Japanese cuisine with French culinary flair. @jade.beverlyhills is such a gorgeous restaurant! The ambiance is so lovely - the perfect place to have a date, catch up with friends, or celebrate a special occasion! Address: 467 N. Canon Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90210 Nearby parking lot around the corner makes it convenient. I highly recommend their happy hour menu from 5:30 to 7pm on M-TH and to keep your eye out for featured musical guests, DJs and artists! Great cocktails for $13. Everything we tried was fresh and delicious, especially the Jade Roll, Hamachi Crudo, and Wagyu dumplings. What we ordered: Happy hour menu: Hamachi Crudo Wagyu Dumplings Spicy Tuna Crisp yuzu Margarita mule cocktail Regular Menu jade Roll Onyx Roll Jewelry Box 9 piece Nigiri Chef's selection Thank you to Soyol our server who was so sweet and gave us such a nice experience!

This is such a gorgeous spot! The ambience is beautiful. And they have a ton of stunning, cocktails, and delicious food. They have a good amount of vegan options which I appreciate.

We visited Jade Beverly Hills to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were very impressed with the dishes at this establishment. The menu selection isn't very large, but the taste and quality are outstanding. The combinations of ingredients are very interesting. The team did an amazing job. It's a very authentic place--clean and cozy. The staff are very friendly and attentive to guests. This is definitely a 5-star experience.

Jade was a top contender for my NYE plans, but we ended going somewhere else. We decided to come here this past weekend for a weekend getaway. Upon entering you'll notice all the green decor! Its's very dark and moody. I loved all the music they were playing too! The menu is a page long and we wanted to try so many items! We got the smashed cucumbers, wagyu gyoza, hamachi crudo, black snapper sashimi, miso black cod, a handroll, and the 9-piece nigiri. The cucumbers were refreshing, and all the fish was so fresh. The nigiri was beautifully presented and came with miso soup. We saved room for dessert and decided on the ichigo eton mess. It was toasted merengue, strawberry, plum wine whip, honey sesame cashew brittle, strawberry yuzu coulis, shiso. It was fun cracking the meringue, but wish it was a little less dense. This dessert was refreshing and not too sweet. Service was very quick and attentive. All the food came out so fast! Definitely a great spot for a night out in Beverly Hills!

I've been to several unique themed restaurants before that get a lot of attention for the decor and vibe but then lack in quality and flavor of food. Jade excelled in both! Named a Japanese Brassierie with Japanese cuisine with a French flair (two of my favorite styles), this gorgeous spot is a must-try. The interior is beautifully decorated and clean-- very stylish and not cheesy or gaudy. It has a low-light, "lo-fi" vibe. They also have a piano in the center of the room and a live DJ. I tried the jewelry bowl chirashi which was fresh and delicious. I didn't each much rice (didn't want to fill up) but they don't give you too much anywayl-- the focus is on the fish and roe anyway. Roe was quite salty but good to balance it out with the other items in the box including the Perilla leaf (don't just eat the roe on it's own). My friend ordered the Onyx and the black ink sauce complemented the rich umami flavor. I think our favorite though was the Hamachi crudo (I love hamachi anyway) but it had a great sweet&sour sauce with crunchy garlic oil. There were chunks of pineapple that added a zesty-ness and lastly, the wakame mellowed out the flavor nicely. The slices of fish were a bit tricky to pick up with metallic chopsticks though, even for a seasoned chopstick user like myself -- so that was amusing. Lastly, they have such a unique dessert menu. We got 2 desserts: Ichigo meringue, and black sesame creme brulee. The creme brulee was INCREDIBLE. I'm not kidding--you gotta get it! It's so delicious (not too sweet) and topped with sliced blueberries that complemented the sweetness so well! And finally, our server was so nice enough to bring a pretty gold bowl with lid with mochi ice cream and strawberries for my birthday. There was a candle slot in the lid too! For their seasonal wine, I tried the Beaujolais and it did not disappoint. Service was good-- no issues there. Staff really look out for you and make sure all your needs there are met. For the location, parking is street and also a lower level parking garage (just $5 though I think) - lovely area (I mean, it's Beverly Hills..). All in all, Jade is great. Lives up to its reputation in quality and style.

This place has been on my list for awhile , we walked into Jade on a Saturday night with no reservation and were pleasantly surprised they were able to seat us at the bar. Honestly best decision! The bar has such a great vibe... intimate, stylish, and perfect for watching the chef work while enjoying a drink. Our bartender was amazing he was super friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful with recommendations. Drinks were great too: balanced, refreshing. Met the owner who was there drying dishes and working right along side everyone else. The restaurant itself is small, cozy, and really cute, giving it that tucked-away, elevated hidden-gem feel. It's perfect for a date night, a chill dinner, or even bringing a small group for a fun night out. They let us know that on some nights they have live music, which would be a great addition. We ordered: Multiple hand rolls ,fresh, flavorful, and made right in front of us. Mushroom appetizer - warm, savory, and packed with umami. So good! Crudo appetizer - beautifully plated and super fresh. Everything tasted amazing and was presented with so much detail. We would absolutely come back again. Jade is the perfect blend of great food, great energy, and great service. Highly recommend! (Photos of some of the dishes we ordered included below. )

We happened to be in Beverly Hills and I wanted to try out this restaurant. Jade is beautiful inside. It takes you to an art deco jade colored haven. We had reservations and got right in. I love how comfy the chairs are. Our waitress brought us water and our drinks that we ordered quickly. There was a wonderful piano player singing while we were there. I liked her music. We got the Tokyo mule and Beverly blossom. Both were delicious. We got there at happy hour, so many of the items we tried were cheaper than the dinner rush. We ordered spicy tuna crisp and the wagu Gyoza. Both were absolutely delicious. We also ordered the diamond roll which was perfect. All the flavors were amazing. We ordered the mango mochi and meringue desserts to try out after. If you havnt been to Jade yet, you have to try it out. It's a great date night spot or even a girls night out spot.

My husband and I visited Jade Beverly Hills on New Year's Eve. We read online that it would be open until very late with a DJ to ring in the new year. Overall, the restaurant is lovely with great decor, small and cozy. Since we came here on New Year's Eve and they were hosting the event, perhaps the restaurant was a bit disorganized. My guess is that given the higher number of people coming in, a different menu, and a late night, there was more stress and confusion among the restaurant staff. The prix fix menu was delightful and offered a variety of choices. I don't consume any seafood, so it was wonderful to see other intriguing dishes. My only complaint is that they seemed to be rushing us with the menu. They would barely allow us time to enjoy our plate when the next one was already at the table. I think they overbooked themselves and were trying to make things go faster. My absolute favorite was the momiji jidori chicken. Oh my goodness it was cooked to perfection! This is probably the most delicious, tender, and juicy chicken I've ever had. The momiji marinade that accompanied the chicken was the best part. It was a spicy and citrus sauce that really added a nice touch. My second favorite was the dessert. I got the hojicha cheescake. It was fluffy, soft, and it had a melt-in-your-mouth texture! Add some citrus cookie crumble that came on top to your bite, and you were in dessert heaven. I was looking forward to the wagyu crispy rice, but the texture was not good at all. I was disappointed when I requested this option and our waitress informed me that the rice was overcooked, making it extremely chewy and hard. Since I don't eat seafood, the other options on the menu were not appropriate for me, so I went ahead with the crispy rice regardless. They were indeed very chewy and sometimes hard to eat. The flavor was still there, however, which made it even more disappointing because this would have been one of my favorites. We were looking forward to the party aspect with a DJ that was advertised online. Turns out the DJ is the owner or manager of the restaurant, and it really sounded like an amateur DJ. There were some odd mixes and drops in the music played that night. I think Jade has potential for becoming a late night bar or even a nightclub, but please hire a professional DJ!

Had an awesome time at Jade on a Saturday night celebrating my birthday with friends. Tried a variety of rolls, Nigiri, and appetizers. Everything was delicious and made to perfection at the same time as having artistic touches. Loved it. I wasn't expecting a sushi place in Beverly Hills to be so much fun. Our server was a lady from France. She was super sweet and very helpful. Drinks were on point and reasonably priced. Same with food, reasonably priced for the quality and attention to details. Loved how the sushi rolls and Nigiri's were light on rice without even needing to tell them. Obviously taylored to BH! Nigiri's were my favorite followed by the two roles, either Onyx or Ruby, but I can't remember which one was which in the photos. Diamond roll was pretty cool too on the looks, but I liked the other 2 rolls better in terms of taste. Music later in the evening was the cherry on top and I loved the EDM tracks that the DJ was playing. Such a cool vibe that I didn't want to leave!! They did a pretty cool birthday dessert for me. That was fun. Crowd was very decent and overall everything was more than five stars. Will want to come back really soon!!!

A solid 4/5 overall! We had a reservation for a Saturday evening at 6pm. Parking in the area was tough, we ended up parking across the street for a $15 flat fee (that's if you pay with cash, otherwise it's $20 with a credit card). Service was impeccable: 5/5 Atmosphere was good, minus some obnoxious influencers who kept taking pictures and videos and were talking loudly. I was also hoping for more French influence since that's how the restaurant was advertised (Japanese + French inspiration): 4/5 LOVED our Tokyo Mule and Yuzu Margarita: 5/5 Smashed cucumber salad was fire: 5/5 The rest of the food was 3/5: the 9-piece nigiri, hand rolls (toro, hamachi and spicy tuna) and A5 Wagyu tartare were good but nothing outstanding. I couldn't tell it was A5 Wagyu meat, I would've given it a 4 if it was just regular meat. Since it said "A5 Wagyu", I had higher expectations. The toasted bread that came with it, however, was so good we ordered some more! I don't know if I'll be back but I think it's still good spot to check out whether it's for a date, anniversary or you just want to enjoy some drinks and bites with your friends.

Went here for dinner on Saturday night. I was looking for a nice and lively ambiance with good sushi . This place definitely didn't disappoint. They had DJ and very nice music was playing in the background. We got there around 8 with reservation and were seated right away. I loved their menu. It had very unique items. We got the spicy tuna appetizer, the DIY hand roll and the jewelry box. All were nicely presented and very generous portions. Service was great and friendly. Everything was so delicious and fresh. These items were all we had and couldn't even finish the DIY. For dessert, we ordered the black sesame cream brûlée. (Could not taste black sesame that much but it was delicious) . They also gave us complementary mochi for my birthday occasion. I will definitely go back here. Structure Parking is available right next door and $5 flat fee.

Had an amazing night at Jade Beverly Hills. The atmosphere was phenomenal..elegant, vibrant, and perfect for a night out. They also had a DJ playing great music, which really elevated the whole experience. Great energy, beautiful setting, and definitely a spot I'd come back to.

Update- was really looking forward to dinner at Chubby Curry. My friends and I have patronized this…read moreplace since it opened. It was our go-to place for almost two years. We hadn't been in about 6 months and decided to drop in for dinner before a movie- Wow, has it changed- and not in a good way. There were fewer staff and they were spread thin, with not even half the tables full. The place was a little unkept. The menu is all digital- so we had some questions ordering our favorites. We got the Wagu steak with rice and curry and the breaded chicken breast. When the Wagu arrived it was unrecognizable- brown and looked over cooked - no pink. The entire dish was completely unappetizing. It was sad looking. I tried to show the server that this looked nothing like the menu photos in the front wall. He was already flustered and told me "to calm down ma'am" and that is "how it comes- we put soy sauce on it." The calm down nonsense was a real put off. My next question was, why is a restaurant putting soy sauce on perfect Wagu? None of the menu photos show soy sauce. We have never had soy sauce drenched Wagu here ever. The amount of soy sauce - if any-- is up to the guest. We all have our sodium preferences, right? I personally liked their Wagu plate as is. I tried to get the server to follow me to the front wall to show him the photo of all their Wagu dishes on their front wall and he was really not happy. Those photos were how their food always looked- fresh- colorful and delicious looking. The comparison was stunningly different- he would not hear it - and was visible upset with me. Sending this back caused quite a problem- more like an argument with the server who insisted this is how Wagu comes. It does not and I posted a review previously with photos from several visits to this once fun to eat at place. They offered to remake it and I caught the server and chef's convo. Chef was bewildered with the whole no soy sauce thing. The server came back with a small piece of Wagu in a service cup to show me what their Wagu looked like before the soy sauce bath. It was not the bright fresh pink. It was gray, like it had been prepped a couple days ago and refrigerated. Completely unacceptable and not appetizing. I told them to please not remake it. It would be a waste and please Just remove it and we'd order something else. The server was so upset with me he told me he would remove everything and not charge us at all. I felt that was unfair to the restaurant and his attitude was like don't order anything, and do not come back. My guy friend insisted that we pay and the server came back with a bill for just the chicken. I gave him cash for everything we ordered including the Wagu, and he brought me almost all the money back. I was particularly insulted by this. This was such negative energy- I did not want to touch it. I left all the money on the table and left. Message to the owner- replacing servers with digital menus does not lessen their work. it increases their time explaining what dishes are and how dishes come. You need more people because servers have more work in less time. I really felt for this server and did not feel any of this was his fault. The quality drop in food, the excess work due to digital menus, and food not matching the promises made in photos at the front wall from opening day are not your server's fault. We were expecting the same consistency and were sadly disappointed. We will not be returning.

The katsu was crispy and flaky - so that was a plus. Most of the dishes are kind of pricey in my opinion. I am not one of those people but I do understand the sentiment. When a restaurant becomes an institution there is always the risk that it coasts. So I will say this clearly. It is not coasting. We came on a Friday night, reservation made weeks in advance because my assistant knows better than to leave it last minute. The room has this energy that I find difficult to describe to someone who has not been. It is lively without being loud. There is money in that room but it does not announce itself and I find that refreshing. I spend enough time around people who need to be seen. We ordered omakase style and let the kitchen guide us and this is absolutely the correct way to experience Matsuhisa. The black cod with miso is legendary for a reason and I do not typically enjoy when a dish lives so heavily in its own reputation. This one earns it every single time. The yellowtail with jalapeño is another dish that sounds simple until you taste how balanced it actually is. There is real technique beneath what looks effortless and I respect that enormously. My husband had the sake pairing and was very pleased. I stayed with a Burgundy I brought because I called ahead and the corkage situation was handled gracefully and without attitude. That matters to me more than people might expect. Where I have mixed feelings is the service. Our server was warm and knowledgeable but the pacing between a few of the courses was uneven in a way I noticed. It did not ruin the evening but at this price point and this level of reputation it is the kind of thing that should not happen. Nobu Matsuhisa built something real here and it shows. This is not a restaurant riding on nostalgia. It is a restaurant that still has something to prove and mostly succeeds.

For me, the experience was less successful mainly because of the fish dishes. The flavors felt too strong, and some of the dishes gave me the feeling that the fish was not handled or seasoned properly, which affected my enjoyment of the meal. I was expecting more balanced and fresh flavors. On the positive side, there were a few dishes I did enjoy. The mushroom salad was very good, and the cucumber salad was fresh and enjoyable as well. Those were the highlights of the meal for me personally. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant, the place itself looked nice, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Still, overall, the food did not really suit my taste, so for me it was an average experience rather than one of the better restaurants I've been to

This location actually had the Hirame sushi which was so exciting since we haven't been able to get it at any other locations in years since it's always sold out. The service was quick and they were kind. I will say the busier it got the less attentive they were and forgot to fill our water and ginger. Though I love sugarfish, the proximity of your table to others will always be really uncomfortable and awkward for me as people literally have to press up against your table to sit in the booth directly next to you which has always been really weird to me. But the food was great as always. It's sadly over $100 for us to get the trust me and nozawa trust me which feels pretty high but the quality of fish is always exceptional.

Didn't like the sushi, sushi rice was under cooked, I had the grains in my mouth, def needed 3-5 minutes longer. Sushi quality wasn't bad but also not the very best I ever had. I feel like that sushi place is on a diet very bland, nothing special on the menu...def not coming back and sad about the 180$ I wasted. A place that can't get their sushi rice in order is not worth a star.

Chirashi - the fish is QUALITY. 2 types of each fish, so it's still shareable with a friend. Standouts: their Uni was so creamy and fresh. Also loved the kanpachi pieces - firm and flavorful. Hamachi was also so buttery and fresh. The Miso Chilean Seabass skewers were the best. So tender, soft and grilled and marinated perfectly. What a nice thick satisfying chunk. This is a must order. Pressed sushi - these are hard to find outside of Vancouver so it was a delight to see them! We had the salmon and hamachi version. Loved that the Hamachi had a delicious spicy kick to it! The matcha mochi chocolate cake was so soft, gooey with strong matcha flavor! Great way to end the meal. It's on a poppin street on West Hollywood. We walked to Dayglow for matcha and the Pacific Design Center for inspiration.

It has the warm, welcoming feel of a family-owned business. We ordered the Kiss of Fire roll, spicy tuna roll, and a selection of nigiri (I've attached photos of all of them). Everything was delicious and clearly made with very high-quality fish. On top of that, it's incredibly well-priced compared to nearby alternatives. Excellent value for the quality. We will definitely be returning!

I was afraid that everything was going to be extremely heavy, like French cuisine can be with all the cheese and butter. But I ordered the Combo of the Lemon Butter Chicken Ramen and a side of the Miso Teri Bowl (in case the ramen would be too much for me), and I was blown away by both dishes. The Lemon Butter is NOT heavy at all. It felt light and savory, but had a depth of flavor that's hard to identify because this is a dish I have never had anywhere else before. I can see why it's the most popular item on the menu. I took the side of Miso Teri Bowl home for dinner as the ramen was filling enough. There's a hint of wasabi in the dressing they drizzle over the shredded green onions that elevate this dish from other Teriyaki Chicken bowls I've had. Just DELICIOUS. I'd come back to Tonsho just for this rice bowl. My friend got the Dan Dan Ramen which he said blew his mind. He was surprised by the lightness of the broth, which is unlike the Chinese Dan Dan which is usually made of heavy creamy sesame paste. He actually drank most of the broth, and didn't feel like he was cheating on his diet. Additionally, the design of the restaurant, from the layout to the choice of bowls and utensils reminded me of a certain 2-Michelin Star restaurant in Culver City. The service was bar none. The waitress was attentive and thoughtful, even getting us a glass of water after we had been sitting there for another hour after paying our check. We never felt rushed or pushed out. Five stars, period. Coming back for more.

We tried three types of noodles: the Dandan, The Original, and The Veggie. The Dandan and The Original were both pretty good -- light, refreshing, and well-balanced. The Veggie was a bit too salty for my taste, with a stronger flavor and a slight herbal taste in the broth. Overall, we had a great experience and were very satisfied with our meal.
