Pretty damn good. In the last few months I've had barbecue in Memphis, Kansas City, Texas and now...Seattle: certainly an outlier on the barbecue spectrum. At least for this style- Texas style...sort of a combo with both dry rub (Memphis style) and a kick ass sauce ala KC. It was excellent. We both wanted the ribs and brisket so we each got the 'double trouble' and got different sides...greens, cornbread, corn pudding and mashed potatoes. Oh yeah, we also got the fried pickle appetizer. The meat was perfectly done...tender and smoky. Each side was big, and flavorful. I especially liked the greens, my son said it was the best he'd had. Then they brought out the banana pudding. When the server put it on the table my son made a reference to a vampire movie we'd recently watched where the vampires could see the arteries in the necks of their victims and he made a motion to show that the banana pudding was almost pulsating on the table before us. We descended on that poor pudding like crazed nosferatu just awakening from a centuries long nap. Blood lust. It was so good. Gone in about 1 minute. Our evil souls were barely sated. Our thirst for banana pudding only temporarily slaked. The server joked that he's always wanted to bring in a boba straw for the stuff. It's good. Anyway- put this place on your list. Best bbq in Seattle? Maybe? This is a food genre that's important to me and I haven't yet seen better. $130 for two people with tip, wine and a take-home pudding.

If you're looking for Texas-style barbecue, Jack's BBQ is worth a try. Overall, everything was pretty solid and reasonably priced. They offer different combo options to choose from. For the brisket, they give you one fattier slice and another leaner slice. It was tender, though I wish it was a bit juicier. The ribs had great flavor, and the BBQ sauce was solid. The mac and cheese and cornbread were both really good, though I wasn't much of a fan of the coleslaw. Other than that, everything was enjoyable. Service was great and everyone was very friendly.

Came by and ate lunch today! Went to the bar and had great service and just chilling. Ate the chopped pork sandwich and it was great with collard greens to take home for later. Definitely had a Texas road house feel, served on metal trays with some extra jalapeño pepper slices.

shoutout to henry!!! it was my first time here and the experience exceeded expectations. i came with a friend and we were already excited because we have heard good things! the service was exceptional. henry was so sweet, took the time to thoroughly explain their menu and options, routinely checked in on us, gave us what we needed from beginning to end, and more! the brisket, rib, and sausages were delicious they have 2 types of sausages and we were able to have both in our orders of texas trinity the cornbread was my favorite side that we had the banana pudding was also enjoyable we happened to come during a football game and they had big tvs to watch my friend liked their mismatched chairs lol i would definitely recommend this restaurant and plan to come back to try more!

Jack's BBQ has everything I want from a BBQ place - a hearty, meat-heavy meal with a large variety of sides to complement. I came here with 3 friends the day after the Seahawks beat the 49ers in the divisional playoff. We had seen on their IG that the day after a Seahawks win, their "Jackson Smith N-brisket" burrito would be 50% off so we came by. We ordered the nachos, loaded fries, cornbread, and burrito. The nachos were crunchy, had good flavor, and paired well with both the salsa and queso provided. The fries were crispy, and the toppings complemented the base well. We devoured both of them quickly. The burrito was meaty as expected, but very flavorful. The brisket and jalapeño cheddar sausage were both prevalent and the queso helped tie it all together. Lastly, I loved the cornbread. The honey butter on top was the perfect touch. I really enjoyed the service and ambiance here as well. Typical rustic barbecue establishment with very friendly staff.

We walked in and were welcomed by a guy with a big hat and boots! Looks like we're in the right spot! Everything looked good so we just went with a couple Picnics for the family. That comes with Brisket, ribs, sausage and your choice of 2 sides. Brisket (4): Pretty tender. The smoke flavor was just okay. You can taste it and it was there, but it wasn't that strong. I like it strong. It was good though. Sausage (5): I was impressed with this. Smoke flavor came through well and the casing had a good pop to it. Ribs (3): Good flavors, but too much bite. I like more of a tender rib. Good smoke flavors though. They served all kinds of drinks from IPA's to whisky. Pick your poison to go with your meat. They give you a plate of pickles, onions, and jalapenos to pair with your meat along with some texas toast. Their sides were decent. I was surprised I liked their collard greens. I generally don't like that stuff. Overall, decent BBQ joint. They even have a large mirror over the slicing table so you can watch them slice up your brisket. I want to come when they have Beef ribs.

Hush puppies, Pork Ribs, Price per Pound, Pulled Pork 1/4 lb., Brisket 1/4 lb.

Stopped by on a Wednesday around 1pm. Parking lot, good atmosphere, friendly staff. We started with hushpuppies, then moved onto brisket, pulled pork, and pork ribs. Hushpuppies were fine, seemed pre-made and flash fried to reheat. We really enjoyed the 1/2 lb pork ribs, tender meat, which unfortunately solidified once it cooled (inevitable). Brisket wasn't toooo juicy or fatty, but possibly just the cut we got. Pulled pork was fine, pretty standard. Had leftovers between the two of us, but $70ish pre-tip seemed a bit steep for what we ordered. If we were to revisit, would not order the pulled pork, get pork ribs, and hope for fatty pieces of brisket.

Jack's is one of our favorites. We go a little crazy and order way too much food, but our son is thankful when we bring the leftovers home after our date night. The service can be a bit hit or miss, but when it's good, it's fantastic. We recently mentioned that we always wanted to try the Pecan pie but are always too full to order a slice. Our waitress gave us a piece to go on the house! She also mentioned the coupon on the to-go bag that customers always forget about which gives you a free order of hush puppies. Wish we got her name for this review. She's always so nice. Anyway, the hush puppies are pretty tasty and big! $9.00 for 9, but even better when they're free! The tarter sauce is especially good and goes well with them. The BBQ class is also pretty amazing if you ever have a chance to so it. It comes with free drinks and a large sampling of various meats. Only one thing left to try on the menu and that the beef rib. It's 1.5 to 2lb and I don't think it comes with a side for $69.00. I hear it's well worth it, but wish it did come with a side.

The wagu Fajitas are amazing.

As a top food critic traveling the US I must say the best BBQ place in town. The meat was smoked in a delicious rub and not a drop of BBQ sauce just the way I like it(on a diet) although I did not get to taste the spicy Caesar salad I was intrigued by it's uniqueness. The guys at the bar (Michael in particular) fit the cowboy part and provided such great service that made me and a coworker feel welcomed which few places do. It's a beautiful thing to give our hard earned cash to an establishment that welcomes all. Also the food was amazing!!! Happy hunting

Attending an event where Jack BBQ had all their catering items displayed and for us to try it out. Love the ambiance and the dj they hired for this tasting event. The food was delicious (the meats were juicy and flavorful), the display was unique, the service was friendly, and there was plenty of space to move around. Overall I had a wonderful time. Please check them out if you are looking for bbq.

Amazing , amazing , amazinggg! I wanted to start off with just wow, the customer service and experience I had at this location was absolutely amazing. Every single worker in this restaurant was so friendly so sweet & so respectful! The energy was just great! Me and my boyfriend went earlier today, food was soooooo tasty, juicy & seasoned to perfection! I had the NEW YORK STEAK!! As a New Yorker missing home I decided to get that steak , I got my steak medium well! Best choice I made than my sides were the garlicky mash potatoes & Mac and cheese! When I tasted the food my mouth instantly started watering , I truly loved the food I received today! And my boyfriend had the ribs , Mac and cheese with chili , he loved it so much! Our waiter taking our order his name I hope I remember correctly, his name is Jake ! I know it started with a J , he provided phenomenal service, just so genuine and real! He completely loves what he does and I truly respect and appreciate everything he done for us today. Deserts and my manhattan drink was great! I even loved how the chef came out checking up on everyone making sure everyone was loving the food he cooked! That's a true chef right there. PROPS TO EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THIS LOCATION ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION! I will DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK TO THIS LOCATION! I hope each and every worker reads this review knows they are the best and keep being you guys and each and everyone of you deserve a raise! Keep being amazing !

There's street parking and the restaurant is clean, spacious, and it's got charm. Service was quick and staff were very helpful! I will say the beef cheeks and beef rib are very rich and fatty but they were delicious! The corn was okay but I really liked the lemon poppy slaw! I had the brisket plate, which came with cornbread and a couple sides of my choosing - which were mac & cheese and jerk pork fried rice. Also had a jerk chicken leg. The main part of this is obviously the brisket. Unlike your American brisket, which is smoked dry until it holds its shape in slices, the brisket here seemed to have braising included, which yields itself to the much darker color, likely from sugar caramelization. It was slightly disappointing though, as most pieces were pretty lean. While I wouldn't call them super dry, they were certainly lacking some flavor. There was a couple pieces that were fatty, but the rest of the eating experience consisted of pulling strands of meat apart from each other rather than being able to chomp down and let your teeth do the work. You needed to dip this in the sweet barbecue-like sauce to get the best flavor. As for the sides, the mac and cheese was very creamy, but the pasta felt a bit too soft. I liked the slight amount of pepper added, but thought there could've been more. On the jerk pork fried rice, the rice was good, but it didn't seem like they put much effort in the pork here - it was pretty dry. The cornbread was amazing though. It's some of the best cornbread I've had. Amazingly moist and breaks apart so easily. I was pretty happy I got the jerk chicken leg. This meat was a lot better in my opinion. The level of seasoning is perfect - the spicy, smoky jerk flavor permeates every inch of the chicken skin. The extremely spicy and mouth-shocking dark jerk sauce that comes with this is sure to give you a jolt as well. I would say this is expensive - but not crazy. The jerk chicken is priced well at around $7, and you do get a ton of food for the $30 or so that the barbecue plate will cost you. The plate is easily enough for two people. Overall, I'd say it's solid barbecue with an inventive spin, but nothing crazy. 7.75/10

They have…read morelocations in South Lake Union (SLU), SODO, Columbia Tower, Bellevue/Redmond, Algona, Lakewood, and Federal Way. I have been to both their SLU and SODO locations. Their claim to fame is that "BBQ Sauce isn't needed - the meat is amazingly delicious!" However, they always provide BBQ sauce at the table and sell bottles of their BBQ sauce to take home, so not entirely sure how much they believe in their saying... On my most recent visit to the SLU location, a large group of co-workers and I went out for a celebratory occasion and ordered the: - SMOKED SWEET TEA ($4.50) - smoked brown sugar, simple syrup, and iced tea. This also comes as a cocktail with vodka ($14.50). This drink was honestly just alright and I probably wouldn't get it again personally. It had a slightly savory and smoky after taste, but kind of tasted like you just put a few drops of liquid smoke in the drink. - BUTTERMILK HUSHPUPPIES ($9) - golden brown and piping hot (like literally straight out of the fryer!) served with tartar sauce and honey butter. While they were super fresh and hot hot hot, they were a bit too dense for my preference. It was worth a try, but I would just stick with the regular buttermilk cornbread instead. - LONESTAR FRIES LOADED WITH QUESO AND BEEF BACON ($14.50) - french fries coated in velveta cheese with crumbles of bacon on top. One of my co-workers wanted to give this a try, so wasn't my choice or pick, but this appetizer was also pretty rich and dense. I also would not order this again as I found it too salty. - PICNIC ($98 - enough for four or more people to share!) - brisket, ribs, sausage, pulled pork, chicken, white bread, homemade pickles, jalapeños, and four sides. For sides, we chose the REMOULADE COLESLAW, BUTTERMILK CORNBREAD, QUESO MAC N CHEESE, and SWEET CORN PUDDING. Because there were 8+ of us, we upgraded the side sizes to 12-oz for $8, as part of the picnic deal. We additionally got a side of WAGYU BRISKET (a Wednesday-only special). - BRISKET/ WAGYU BRISKET - tasty, but surprisingly was on the drier side. I don't know if I really could tell the difference between the Wagyu and their normal brisket. I was expecting a much more moist piece of meat, but seemed kind of lean. - RIBS - these were my favorite in the basket. Sweet, juicy, and falls right off the bone! - SAUSAGE - they give you two types to try - spicy and cheese-filled. The spicy has jalapeño in it and definitely has a small kick. The cheese-filled is mild and slightly saltier. - PULLED PORK - also on the saltier side, but at least it's relatively moist and pre-shredded. - CHICKEN - mostly dark meat (which is my preference), but can't say there's really anything special about their marinade. Nothing to write home about here. - REMOULADE COLESLAW - your standard shredded cabbage coated in a sweet and slightly peppery and tangy mayonaise dressing. No complaints here. - BUTTERMILK CORNBREAD - this side is an ABSOLUTE MUST. My co-workers and I were blown away by how good the cornbread was here. It comes with a dollop (more like a scoop) of butter drizzled with honey, but even on it's own, it was absolutely amazing. It was crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, like a good cake. - QUESO MAC N CHEESE - This side was evidently rich, but less rich than the Lonestar fries. It was creamy, savory, and came with a sprinkle of breadcrumbs on top. I liked that they used spiral macaroni as opposed to your typical half tube macaroni as it gave more texture and chew to the dish. - SWEET CORN PUDDING - I thought I would've liked this one more, but similar to the hush puppies, this dish was also too dense for my liking. However, it was a nice and sweet complement to the mostly savory dishes otherwise. **TLDR- for mains sides (as I've basically tried them all at both locations), I would recommend the ribs, buttermilk cornbread, remoulade coleslaw, Gramma's collard greens, and mustardy potato salad.** For dessert, we ordered one of everything off the menu and honestly, dessert was 10/10!: - PEACH COBBLER & ICE CREAM FOR TWO ($12) - this cobbler was fantastic. It was moist, gooey, and had the perfect amount of sweetness. It was served warm and the ice cream just melted right into it! - PECAN PIE -1996 TEXAS STATE FAIR CHAMP, ALA MODE ($9.50) - this pie was fantastic too. It was sticky, chewy, buttery, and everything a good pecan pie should be. No wonder it was a prize-winning dessert! - BANANA PUDDING WITH NILLA WAFERS ($6.50) - this pudding was creamy, rich, and full of bananas and whipped cream with strong notes of vanilla. The nilla wafers offered a nice crunch and love how they crumbled some on top of the pudding too! Service was wonderful and we got our food within 20 minutes after ordering. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly. Overall: 4/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere

I ordered the Double Trouble ($35.99) with brisket and ribs. We received three pork ribs and about 2 1/2 slices of brisket. The brisket had a nice smoke ring, but unfortunately it was dry. Since we ordered later in the evening, it may have simply been toward the end of the night and the brisket had been sitting for a while. The ribs were just okay. They weren't fall-off-the-bone tender, which doesn't bother me, but they were missing some flavor. The BBQ sauce actually saved the meats. It added some much-needed moisture to the brisket and gave the ribs a better flavor. The combo came with your choice of 2 sides, my wife picked collard greens and cornbread. I also added another order of collard greens ($6.49), ranch beans ($6.49), and the bread mix with white bread, pickled onions, homemade pickles, and jalapeños. The collard greens and ranch beans were both good, and I really liked the pickled onions and homemade pickles. My wife wasn't a fan of the cornbread because it was extremely sweet, she said it was more like cake than cornbread. For dessert, we ordered the Peach Cobbler ($13.99). It came baked in its own individual tin, but it wasn't what we expected. The flavor was okay, but the center was very doughy and seemed like it may have needed more time in the oven. Overall, the sides were the strongest part of the meal. Unfortunately, when I'm ordering BBQ, the meat has to be the star, and the brisket and ribs just didn't do it for us. Not terrible by any means, but based on this meal, it wouldn't be at the top of my list for BBQ.
