Great experience with Luis at Jalisco Mufflers and Performance. He gave me a fair price on my catalytic converter, and since catalytic converters and exhaust work are one of their specialties, he was able to get it done in about 45 minutes on a Saturday. Friendly, honest, good energy, and willing to work with you on price when he can. He also loved my dog Federico, which was a nice touch. Definitely recommend this family-owned business. read more

I had visit because my wife and I heard a lot of noise coming from the bottom of the car. We had thought it had to do with the exhaust and/or shield. Upon arrival, I had the car on the lift in minutes, he inspected the car and found the issue. It was due to our stabilizer bar, which he was able to help resolve the issue. I was in and out of the shop less than 30 minutes. Luis was very helpful, honest, and knowledgeable. Unbeatable price, too. I'll definitely be coming here when in need. read more

If I could give Luis 10 stars I would. I had an issue regarding a rusted pipe under my car that had a hole in it. My orig mechanic quoted me at $500. I came by Luis to get a 2nd opinion. He was quick to assess the issue and informed me that it was simple welling job for $150. He was very honest and professional. Luis is truly a lifesaver. I wish he could be my mechanic for all my car issues. At the end of the day, it's hard to find good people like Luis. We are very fortunate that he was able to help us out right away especially in today's economy. Jalisco Muffler should be your go shop going forward. They provide great customer service at an affordable price and high quality. Thank you Luis for all your help. You are truly the best. read more

This is the most honest man and mechanic you will ever come into contact with. His costumer service is superb and will walk you through the process of what it takes to fix your vehicle. You always hear stories of mechanic shops getting over on people who are ignorant to the pricing and costs of parts. He is far from that horrible truth. I would recommend you come here for any muffler or catalytic problems. read more

I went to Jalisco Muffler shop, at PCH, and meet this very nice guy his name is Lius(owner). I ask him what the best muffler sounds for my toyota tundra 5.7 liter engine, and he is very accommodating person, he will tell you the best for your sounds muffler. In the first place I was so skeptical, however Luis is a very professional, the way I observed, and talking to him. After he had been done, the moment I start my truck, I was convinced and amazed from the sounds of my tail pipe. Awesome sounds, deep and rich.....broooooommm....I like it. Luis is honest, and upfront, thank you Mr.LUIS NOTE: Do not spend too much money for all these advertisements if you only wants the sound. The price that Luis gave me is awsome for my budget, can't complain. Satisfied. read more

Honest and fair. Not only did these guys not charge me one cent, but they also fixed the problem so quickly. I would trust my life to these guys. To be honest, though, DON'T GO anywhere else in Long Beach. Jalisco is the best! Ended up having a loose heat shield. They took it off instantly and said I was good to go. I did my research and end up with a list of the top 5 muffler specialists in Long Beach, my car needed to have the catalytic converter replaced. I visited all of them and received various estimates and time it would take to have the work done. What stand out from the rest when I visited Luis, was that he's VERY knowledgeable about his profession and Honest; two qualities that were high on my list. Also, the pricing was very fair, "No Price Gouging" He was also very courteous, and quick to resolve the issue. His shop was neat and the parking lot was spacious. When Luis remove the old parts, he took the time and was patient to explain to me the exact problem with the parts removed, and what to do in the future to minimize adverse damage on my car. At the end of my experience, I had no doubt that in the future I would bring all my cars when muffler and exhaust repairs are needed. Thank you so very much Luis. You're Outstanding!! I highly recommend Jalisco Muffler! My catalytic converter was stolen from my 2007 Honda Accord on June 15th, 2021. My insurance company sent my car to Collision Works to have the part replaced but the service department there said that catalytic converters for my model were back ordered until September or October because of so many thefts. I also found out a couple of days ago that Honda had no ETA for new catalytic converters at all, that it could be as much as a year before I could get one. After borrowing my son's car for 3 months when I needed it, he encouraged me to call muffler shops. The first one I called only had an after market universal cat converter and those are not California legal and they would have charged $1,800 for the cat plus labor. I called Jalisco Muffler next and talked to Luis. As it turns out he actually HAD a Honda catalytic converter that was made for my Honda model. He said he had bought it for a guy that wanted his replaced but the guy never showed up. The part had been sitting on his shelf for a year, long before all the thefts started. What are the odds??!! What good fortune! Luis said he'd charge $1,200 for the cat converter and labor as long as nothing else had to be done. Well, when I got there it turned out my sensor had been taken as well, plus another part had been taken. He charged $120 each for parts and labor so the total was $1,440. VERY reasonable! And fast! My car was towed there on a Friday just at closing and my car was done by 10:00 AM the next morning on a Saturday. Plus, he replaced free of charge the old dead battery with a new one I had purchased the day my car was ready. Luis is warm, friendly and very personable - a real people person - and it was such a pleasure chatting with him. He loves his work and enjoys visiting with his customers when he can. Because he was so kind, very fair and got the work done so fast, I paid him $1,500. It seemed only fair. If you want honest, fair, friendly and fast service, Jalisco Muffler is the place to go! Thank you so much Luis! God bless you! read more

I knew I had damaged the underside of my SUV on an off-road trip. And that a protection shield was rubbing on my exhaust. I also broke 2 rubber exhaust hangers and bent the mounting studs. So I sought out this local, well reviewed shop. I went in and the gentleman was able to fix it while I waited. His service was great, and his price was very fair. I'd definately come back here again for any future muffler and exhaust needs. read more

Was not a fan of being told I need to stop by in order to get a "ball park" estimate to mount a muffler with three hangers. I called four shops and this was the only one that could not give me an approximate costs for a job that they do all day. I was looking all over the place for a shop that was willing to work on my car , I drive a c7 corvette and I was looking for someone that can help me out with the installation. 4 shop turn me down because they think that it's not worth their time and that my car is too difficult for them to work on since they will have to do some extra work to take off my back bumper to be able to do the installation correctly....However this wasn't the case for Jalisco muffler as the guy actually willing to help me out WITHOUT even having to take the my bumper off and for a good price as well, he was really dedicated to his task and we even had some really good conversation while he was working on my car as well, overall I had a really good experience with the guy and really satisfied with his work on my car, 10/10 would recommend this to anyone looking for a good muffler shop.! read more

I have been trying to get my engine light to go off and the dealership had been jerking me around and replacing oxygen sensors and engine light kept returning.
