I find Jack's food incredibly bland. Last nights Hunan Chicken lacked any semblance of taste, not to mention it was predominantly a thick, pasty sauce. The deserve every single star. From the time I walked in this establishment, I received nothing but top-notch service on Mother's Day, while dining with my daughter. The drink was incredible, I had a margarita. We shared a Pu Pu platter as an appetizer, and then ordered two orders of general Tso shrimp, a double order of spring rolls, one order of vegetable lo mein and an additional margarita . After reading the reviews we decided to give Jack's Fortune a try for lunch and I'm so glad we did. I have been searching for a Chinese restaurant that gave the dining experience I remembered from my childhood and this was it. The white table cloths, the real plates, the hot tea, and the decor was perfect. The attention to detail really set this restaurant apart. The service was great. We were greeted and seated as soon as we entered. There are both table and booth options. We opted for a booth by the window. From what I saw large or small groups can be accommodated. We were immediately served hot tea and water. A gentleman came to take our order shortly after that. Each staff member we interacted with was pleasant. We were checked on consistently and our drinks were refilled without even having to ask. We ordered the spring rolls, egg rolls, hot and sour soup, wonton soup, fried dumplings, hunan shrimp and kung pao lunch special. Everyone in our group was very satisfied with their food. Everything came out fast and was delicious. I'll comment on the items I had. The spring roll was crispy with crispy veggies and shrimp inside. The wonton soup was flavorful. It had smaller wontons with a flavorful broth and chopped green onions on top. The fried dumplings were good. They were big and filled with flavorful meat. They came with the usual sauce on the side. The hunan shrimp was my favorite. It had a tasty brown sauce, broccoli, mushrooms, onions, and (what I think) was cabbage (I could be wrong lol). I asked for extra spice which gave it a kick (if you're not into spicy it can be prepared mild upon request). Each main dish came with fried rice. The kung pao lunch special came with a soup and egg roll for a little over $10. We had a good experience at Jack's Fortune and we will be back regularly. Really very good Chinese food. Four of us shared three entrees and had plenty. Not skimpy at all. One dollar up charge for brown rice. Soup cups are smaller than normal. One guest asked for a cup of vegetable soup and our waitress said NO only come in bowl. Nonetheless everything was very good. I was here for Sunday dinner and had an extremely bad experience. I needed to use the men restroom. The floor was sopping wet in the entire restroom. I am handicapped using a cane. I started to go in and nearly slipped and fell on the wet floor. Therefore I was unable to use the restroom like it was. I spoke to the manager regarding the problem and she blew me away not wanting to do anything about the situation. Very poor customer service and relation. read more

We were a party of 14; however, the service was seamless and efficient. We never wanted for a thing and our beverages were replenished without ever having to ask. The Jack's team treated us like VIPs. The food was perfect and very reasonable given the high quality. We had shrimp toast, egg and spring rolls, and various soups to start. They were all hits. Ordered a $100 carry out and picked up order. Specifically asked for sweet and sour sauce and the cashier/server picked up a handful of packaged sauce and put it in the bag. When we got to the house we realized it was Duck Sauce. Returned and explained to same person and asked for Sweet and Sour. She went through a routine and offered to get me some, I was willing to purchase it, but it would take 20 minutes, they were busy. I then asked for the manager and he wouldn't let me finish explaining he just said we don't sell S&S separate. There was steady traffic in and out on a Thursday evening, which seemed promising, and the place occupies a double storefront so there is plenty of seating. We had a nice corner booth. The service was friendly and they continued to be attentive throughout the meal, refilling beverages and checking on us. The menu is traditional Chinese American fare. We ordered wonton soup, spring rolls, chicken with broccoli, and mu shu chicken. All were tasty and attractively plated. There are no big surprises here, no spicy Szechuan dishes, etc. But if you are looking for solid, traditional Chinese, this place does that very nicely. read more

$100 of take out in the garbage. Absolutely everything takes burned. Spicy eggplant isnt spicy either it just takes like an extreme amount of ginger was used to cover the burn taste. The same with the Singapore noodles. My mouth is filmy from the amout of Madras curry powder used to cover the burn taste. I don't care how busy you are, try using clean pans. Your take out customers deserve food that isn't going directly in the garbage. I'd be less insulted if you just held me up and robbed me. It's so disrespectful.
