A friend from Indiana was in town for recurrent training at D/FW Airport. In wanting to meet for breakfast, I tried to find something near the hotel where he was staying for the week. Not familiar with the area, it was a roll of the dice as this is where I chose to meet. Thankfully, it was only about two minutes from his hotel and about an hour drive from Fort Worth. (Traffic was bad.) The food and serving size was medicore at best, but the service is what will bring me back. (I had the chicken breast and waffles with a side order of two biscuits. cute little breakfast spot not too far from our hotel in las colinas. we got there a little before 10am and it was already busy, but we got sat right when we walked in. the servers were fast and attentive so service gets a 4.5/5 from me- we got a coffee stained cup, i don't think it was dirty i think it was just stained. the food was closer to a 4/5. the migas were scrambled eggs topped with chips, i'm used to migas being the egg scrambled with the chips. the hashbrowns in the classic american breakfast were overly toasted. i'm sure that hot, fresh off the griddle they were good but once they had cooled down they were a little hard and tasted oily. the eggs were under salted which i can forgive since it's an easy fix. i think the coffee was a dark roast so fair warning if you're not a big fan of strong coffee. the pancakes were huge! i would recommend coming in early, by the time we left (10:40) there was already a line waiting to be seated. i think i would come back in the future, simply because i enjoyed how fast the service was. read more

This place was super cute though I didn't eat in. Ordered to go and the food prep was quick. Had the garden omelette with grits and pancakes. Unfortunately, I didn't receive my grits and instead received hash browns. All were delicious. Price was on point, food portions were good and flavor was good. Disappointed that I didn't get to try the grits but I'll definitely be back. Maybe to sit in except I'll skip the weekend because the line/wait was a bit much. read more

I paired it with the sour dough bread and it was just amazing! For my meal, I had the migas. The portion was huge! The has browns were nice and crispy and the eggs were flavorful. Loved this place! Clean, hip and beyond excellent service. Our waiter was a very respectful man that spoke to the kids for their orders and all around checked in on us perfectly. I dimmed from 5 stars to 4 for a couple small things. My son got hot chocolate and I can say that it was mostly water. Needless to say the $4 cup of coco didn't get drank. My husband got the Tex skillet and he was raving! It looks just as great as it tasted and it was HUGE! I got the garden veggie skillet and added ham and jalapeños. I ended up asking for salsa to throw on top as it was lacking flavor but it was excellent once that was added to the mix. My sons burger was juicy. My littlest got the grilled cheese and they didn't let him down. The last item that helped me drop the star was the panini. The grilled chicken pesto panini was a let down. Visited on Christmas Eve and although busy we were seated right away. Our server was friendly and festive. We were a party of four and each tried a different menu item. I had the "MOM" plate which consisted of 1 egg (your way), bacon or sausage and 2 HUGE pancakes. I also ordered a side of toast and hash browns to share. It was super busy with a wait which should be a good sign. My Daughter (15 y/o) thought her parfait was 8/10. Meanwhile, I ordered the avocado toast. Don't do it....Bread was healthy, but tasted terrible. Atop of that it was almost $15. The fruit it came with was pretty tasty, but the toast as a whole was not worth the price.
