My husband and I have been coming here since 2008 and it's a regular place for us to stop by. I absolutely love their prices and very large portions. Everything is cooked fresh and they always take pride in their presentation. Their sesame chicken is amazing and chicken lo mein is never greasy - always tender and delicious. The ladies are super sweet (family owned) and always stop to make conversation with us. It might be a hole in the wall, that could admittedly use some updating, but we love it just the way it is! We order from Jade Palace about every week! We love this place! As previous poster mentioned, their Orange Chicken is fabulous. They use really nice white meat chicken chunks and the sauce is delicious. The delivery service is fast and polite! The delivery guy always asks me how my baby is doing..since on his first visit I was very pregnant! And for every entree you order, you receive a 'coupon'. Once 6 are collected you get a free entree! I've noticed they tend to throw in more than 1 coupon card per entree, so nice! I have also been pleased with several other entrees, Hunan Tofu, Broccoli Chicken to name a couple. General Tso Chicken.... horrible. no flavor, some was cooked well some was chewy. best part was the water chesnuts. This restaurant has been our go-to place for Chinese food when we were in need of good food, quiet, and close to home. The food is tasty, consistently seasoned the same way, and plentiful. Prices are very reasonable. A little difficult to find if you are not familiar with the are, but worth the search effort. read more

What's strange about this place is that it's allegedly been here since 2010 or even earlier. I visit this shopping center quite a bit and I have never even seen it. It's almost as if my conscious mind was hiding its existence from me until my mind was ready to take in its grandeur. Jade Palace is basically the most quintessential shitty (in an endearing way) Chinese American takeout place I have ever visited. The place has a trippy red and green color scheme going. There's a set of double, double doors to walk through. When you step inside, you don't know what to think. The place is like a fusion of design elements from the 70's, 80's and 90's all at the same time. Like all good Chinese restaurants, they focus on the food, because that's what restaurants are supposed to. Industrial grade carpeting, terracotta tiles, some trippy mirrors all over the walls and the strangest table layout ever. You walk up to the counter and above are some extremely faded, backlit yellow menu displays. It looks like it was warped in from the 80's. The only thing that betrays the fact that this is a professional operation are two point of sale systems, black, shiny and quite new, sitting behind a tangle of network cables. I will say I haven't been in the bathroom yet and I'm not sure if I want to. I fear it may disgust me so much that I'll never return. Ignorance is bliss. How's the food? The restauranteurs pack heat in the form of a $3.95 lunch special. Yes, $3.95. You get a soup, some of those fried wheat chips, rice and the special. Let's start with the chips. They're actually good, surprisingly enough. I've never liked those things until now. The chips here are not stale, which is nice. The hot and sour soup is actually the best I've ever had. Not too hot, not too sour, but definitely both. It's got bamboo slivers floating around in it and other stuff. The texture is perfect. not too thick, not too thin. The chef has mastered the art of corn starch use. Now what about the main dish? You get a big scoop full of regular steamed or fried rice as well as a decent portion of the main dish. Needless to say they taste pretty good too. The service is harried and kind of rushed, as with all such Chinese takeouts. The Lemon Chicken I ordered had NO lemon flavor at all. The chicken, believe it or not, were sliced breaded cutlets straight from Sam's Club. So were the Egg rolls. Straight out of a darned box. I wrote down the total amount only. I had cash to give as a tip. I did not want my card charged again just for a tip. Since the guy was very rude I kept my money. The guy threw my receipt down and walked out of my office. Very rude delivery driver. I will never order any food from this place again. Ordered food to go. The food came promptly. Called back because they forgot the "crispy noodle" part of my Chow Mein. They came back with a bag of fried wonton. When I called to clarify my order they get confused and told me I didn't order Chow Mein. Apparently their Chow Mein "Crispy Noodle" does not actually come with noodles. I ordered Orange Beef and a couple egg rolls. The egg rolls were fine. However, the Orange Beef was a disgusting oily soup with slimy soaked battered pieces of beef floating around. I am so disappointed. This place is always putting flyers on my apartment so we decided to give it a try. It took an hour and a half for our food to arrive. We ordered chicken low mein and orange chicken. That stuff is usually set out ready to go. I live on Spring Creek and Coit and they are on Spring Creek and Alma so not quite sure why it would take that long. Also no disclaimer on long delivery times when we ordered. We called at an hour and were told that it would be there within 10 minutes. At a hour and 20 minutes we called to cancel and they said it should be right there and they would give 20% off. My family was hungry so decided to wait it out. The driver arrived and wanted to know why we didn't tip. I have NEVER had someone ask for a tip at the door and arguing about me why we didn't. Angry at my husband for not just canceling. The food was cold. The low mein was super slimey and I couldn't stomach to eat it. I don't know how my husband is eating this stuff but my daughter and I are munching on cereal instead. I usually go to Royal Chopsticks off of Coit and Spring Creek but they don't deliver and I will not take the chance on delivery again. If I could give no stars I would. read more

This is one of the greatest restaurants i've visited. The crew was soooo nice and made me feel like I was going to visit close friends. I wish I would have asked the extremely nice lady that assisted me and gave me my food for her name. I If I could give negative number rating or 0 stars to Jade's Palace in Plano, I would. I ordered their Monday lunch special (Moo Goo Gai Pan chicken) and told them we will come to pick it up. The gentlemen on the phone said it would take 10 minutes. 15 minutes later we arrived and our food was not ready. There were two guys in front of us waiting for their order too. So, we hung around the register for few minutes but our food was still not ready. I finally asked the lady at the register when our food will be ready. She went over to cooking area and started talking to cooks in urgent, alarming tone in her voice. Two minutes later, our food was done and we took it home. After we got home, we opened four boxes of food and realized that they didn't put chicken in it. There were three scoops of steamed rice and scoop of cabbage and broccoli in each box. Okay, what now? I tasted the food but three cups of steamed rice and cup of cabbage w broccoli tastes like dirt. At this point we were starving and out of lunch money. I called Jade's palace back and when I told the guy who answered the phone what happened, he immediately passed me on to the lady at the register. I explained to her that our order had no chicken in it and in her very, very poor English she asked me to come back any time and order something else. She said she has me in the computer and any time I come back she will know. Right!! I told her to have order done at 5pm that same evening, as I figured she probably would not even remember I existed 5 minutes later. We tossed four boxes of steamed rice and vegetables in trash. I called lady at 4:30 to make sure our order is ready. She said no problem and gave me my total for food. Are you kidding me!!! I paid for food earlier and ended up throwing it in trash and now she wanted to make me pay for it again! She said she will add more chicken this time. I told her I don't want more chicken, I want to be reimbursed with proper meal or I want my money back. She said she can't do that. All she can do is add more chicken to my NEW order. Really??? So, Jade's palace scores 2, customer 0. That is no way to treat a customer. Jade's Palace, you just lost four customers and I will make sure I spread the word around, you can be sure of that.
