Texas Style French Toast Caramel brûlée latte
    Diana G.

I came to this location last month after a long travel morning for work. I found it on Google Maps as I was in DFW and decided to give it a try as it was close to the destination I was in there pretty early in the morning, and there weren't many customers, so the service and attention to detail by the waiter with spot on. I ordered a classic breakfast with Texas style French toast and a caramel Brulé latte. The coffee was very rich in flavor and had me wanting another one and would recommend going back just for that drink. As for the breakfast, it was basic but very filling.

Bruncheon Las Colinas is a brunch/lunch spot in Irving-Las Colinas's Water Street development which has quickly turned into one of my favorite spots. At first, Bruncheon was made for people who wanted to fill their Instagram feeds, now it fills my belly. This is my updated review. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - The best part of Bruncheon is that it's located in Irving-Las Colinas's Water Street area. It over looks Lake Carolyn and has plenty of outdoor seating. Inside, it's a large open dining area with a high ceiling and ornate lighting. It's elegant and casual at the same time. 1 Star. Service - On my multiple visits, service has been great. The menu is pretty overwhelming, but our server never rushed us and magically appeared when we were ready to order. Coffee mugs were always filled. 1 Star. Food - On my most recent visit, I discovered their coffee menu and splurged on an Iced Crème Brule Latte. It was cold, sweet (hint of caramel and vanilla), and gave me a caffeine + sugar rush to wake me up. I went with the Blueberry Cheesecake pancakes. The pancakes created a makeshift sandwich with a blueberry/cheesecake compote in the center. Yes, also made for Instagram this sweet bite was sweet, creamy blueberry bliss. Each visit keeps getting better and better. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Bruncheon has made it on my list of go to places in Las Colinas. The nice February weather makes it even better. See you soon! 1 Star.

Came here to have a catch up with my sister for a Sunday brunch. Hadn't been to las colinas before but was pleasantly surprised by the walkability within the complex itself and the beautiful views on a sunny afternoon. Bruncheon was a nice choice for the day and we decided to split the chicken chilaquiles with red salsa (only because they were out of green!) and the waffles and berries. Both were great. Only complaint is I wish the salsa was spicier but we loved the balance between the savory and sweet. The waffles were perfectly cooked and still a little fluffy. If you come here, highly recommend you sit outside if it's sunny out. Service was also superb with our waitress.

Came here on a Saturday for the first time. We had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated and then the waitress let us know. It was about another 20 minutes when we sat down to order our food for food to be ready. Extensive menu so there's something for everyone. Service was great though our waitress was really nice and helpful when we ask questions about the menu. It wasn't too loud in there, but I do wish they had some type of music or something playing Now for the food! Strawberry cheesecake French toast 7/10: decent portion size the eggs and bacon were cooked how I liked. The presentation could use some work; wasn't as fan of the strawberry jelly but overall, this was a decent meal nothing too special. Strawberry crêpes 8/10: enjoyed the hash browns and the crêpes. Texas French toast 8/10: simple but enjoyed the French toast. Mimosas 8/10: small for the price but flavor was good.

This is a pretty neat place! The wall of roses was admittedly pretty cool, and the breakfast was spot-on (I was totally shocked by the portion size of my chicken and waffles lol). Can't believe I managed to fit all that into my box! Would recommend for a weekend brunch!!!

Solid brunch spot. We were looking for restaurant in the area that would accommodate 40+ people and this was the only one that would accommodate our group. Our servers were great. They were very kind and patient. I ordered the English Benedict and I really liked it. The matchas weren't the best but that's ok. The blueberry cheesecake pancakes made up for it -- they were amazing! If I ever come to Irving, I would definitely come back here!

Friendly comfort food with a great brunch vibe. The Latin staff is on point--you know you're in good hands from start to finish. There's a bit of magic happening behind the scenes: a team that truly hustles and delivers. The biscuits and gravy were probably the best I've ever had. A lovely spot for brunch with a spouse, family, or kids

Huge menu with lots of tasty options, almost overwhelming to choose from. Friendly service and quick food. I had the mushroom and Swiss crepes with eggs, hash browns, and chicken sausage, which were good. The lavender matcha latte looked great, but I couldn't taste the lavender, so not sure it made it in.

Severely disappointed in the lack of communication between staff, business owners and customers. Bruncheon Las Colinas this is my first impression of you and it's left a bad taste in my mouth. You're marketing your hours of operation for 6:30 am. Strongly advise scraping those off of the door and just use the light up sign. It's 6:30am and it's dark in here. Please do your future paying customers a favor and correct this. You said in a previous response to a reviewer that's this would never happen again.... Well full circle and it's happened again. How many people need keep getting this experience before a change is made.

Came early on a Sunday morning for brunch since I heard this place gets busy quickly which is exactly what I watched happen as soon as we were seated. They have outdoor and indoor seating and a very expansive menu. What's cool is lunch is also served all day so we enjoyed a dish off of the breakfast menu and one dish off of the lunch menu. The coffee is delicious. Service was a little bit slow, my cappuccino was cold the first time around, I asked them to heat it up which they did but it took a bit. Food came out quickly and was delicious, however because of busy they were getting it seems, getting the check and closing out took quite a bit. Overall was a great experience so will come back again to try more things on their menu!

My cousin and I came for breakfast with a view. Unfortunately, all the outdoor seating was unavailable, however, the inside was bright, clean and spacious. The menus were huge, literally, and there were so many options to choose from. I highly recommend looking at the menu beforehand. I finally decided on the strawberry cheesecake French toast and my cousin ordered the chicken and waffles. This place definitely makes food for the 'gram. everything is big and picture worthy, but with that being said, it can be a little pricey. Anyway, the French toast was delicious and the portions were big. My cousin really seemed to enjoy her food as well. If picture worthy food is your vibe, I would give this place a try.

    Texas Chicken Bacon Waffle
    Monica D.

I ordered the Texas Chicken Bacon waffle. The serving size was huge and it was tasty. I ordered coffee when I sat down but it wasn't served until the food came out and by then it was lukewarm. They happily replaced it. The inside was clean and I would describe the service timing as leisurely-- this is not where to come if you're in a rush.

Overall a decent place with the highlight being the outdoor seating if you are able to score a table on a nice day. Good news is it gets morning shade! Food was perfectly fine though not overly memorable. I've had better avocado toast and the second visit with standard breakfast fare was as expected. I DO like their coffee! What dropped it from 4 to 3 was the slow, seemingly uninterested service. One exception being the host(ess) who I think only started helping AND offered an apology when she realized how little attention we were getting. Food arrived long before the drinks. Definitely would not hesitate to return.

Great food/service! Also not too expensive for the portion of food they give. Absolutely a beautiful restaurant and in a great place!

This review focuses on the Las Colinas location. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Yolk - Las Colinas is located in a new area in Irving-Las Colinas with plenty of parking. Inside it's open with plenty of seating (some outdoors too), has Yolk's bright blue and yellow colors, but my favorite features are the big windows which let in the the sun's natural light. 1 Star. Service - Our server was great. She was very attentive and made sure we always had our mugs filled with coffee. I appreciated the friendly service that was all smiles. 1 Star. Food - Yolk's menu has classic breakfast and brunch options but be sure you check to table for coffee specials. I ordered an Iced Apple Pie Latte that was served in a glass mason jar. This small detail allowed the Apple flavor to start my breakfast on a high note. Speaking of which, my Breakfast Mac & Cheese caught my attention when it was served in a skillet. I intended to only eat half, but the smokey ham paired with the creamy mac & cheese under a light panko layer was too delicious for me to stop. The prices are a bit on the high side, but otherwise a geat meal. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. DFW is getting many great breakfast/brunch spots like Yolk. If you're a big fan of breakfast (and travelling on expense), it's a great way to start your day. 1 Star.

Despite the crowd, the atmosphere felt lively and welcoming. I ordered a savory pastry topped with sesame seeds. The latte, which includes orange blossom, cardamom, and honey, had a subtle floral sweetness and a comforting spice that made it especially enjoyable. They also offer a wide variety of signature drinks, which makes the menu fun to explore. I found a cozy spot to sit in the back of the café, which felt a bit more relaxed than the front area. This busy coffee show has quality coffee including super strong (grow hair on your chest) Turkish coffee. Oh, their latte's a pretty good too. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Coffee, Return) Atmosphere - Walking in, it's hard not to notice the array of golden Hershy Kiss shaped lights that highlight the area where the baristas work. The espresso machine is magnificent, and this area is stunning. But the seating isn't as inviting or comfortable, and on each visit P&B was packed with people. Like a museum, it's stunning to look at, full of people, yet can make you feel uncomfortable. 1/2 Star. Service - The staff is great. Super friendly and efficient. And by chance if you get them on a slower day, ask them about that epic espresso machine. Standard counter service here. You order, then move out of the way to the pickup area. No issues here. 1 Star. Coffee - P&B is known for their Turkish coffee. I've only ordered it once (to take photos), because honestly the coffee is super strong. It is served the traditional way, on a plate with the coffee, more coffee, and a glass of water. It's a little too strong for my tastes, but luckily P&B also can craft traditional coffee drinks iced or hot. I'm an Iced Latte guy and P&B makes an excellent one. 1 1/2 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. While a lot more crowded with less comfortable seating than your favorite Seattle based coffee chain, P&B is unique, in a beautiful area, is great for your Instagram feed, and is independent. I'll be back to support small businesses! 1 Star.

Even though it was nearly empty, the bartender at the time seemed very uninterested in working. Even the manager who was so friendly the first time, giving us a tour and inviting us back, seemed uninterested in the guests. Thinking it was "just an off night" we tried again. Service by the bartender was much more attentive this time, albeit slow--the kitchen's fault, not hers. While she seemed to not know much about the menu--all questions had the answer of "I'll have to ask the chef"--she was friendly. No more Gigante Bean soup? What?!? That was a main draw! Place was pretty dead. Even though we were not hotel guests and they were aware of that, we were also charged a 20% service charge "for room charges only" that was calculated against full prices, not what was paid for happy hour. Hopefully that went to the bartender since nothing more was added.
