Beef Szechuan was half the container with fried rice filling the other half. Same with the lo Meir noodles. I prefer one entire container filled with the dish we ordered. I am writing this as a serious WARNING to anyone with food allergies. We ordered from Jack's Fortune and were extremely clear about our daughter's severe egg allergy. We asked the staff not once, not twice, but three separate times if the noodle dish contained egg, and we were explicitly assured every time that it was safe. Shortly after eating, our daughter became extremely ill. When we spoke to a manager, the response was shocking. Instead of taking ownership, they claimed they 'don't produce the noodles in-house' and therefore 'don't know if there is egg in them.' This is completely unacceptable. If you serve food, you are responsible for knowing what is in it. Ignorance is not an excuse when a guest's safety is on the line. It is negligent to assure a customer that food is safe when you simply do not know. We will be reporting this to the Health Department. read more

I personally think this is one of the better Chinese Restaurants in the Annapolis area. Everyone is very friendly and attentive. I've never had to wait for a table. I will say carry-out is not the same as dining in and they do not deliver which isn't always a bad thing. It stays pretty busy but my glass is never empty and the food comes out pretty quick. The dishes are a little pricey but everything is very fresh and the presentation is great. I love the hot and sour soup. The pepper steak and firecracker shrimp are my two favorites. I also like Jack's Fortune, the scallops are amazing and the shrimp are huge. The General Tso' is some of the best around. PF Changs really has nothing on Jack's. It may not look like anything special from the outside but inside you will find good food, good service and good people. read more

Wish I looked her first before coming to this restaurant. The other reviews did not reflect the most recent experiences by others. Both me and my daughter were berated by a mean, rude and arrogant waitress. She basically threw dishes at me. Both my dish and my daughter were extremely unhappy with inedible food. Hers was stringy, cold veggies and some thing that was supposed to be meat which had no flavor except old. Mine was bland and had a hint of dish water and cold veggies. When we complained the waitress grabbed her food, tasted it and said we had no taste and that we should never return. I was mortified. Had I tasted the 1.95 tiny cup of bland wonton soup first I would have stopped there. Lesson learned use yelp for accurate reviews! read more

But, golly, it was really decent and it was pretty much the best in the Crofton area! I always had good experiences with their service, too, regardless of picking up or delivery. They were usually really fast, as well... almost always beat their estimated time. My favorite dishes here were their soups, the pu-pu platter (great sample of their apps!), and the combo meals. They always packed them full of veggies and rice. I'm a steamed rice guy, but their fried rice was always pretty good. I was also a fan of their egg rolls.
