor substitute for flavor, so our praises are very muted. read more

Spring burger was delicious! Me and my dad got the same burger, and my mom got a burger as well. My mom's was a classic burger that she got with a side of their spicy aioli sauce which she said complemented it really well. All so good. The burger wasn't greasy either, it was juicy and flavorful with every bite. I love pesto so I was delighted to know it had it and the pickled red onions. Love the radishes in the side greens as well. I look forward to trying the favorite bowl next and other foods on the menu as well. This is one of the hand few of restaurants that sells all natural, nutritious, grass fed, and good quality foods, we love it. I look forward to trying their coffee and deserts as well! Service was great too, our waiter told us that the brioche buns they get from a French bakery not too far from the restaurant, and that the baker sounded like the guy from beauty and the beast, which was hilarious . It definitely tasted fresh, and brioche is not even my favorite bread but the one I had from here was really good. Finally, the ambiance was real nice. I love how well the tables were spaced out so you felt like you had your own space. I also loved the clean and open area with plants. Loved the old vintage looking American flag on the wall as well! Discovered this place from a Facebook group shortly after it opened and it was a great experience! We went for dinner on a weekend and it wasn't that busy - likely because they had only been open for a few weeks. The employees were very nice & helpful in guiding us through their menu and what makes them different. LOVE their value for quality and clean ingredients. We ordered the popcorn as an appetizer which was fun & unique, very good. Me and my husband split the Butcher's Steak and Spring Burger. The steak was great - small portion for the cost however. The burger was good but not as great as the burger. I personally didn't love the pesto mix on it but that's just a personal preference. We don't live close so we haven't been back but I think about it often & want to try again now that they've been open longer! read more

She bring the NYC flavor with exceptional care for detail. Her big smile hides her determination to serve food that is Healthy with Quality. Stopped in yesterday at James Provisions not knowing what to expect, other than hearing a good review from friends. Hubs and I had the Classic Burger with the potatoes, and was happily surprised at how great they both were. Loved, loved them, and am happy to say that we will definitely be back again. The staff were very friendly and spot on with the service. The atmosphere was casual and relaxing. We highly recommend that you try them if you haven't already. We had burgers since it was Monday Burger Night and they're on sale in Monday's. My husband didn't like that they didn't put tomatoes and onions on the burgers but they were good! Comes with roasted potatoes or fresh greens. This place specializes in Seed FREE oils. They only use the oils that our bodies can properly digest (butter, coconut and Olive oils). We were a group of six on a Friday night, March 15th, 2024 and had seen the promotions for James Provisions on Facebook. Our group ordered the pickled appetizer and fried chickpeas. Entrees were BLT, the Favorite Bowl, two classic burgers and two shrimp with polenta. The food is ordered at the counter and then delivered to the tables. The wait time will be for a restaurant and not a fast food place. The food was AMAZING! I highly recommend the pickled appetizer - the radishes and jalapeños were my personal favorite. The friend who ordered the Favorite Bowl said that she too loved the radishes that were in the dish and that she will order it again next time. The classic burgers were served with condiments on the side on a brioche bun with deliciously brown potatoes that were crispy on the outside and smooth soft on the inside. And for me... the STAR of the evening was that amazing Shrimp & Polenta with harissa. It was heavenly - and after the appetizers - I was only able to finish half of the entree. Finally! Extremely clean eating and keto friendly, they use top notch ingredients that are sourced locally and organically. Everything on the menu is delicious. This place beats out Origin, True Food, Righteous Foods, Flower Child, etc. The best part is you don't have to just eat super clean, they have something for pretty much anyone. I'd put them at the top: Local Foods in Ft. Worth 2nd. Also, with how good this food is, naturally their restaurant is extremely clean and the staff is very kind - can't say enough!
