I never write reviews but I was so frustrated after my most recent visit that I felt I needed to. So a few days ago I decided to drive there and pick up some food. I arrived and ordered a hamburger and made sure to specify to not put cheese on it, along with a side of fries. Simultaneously, there was a group of young adults ordering food, while going in and out of the store to ask their other friends who were outside what they wanted. This would have been fine if all the people in that group were wearing masks as the sign posted on the front door states. I felt uncomfortable as we are in the midst of a pandemic, so I decided to go back and wait for my food in my car. I was told to come back in 20 mins and when I did my food was not ready. The same group of people were still inside the store without masks on, and some of them were even eating the food that they had just received while waiting for the rest of their order to be ready. After about another 20 minutes, I finally received my order but once I got back in my car I noticed that they put cheese on my burger, which is fine...an honest mistake. I went back inside and told the girl who took my order, I said no cheese and I saw her speak to the cook. I had assumed they were preparing another burger, but after another 15 minutes I asked about my order yet again to which she informed me that they "are out of patties," and that the cook was preparing a chicken sandwich for me instead. At this point I also noticed that the cook was not wearing a mask as well, and he was even whistling while prepared the other orders! (COVID is a respiratory virus that can be transmitted by respiratory droplets!) I was so frustrated by my encounter, which has been over an hour at this point, that I just demanded a refund and left my food there. read more

Great burgers everytime!!! Thank god i found this place! The freshest fries, perfectly cooked burger..... and what are the buns?? Hawaiian bread?!?!? Only thing id suggest is that the beef patties be a little bigger. Sometimes 1 just isnt enough but 2 would be too much lol i havenr tried the milkshakes yet but im dying to! But since i only get take out thru ubereats, im nervous it wont make it read more

My favorite place in town, everything about it is wonderful. Today I got the classic, with an egg and bacon along with a black and white shake and an order of sweet potato fries. The burger was juicy and fresh. The fries were crispy but not dry so it was perfect. But the best part had to be the black and white shake. It had a fried oreo and half of a poptart in it. I wasn't expecting it to be so good. Also service is attentive, making sure you're order was correct and you're satisfied. Definitely recommend!! read more

The fact that I tried this place for the first time as a delivery order and it tasted the way it did.. I'm blown away. I ordered the bodega burger which has a fried egg and sweet plantains. AMAZING. I loved that the plantain and egg were shaped perfectly to fit the entire burger. Great execution on that. I usually don't eat delivered fries as more than likely they tend to be soggy. Not in this case. They were crunchy and delicious. Surprising actually. I didn't expect that. But the secret is their sauces. If you're a sauce lover this is your safe haven. I tried 4 out of the 5 they carry. The Garlic sauce, herb ranch, chipotle maple glaze, and jam special sauce. Hats off to their creators. All 4 were outstanding in their own right. Lastly I had the vanilla milkshake. I don't usually order milkshakes but this one may have been the one to change my mind forever. You can tell they use great quality food here. Absolutely terrible. Will not be returning. Waited 30 minuets for a burger and shake. Only one person cooking during lunch hour. Paid $20.78 for a no topping "jam burger" and a shake. The burger was tiny and not worth it. The shake had a giant cone in the middle of it taking up most of the space. It was air filled for $10. I do not recommend. read more

Maybe they were just having a bad day because they seem to have great reviews. 3 stars for the extravagant milkshakes, it honestly was a treat. Would have loved to give this place a better rating but we were one of two groups in the restaurant and we waited a reasonable amount of time for our food, maybe around 10/15 mins but everything was cold. First we got the milkshake which had me so excited for everything else to come out. Ordered a regular burger and fries, fries were soggy and cold, the meat on my burger was room temp. The food it's self wasn't horrible even being it was cold but I work in the service industry and I know that there is no excuse for that. I was there mid afternoon, was very clearly not busy just don't understand why I got cold food. I would love to give this place another try but considering it's about 20 min drive and and the lack of attention from the BOF staff I will be very unlikely to return. The gentleman that took our order was very polite, great vibe and decore in this establishment, just hope they work out the kinks. read more

Came on a Saturday night, the place is extremely small with only about 3 tables and a long counter with stools for an additional two tables, being that it's small and the door is constantly being opened it gets cold in there quick! I didn't find anything great about the burgers, they were good but nothing to brag about. I didn't have a milkshake as it's the middle of January and freezing outside. I would go back to try a milkshake but I don't know if I would get another burger. read more

I was extremely excited to eat here and ended up being extremely disappointed. The place is cute, don't get me wrong, and the concept of what there trying to do is there, however, it is lacking in many ways. They have tiny glass water bottles for purchase that are over $2 and only Fanta soda to choose from. My friend and I both ordered the bodega burger which came out cold and the egg was over done. There was also one minuscule slice of a platano maduro so I'm not sure why they even put it on the burger. It was an hour and a half wait for our food to come out and they were not that busy--besides, it's essentially just fast food so why did it take so long? Such an awesome place and the staff is incredibly friendly. The burgers are absolutely awesome and have a really nice flavor. And their fries are AMAZING. Usually fries are bland and subpar but I actually finished every one!! Also, their specialty milkshakes are so cool and not only aesthetically pleasing but taste AWESOME. I had the classic burger with bacon. I was pleased with the burger. It tasted fresh and had good flavor. I expected the fries to be a little better. Also had the milkshake. They're shakes are amazing. A bit pricey, but worth it. I recommend the Reese's pieces shake for those who like peanut butter. Overall it was a nice little spot. The decor was cool. Awesome food but kinda pricey! The shakes are good but for the price they should be a bigger size. The waitress should be a little more mature and pleasant. I would recommend pg music being that I saw a few kids there including mine and the cursing was a little much and uncomfortable. Overall a good ambiance for a nice quick bite. Honestly if I could select no stars I would after my experience tonight. I ordered 5 items over the phone, very simple. I picked up my order, got home to find no labels on the burgers. I ordered a veggie burger and a regular burger. I've never ordered take out before from a place who doesn't label their items. I opened the two burgers and couldn't distinguish which one was the veggie burger as they appear very similar. Also, the regular burger was not supposed to have tomatoes and both burgers did so that made it harder to figure out which was which. My boyfriend bit into both and couldn't tell. Also, we received an order of regular fries and an order of sweet potato fries when I ordered two regular fries. I was very unhappy and confused as to why they didn't label the burgers. I called and explained that my order was incorrect and asked why they wouldn't label the two burgers. The person I told was very snotty and rude saying she didn't do anything wrong, that she put the order through and the cook messed up. Instead of apologizing she kept focusing on the fact she wasn't the one who did it. I told her I wasn't blaming her because the items on my receipt were correct as I ordered with her initially. When I asked if they label their food, she said they never do and that I should be able to tell which burger was the veggie burger based on thickness. I went back and asked for two correct burgers and an order of regular fries. I emphasized that I should not have to open each item to see what it is, especially as a vegetarian. Even regular burgers and other items like that should be labeled. What if there are multiple items in an order? People shouldn't have to open each one guessing which is which. Also, the cook was there and I told him my receipt had the correct items but my order was incorrect and he said the order got messed up because when the tickets print they don't always say the "no tomatoes" or "add pickles" when he's making the order. I said what do you mean? That makes no sense and I don't understand. He repeated that the tickets don't always say the specifics of the order. He sounded ridiculous. The cook's excuse about the ticket system made no sense at all. Then I had to wait there while he cooked the correct food. As he gave me the bag I asked him if he labeled the veggie burger and he said no. Instead he said here look open the veggie one, you can see it's thicker and it smells different. I told him I understand what it looks like and how it smells because I've had this brand of veggie burger Beyond Meat before. That's not my point. My point is after all that happened he still couldn't take 1 second to label the damn burgers! I said I don't understand what the problem with labeling is. I left and when I got home I saw the burgers were correct, but was not given an order of fries as I was supposed to. I thought he had put them in the bag but no. SO this was the first time I ordered from this place and it will absolutely be my last! This was such an unpleasant experience. DO NOT ORDER FROM THERE. read more
