You can tell KC just loves doing this and does it for the love of the game. He literally lost money on a repair for my car because he told me a price and after the repair the part itself cost as much as the price he gave me. When I said "oh so what's the total then" he said. He gave me some pointers that the throttle body on my vehicle should/could be replace for $400 if I'm running into the constant oil burning issues that leads to the engine stalls when driving. Horrible service, took my car in for a service, KC replaced a part on my car and when i left i had more problems then when i first arrived. Upon returning to ask him to fix the new issues, he stated it was out of his hands. If you come here keep it simple maybe oil change or air in your tires. Needed a last minute transmission oil change, the owner KC obliged me in getting it done before they closed so I could pick my wife up the next morning. Wanted the filter and gasket changed as well since I had bought them already, he said he could do that and offered to stay overtime if he had to, KC quoted a fair price for the job. Calls a little over an hour later and tells me the fluid is so clean that changing the filter and gasket wouldn't be necessary and suggested I return the parts to get my few dollars back, then charged less than half of what he quoted me at pick up before the day was over like he said. I really recommend this shop. I had an issue with my SUV and after taking it to another mechanic that wasted my time and money, I decided to take it to Kc's Auto repair. KC checked my vehicle and ran a diagnostic and explained to me what the issue could be. Since the diagnostic didn't come up with any major issues KC didn't charge me for the inspection!!!! I took my 2001 Toyota Camry in because I had a check engine light. The reader told me it was the coolant temp sensor was bad so i had KC change out the sensor, thermostat and coolant. Simple job and just needs to be ran to make sure that there are no leaks and that the temp gauge on the dashboard reads the temp and good to go. Welp this guy was too sure of himself and only replaced the parts and never ran it and let me pick it up. Took it home and let it sit over night the next morning i head to work in Newport Beach and i get there with a overheated engine. Got it towed back to kc shop and sure enough he adds a quick solution to the coolant system to ensure my car drives and runs okay for a while and a month down the road my engine ceased. Dont take your car here. I will never support a small business for automobile repairs. Rather pay top dollar than have a cars engine to be replaced for something as small as a temp sensor and coolant replacement. Never took the car back because he acted like he didn't do anything and my car was doing perfect i just wanted to smog my car. Find a better and more reliable mechanic read more

I finally found a mechanic I can trust. KC has worked on both my wife's car and my car multiple times. (I'd like to clarify - I only have one wife). KC's prices are the best in town. He's great at big jobs and little ones too. One time, after my extensive google research, I told KC what I thought was wrong with my car and anticipated an expensive repair. In no time, I got a call from KC saying that I didn't need that expensive repair, all that was needed was minor adjustment of something or other. So KCsaved me a few hundred dollars. I have total faith in KC's car knowledge and integrity. One more thing, he's fast. One time I dropped off an oLd Camry for new shocks all around - in a couple of hours the job was completed (and for about $150 less than the going rate). And, on a few occasions, I stopped in his shop for a minor engine adjustment - KC made the adjustment immediately without charge. read more

Car Issue: My '08 Toyota Corolla's right front brake would rumble when I braked. After KC took a look at it, we found out the rotor was warped and brake pads were worn out. KC Auto Repair resurfaced rotors and put on new ceramic brake pads on my front brakes. $145. (Another local auto repair shop asked for $280.) The work was done in about 40 minutes. I was impressed with the owner's knowledge and quick diagnosis. It seems he's a veteran mechanic. An oil change here is $25. I plan on returning for that.
