I've been to several unique themed restaurants before that get a lot of attention for the decor and vibe but then lack in quality and flavor of food. Jade excelled in both! Named a Japanese Brassierie with Japanese cuisine with a French flair (two of my favorite styles), this gorgeous spot is a must-try. The interior is beautifully decorated and clean-- very stylish and not cheesy or gaudy. It has a low-light, "lo-fi" vibe. They also have a piano in the center of the room and a live DJ. I tried the jewelry bowl chirashi which was fresh and delicious. I didn't each much rice (didn't want to fill up) but they don't give you too much anywayl-- the focus is on the fish and roe anyway. Roe was quite salty but good to balance it out with the other items in the box including the Perilla leaf (don't just eat the roe on it's own). My friend ordered the Onyx and the black ink sauce complemented the rich umami flavor. I think our favorite though was the Hamachi crudo (I love hamachi anyway) but it had a great sweet&sour sauce with crunchy garlic oil. There were chunks of pineapple that added a zesty-ness and lastly, the wakame mellowed out the flavor nicely. The slices of fish were a bit tricky to pick up with metallic chopsticks though, even for a seasoned chopstick user like myself -- so that was amusing. Lastly, they have such a unique dessert menu. We got 2 desserts: Ichigo meringue, and black sesame creme brulee. The creme brulee was INCREDIBLE. I'm not kidding--you gotta get it! It's so delicious (not too sweet) and topped with sliced blueberries that complemented the sweetness so well! And finally, our server was so nice enough to bring a pretty gold bowl with lid with mochi ice cream and strawberries for my birthday. There was a candle slot in the lid too! For their seasonal wine, I tried the Beaujolais and it did not disappoint. Service was good-- no issues there. Staff really look out for you and make sure all your needs there are met. For the location, parking is street and also a lower level parking garage (just $5 though I think) - lovely area (I mean, it's Beverly Hills..). All in all, Jade is great. Lives up to its reputation in quality and style.

The sushi is BOMB! It's super fresh, and every single bite feels like a new flavor experience. We got the spicy tuna hand rolls, the Jade roll, the Sapphire roll, and a couple sides. The decor is gorgeous with their koi fish ceilings and upscale moody lighting. Plus, our service was fantastic!

This place has been on my list for awhile , we walked into Jade on a Saturday night with no reservation and were pleasantly surprised they were able to seat us at the bar. Honestly best decision! The bar has such a great vibe... intimate, stylish, and perfect for watching the chef work while enjoying a drink. Our bartender was amazing he was super friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful with recommendations. Drinks were great too: balanced, refreshing. Met the owner who was there drying dishes and working right along side everyone else. The restaurant itself is small, cozy, and really cute, giving it that tucked-away, elevated hidden-gem feel. It's perfect for a date night, a chill dinner, or even bringing a small group for a fun night out. They let us know that on some nights they have live music, which would be a great addition. We ordered: Multiple hand rolls ,fresh, flavorful, and made right in front of us. Mushroom appetizer - warm, savory, and packed with umami. So good! Crudo appetizer - beautifully plated and super fresh. Everything tasted amazing and was presented with so much detail. We would absolutely come back again. Jade is the perfect blend of great food, great energy, and great service. Highly recommend! (Photos of some of the dishes we ordered included below. )

We happened to be in Beverly Hills and I wanted to try out this restaurant. Jade is beautiful inside. It takes you to an art deco jade colored haven. We had reservations and got right in. I love how comfy the chairs are. Our waitress brought us water and our drinks that we ordered quickly. There was a wonderful piano player singing while we were there. I liked her music. We got the Tokyo mule and Beverly blossom. Both were delicious. We got there at happy hour, so many of the items we tried were cheaper than the dinner rush. We ordered spicy tuna crisp and the wagu Gyoza. Both were absolutely delicious. We also ordered the diamond roll which was perfect. All the flavors were amazing. We ordered the mango mochi and meringue desserts to try out after. If you havnt been to Jade yet, you have to try it out. It's a great date night spot or even a girls night out spot.

My husband and I visited Jade Beverly Hills on New Year's Eve. We read online that it would be open until very late with a DJ to ring in the new year. Overall, the restaurant is lovely with great decor, small and cozy. Since we came here on New Year's Eve and they were hosting the event, perhaps the restaurant was a bit disorganized. My guess is that given the higher number of people coming in, a different menu, and a late night, there was more stress and confusion among the restaurant staff. The prix fix menu was delightful and offered a variety of choices. I don't consume any seafood, so it was wonderful to see other intriguing dishes. My only complaint is that they seemed to be rushing us with the menu. They would barely allow us time to enjoy our plate when the next one was already at the table. I think they overbooked themselves and were trying to make things go faster. My absolute favorite was the momiji jidori chicken. Oh my goodness it was cooked to perfection! This is probably the most delicious, tender, and juicy chicken I've ever had. The momiji marinade that accompanied the chicken was the best part. It was a spicy and citrus sauce that really added a nice touch. My second favorite was the dessert. I got the hojicha cheescake. It was fluffy, soft, and it had a melt-in-your-mouth texture! Add some citrus cookie crumble that came on top to your bite, and you were in dessert heaven. I was looking forward to the wagyu crispy rice, but the texture was not good at all. I was disappointed when I requested this option and our waitress informed me that the rice was overcooked, making it extremely chewy and hard. Since I don't eat seafood, the other options on the menu were not appropriate for me, so I went ahead with the crispy rice regardless. They were indeed very chewy and sometimes hard to eat. The flavor was still there, however, which made it even more disappointing because this would have been one of my favorites. We were looking forward to the party aspect with a DJ that was advertised online. Turns out the DJ is the owner or manager of the restaurant, and it really sounded like an amateur DJ. There were some odd mixes and drops in the music played that night. I think Jade has potential for becoming a late night bar or even a nightclub, but please hire a professional DJ!

A solid 4/5 overall! We had a reservation for a Saturday evening at 6pm. Parking in the area was tough, we ended up parking across the street for a $15 flat fee (that's if you pay with cash, otherwise it's $20 with a credit card). Service was impeccable: 5/5 Atmosphere was good, minus some obnoxious influencers who kept taking pictures and videos and were talking loudly. I was also hoping for more French influence since that's how the restaurant was advertised (Japanese + French inspiration): 4/5 LOVED our Tokyo Mule and Yuzu Margarita: 5/5 Smashed cucumber salad was fire: 5/5 The rest of the food was 3/5: the 9-piece nigiri, hand rolls (toro, hamachi and spicy tuna) and A5 Wagyu tartare were good but nothing outstanding. I couldn't tell it was A5 Wagyu meat, I would've given it a 4 if it was just regular meat. Since it said "A5 Wagyu", I had higher expectations. The toasted bread that came with it, however, was so good we ordered some more! I don't know if I'll be back but I think it's still good spot to check out whether it's for a date, anniversary or you just want to enjoy some drinks and bites with your friends.

Had an awesome time at Jade on a Saturday night celebrating my birthday with friends. Tried a variety of rolls, Nigiri, and appetizers. Everything was delicious and made to perfection at the same time as having artistic touches. Loved it. I wasn't expecting a sushi place in Beverly Hills to be so much fun. Our server was a lady from France. She was super sweet and very helpful. Drinks were on point and reasonably priced. Same with food, reasonably priced for the quality and attention to details. Loved how the sushi rolls and Nigiri's were light on rice without even needing to tell them. Obviously taylored to BH! Nigiri's were my favorite followed by the two roles, either Onyx or Ruby, but I can't remember which one was which in the photos. Diamond roll was pretty cool too on the looks, but I liked the other 2 rolls better in terms of taste. Music later in the evening was the cherry on top and I loved the EDM tracks that the DJ was playing. Such a cool vibe that I didn't want to leave!! They did a pretty cool birthday dessert for me. That was fun. Crowd was very decent and overall everything was more than five stars. Will want to come back really soon!!!

AMBIENCE: (5/5) - Gorgeous place that's perfect for a holiday such as Valentine's day. Very girly and floral so it's a great setting for a girl's night out too. - The ceiling lights up and twinkles, thought that was cute. SERVICE: (5/5) - Made reservations for Galentine's day and they had our table ready right away even though it was super busy and it's a small spot. - Food came at perfect timing and the courses were smoothly following one after another. FOOD/DRINKS: (4.5/5) - Amuse Bouche (5/5): Scallop cooked to perfection sitting on top of a yuzu mayo sauce that I could honestly dip anything in and eat straight. The picked ginger added a nice refreshing punch to the dish. - Sashimi Pizza (4/5): Nice coverage of sashimi so they did not skimp. Lost a star as the tostada didn't seem like it was very fresh or maybe pre-made? They made up for it with the truffle drizzle and the dollops of caviar on top. - Yellowfin Tuna Tataki (5/5): Solid for a tataki and they got me again with that yuzu truffle combo in the sauce. - Kakuni Braised Short Ribs (4/5): The meat melted to the bone and had just the perfect amount of fat ratio. A little on the saltier side, esp the bok choy. - Sesame Creme Brulee (5/5): First bite wasn't too mind blowing but this is a dish that grows on you. As you continue to endulge the sesame flavor start to come through more. It was also the first time I've had this flavor of creme brulee so points for the creativity. OVERVIEW: (4.5/5) - Overall the food was good but I do think it is a little over priced as the bill was similar to what I have paid for Michelin crowned restaurants. We did come during a holiday pre-fix menu so that might be why it would be more expensive. At least the food was solid.

Went here for dinner on Saturday night. I was looking for a nice and lively ambiance with good sushi . This place definitely didn't disappoint. They had DJ and very nice music was playing in the background. We got there around 8 with reservation and were seated right away. I loved their menu. It had very unique items. We got the spicy tuna appetizer, the DIY hand roll and the jewelry box. All were nicely presented and very generous portions. Service was great and friendly. Everything was so delicious and fresh. These items were all we had and couldn't even finish the DIY. For dessert, we ordered the black sesame cream brûlée. (Could not taste black sesame that much but it was delicious) . They also gave us complementary mochi for my birthday occasion. I will definitely go back here. Structure Parking is available right next door and $5 flat fee.

I'm not sure how I really feel about this place. It's chic and great for instagram. Service was ok. We overheard our waitress ask the busser why he gave us water. She wanted us to buy expensive bottle water instead. Which is fine we were going to get sparkling anyway. Just weird. The food was tasty. The presentation was beautiful. 5 stars for the food. The DJ was crazy loud so after 9 you can't even talk. We all left confused if we just left a club or dinner.

What a hidden gem in Beverly Hills! First off, they have free parking (yes, free, for 2 hours!) which is basically unheard of around BH. It's $5 flat after 6pm. Also, wild! I was already impressed before walking in, but it only got better. The sushi was fresh and beautifully prepared, and the happy hour? Truly unbeatable. Great prices, generous portions, and top-tier quality. It was fresh fresh!! LOL. The staff were amazing, so warm and welcoming, and the vibe was relaxed but still chic. Special shoutout to the head chef Ronaldo. He saw us literally cheesy, whilst we watched him making the rolls and he introduced himself. I felt like a regular on my first visit. Whether you're popping in for happy hour or settling in for a full dinner, this place seriously delivers. I highly recommend getting the entire Happy Hour menu! It's around $100. Not too shabby right?! And you get to try all the goodies. My favorite roll was the Onyx and ruby. My parents are visiting in two months, can't wait to show this place off.

Introduction: Prior to coming here my family and I dined at…read moreCrustacean and the culinary execution left a favorable impression on me; therefore when Da Lat Rose opened, I know I have to give it a try especially when on the website it states each course on the menu bears a symbolic meaning in relation to the chef's life. Considering there are about twelve courses, I will only talk about the highlights of the evening. Food: Razor clam with herb butter: The clam is fresh and sweet. The herb butter is fragrant and rich but in a delicate, good way. I have tried razor clams at other locations such as on the beach, at Thai and high-end Cantonese seafood restaurants but none comes close to what is offered at Da Lat Rose. At most other places the razor clam's flavor is lackluster and the texture is flaccid. Bamboo rice with chicken oyster: The chicken oyster is smooth, mellow, lightly fatty and very tender. I like the fact the chicken oyster has strong lemongrass flavor [I am a sucker for lemongrass]. The bamboo rice is fragrant and flavorful. If given the choice, this will be my ideal breakfast for the morning. Customize banh mi with mini vegetables, charcuterie, pate, and agave butter: The bread is fresh, chew,, and soft in texture. The charcuterie pairs well with both the pate and agave butter depending on the respective charcuterie meat. The slice of terrine goes well with the pate while the pork loaf pairs well with the agave butter since it's inherently delicate in flavor and the sweetness from the agave butter goes great with it. Get a piece of the bread, vegetable, pate/agave butter and charcuterie all in one bite and there's a sense of balance and wholesomeness to it. The robust earthiness of the pate, the sweetness from the agave butter and vegetables, and the light smokiness from the charcuterie all blends well together without conflict. Red tile fish fried in 400 degrees oil: The puffed up scales reminds me of Sichuan's sizzling rice. The fish, I am surprised, that after being doused with oil that's 400 degrees, the fish is still very tender and wholesome. Garlic noodles with Santa Barbara uni and 24K gold flake: The uni imparts a light creamy texture to the noodles with a hint of sweetness. Normally I don't like uni but the uni that's used at Da Lat Rose is of excellent quality: the uni is neither mushy nor does one see the purple veins that are often seen at other establishments. In terms of the noodles I like how the taste of lemongrass overshadows that of the garlic. Activated charcoal rice with quail egg, and braised pork cheek: The charcoal rice is rich in flavor. The flower petals, I have been told, are actually caramelized thin slices of mushrooms and they taste like crab apples. The braised pork cheeks are satisfyingly fatty, tender, and simply delicious. Dessert: Tapioca in coconut milk with coconut sorbet, rambutan, lychee, mango, and dragon fruit: This dessert is fragrant, light, smooth, and delicate. It embodies the indigenous flavors of Southeast Asia well. Every spoonful, as I'm tasting the fruits, reminds me of the warm and humid climate there and how the juices from these fruits are often the best thirst quenchers when one's in such an environment. Soursop granita: Soursop is a kind of tropical fruit most Asian children will have encountered at some point in their life. It is green and spiky, bearing white flesh with a custardy texture. The flavors and its sweetness slightly resembling guava but for the most part it is hard to describe; however, as soon as one takes a bite out of it he or she will unmistakably know what it is. Ambiance: Contemporary, elegant, and upscale. Service: I like to take this opportunity to thank two gentlemen: Jason and the general manager, Thomas. Both are knowledgeable, candid, and attentive throughout the duration of the evening; they make me feel welcomed throughout the course of the meal. The level of their service and professionalism is hard to come by. Price: Considering the quality of the ingredients that are used, the culinary execution, and the level of service, the price here is reasonable. Overall: In LA there are pho restaurants, banh mi, com tam [broken rice] shops etc. Although these establishments are good at what they do, they each specialize in a different aspect of Vietnamese cuisine. At Da Lat Rose chef Helene An and her staff presents a more comprehensive presentation of Vietnamese cuisine. Da Lat Rose is the first of their kind and they're doing a splendid job.

I ended up parking a few blocks away. Once inside, the only way to order was through a kiosk -- so much for asking questions. I also realized that you're actually ordering from two different restaurants on the same system. I entered my order for the grilled cheese sandwich, but when I backed out to the main menu to add the wings, the order was canceled and I had to start over. When I tried to order the wings again, the kiosk kept giving me an error and wouldn't process it and at the end of the transactions, I was asked, how much do I want to tip? There are only a handful of seats inside and a bench out front. The tables were filthy. I had the bulgogi grilled cheese sandwich and my partner ordered the Korean BBQ chicken wings. We both agreed the food was good, but it felt pricey for what we got. Driving home, my thought was simple: good food, but not an experience that makes me want to come back.

A very small restaurant along 3rd ave in the Beverly Grove area. Only metered-street parking…read moreavailable. The outside of the restaurant is nicely decorated, so it's easy to spot. The music they were playing was too loud to enjoy a meal there, so I got it to-go. You can order online, at the kiosk tablet or talk with a staff member to place your order. Right off the bat, I noticed that they do not list the price of the menu items on the menu. I ordered 2 tacos (Galbi and the Bulgogi) and OMGEE, my eyes were shocked to see the bill of $37.13. Anyway, since it's my 1st time here, I thought, "ok, let's just try it and see if the quality and/or portion justifies the price. 1. Galbi Tacos (3.5/5): Galbi is basically marinated short ribs that's diced up. The flavor of the meat itself was good - tender, flavorful and slightly charred. It is topped heavily with a bed of Cole slaw, onion, cilantro and some creamy, tangy mayo-like sauce. I think the amount of toppings outweigh the meat portions, so it's not well-balanced at all. 2. Bulgogi Tacos (3.5/5) Rating the bulgogi meat itself, I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars, as the thinly sliced rib eye was marinated well in the bulgogi seasoning, which is umami-rich, garlicky and nutty from the sesame oil & sesame seeds. Like the other taco, the ratio of meat to toppings (slaw, onion, cilantro) is off. Of note, the corn tortilla for the tacos were very dry and easily tore apart, so it made eating the tacos super messy and quite a pain since they do not give you any utensils. I ended up ditching the taco shells and just eating the insides. Lastly, the limes they gave me with my tacos were completely dried, rendering them useless to dress my tacos (smirk). Even though each taco order comes with 2 tacos, $18/order for street-taco truck quality tacos and where the amount of Cole slaw outweighs the amount of meat ... this is just a bit too much. Sorry to say, but I will not be coming back. There's too many other restaurants in the area competing for my business.
