In all my months / years living in the area and passing down MacArthur, I've never stopped in this place but am glad I did yesterday. I was looking up cold pressed juice in the area to wrap up a juice cleanse. As I was trying to decide between a couple of juices, the associate recommend the Toxin Flush. That's the only one she drinks and I appreciate her honesty! I got it and was impressed. Definitely has good taste. They also sell acai bowls, smoothies, freshers, healthy snacks like granola, oats and more. They also have juice cleanse packages so I may try that out for my next detox. The location is convenient. It was a Friday late morning but didn't take long for me to get my juice made fresh. The store was clean with plenty of seating for a cozy juice bar. I'm sure you can order online or via the app and simply just pick up too to save time. A couple of customers were in and out. If you download the mobile app or sign up for texts, you can be rewarded a freebie. Allow a few days for the free smoothie or juice to hit. I went to GameStop yesterday to purchase Final Fantasy XVI, and Nekter Juice Bar was right next door. I figured I could try a new smoothie place out of curiosity. I make my own smoothies at least 2-4 times per week, but I wanted a break. I walked in and 2 girls were working the counter. They were nice but passive and didn't seem interested in helping me since this was my first time trying this place. After some menu browsing, I got a peanut butter chocolate protein smoothie. The smaller side is $9, while the larger size is $11. I added a metabolism boost and it came to $13. The smoothie had a good taste, and the flavors were well balanced. However, the texture was chalky. Also, when I was sipping, I tasted chunks of either cacao nibs and/or dates. I think that will naturally happen when making a smoothie, but it was still a bit unpleasant. Overall, I will not return. The service was lackluster, plus I can go to Smoothie King and get a 40 oz for the same price as the smallest size. If you are looking for a vegan smoothie place though, try it out. read more

I enjoy most of my smoothies from here - they have fresh fruits and veggies and I'm OK paying money for them. Like others said, there is much to be desired though... 1. The customer service isn't great. There is a high turnover of staff so everyone is always in training, which impacts the speed of you getting your smoothie. 2. Speaking of customer service, no one seems pleasant or happy to be there. 3. They are super slow. I mean, slow like molasses. Even if you put in your order on the app, they won't start on your order until you arrive. Which defeats the purpose of placing an advanced order. Here are the ingredients in this smoothie: A puree of spinach, kale, pineapple, banana, coconut butter, and coconut water. It was bright green and I was a little worried it would taste only of kale. They service was good, but they have a lot of call ahead orders that were made before in store orders so we were waiting about 20 minutes for 2 drinks. I have stopped by this location at least 6 times over the past 3 months. I was double charged for a bowl. I did not realize because I don't check my bank statements all the time. But when I did say something the worker literally did not acknowledge what I said. Today I called & after 6 times they finally answered. I was told I called the wrong line. This is the only line posted. Then I explained I was on my way & wanted to order to go. I was told I could not. She had me on the phone & rejected my request. Then I get to there store & there are 2 workers & only one customer in store. Honestly I was amazed at the horrible service. One of those 2 employees answered & could of made a customer want to return. Then I again mentioned being double charged. Just crickets!!! I WILL NEVER GIVE THEM BUSINESS AGAIN. I own a studio up the street & would give them referrals or possibly use for events but now I only think what awful treatment. I will make sure to tell everyone how they charged me twice for an already expensive product. Instead of $12 for a bowl I paid $24. I guess this is how they conduct business. Is it pretty? Yes. Does it taste good? It's not bad, pretty good. It's fresh for sure. Is it expensive? YES I would not pay almost $10 for another acai bowl, definitely not worth it. You can make something like this at home for sure. read more

I am here in Dallas on business and stopped by this place to get what i always get in the morning, FRUIT. Leme start by saying this place has bad Bad management. Everyone here is 18 or 17 years old They literally have kids working here who are NOT educated at all about anything lol no seriously... i asked the girls if the fruit is GMO they said "what does that mean" lmao then i asked if it's organic they don't know.... I understand this is a franchise but this store needs help.. There needs to be an update cus if i start my own fruit spot next door i would run Nektar out of business. They only had 2 people working and by the time they came to take our order there were at least 6 more people in line behind us. When we finally got out order this was the pitiful bowl that came out. 4 small slices of of strawberries, 5 blueberries and barely 1/4 of the way full with acai. But I usually eat a light breakfast, so this was more than enough. Price is kinda pricy, but for the portion and how fresh it tasted, I don't mind paying it. I didn't know what to expect when it came to taste, as this was my first time trying the açaí bowls. I was worried it might be tarte, but it wasn't. It was not overly sweet and super cold, which I liked. I added the blue chia pudding and I'm glad I haven't had it before. Next time, I would probably add extra granola. Okay if you are in a pinch for a healthy option. Juices are probably the best menu option. I've tried a couple of bowl options and bases feel watered down... my last bowl was basically a soup. They go very light on toppings... to the point where I cut up my own fruit to add at home. Pineapple topping definitely came from a can.
