Their T shirts say "Be Nice!"--and at lunch today they could not have been nicer, nor could the food and service been any better. What a wonderful Maine Oceanside experience! Our server's suggestions were right on target and even though we (deliberately) ordered too much, everything was exactly what we wanted: a huge serving of steamers, a lobster roll that was chock full of delicious lobster, a seafood chowder that was--surprisingly--full of seafood! We have been here before, and we're a bit sorry that they no longer serve the stuffed lobster at lunch time. But we were definitely not disappointed: everything was more than we expected. This place was so average but the way they carry themselves and prices you would think that it's a five star establishment. I recently visited the restaurant with my wife and daughter who is 6 years old. We finished and sat on the near by benches to watch the sun go town, no more then 10 minutes after we paid out check, my daughter needed the restroom, mind you we paid 150$+ just 10 minutes prior, the gentleman working the kiosk was so rude when we tried to use the restroom, he wouldn't allow us to use bathroom because we were not customers. I was so flabbergasted by his rude tone and unwillingness to let a child use the facilities. He could not of been more an a**hole. I wish nothing but the worst for that man. Needless to say i will never go back to this spot just because of that man. read more

View is amazing, but after eating here for 7 years, we won't be back. Last year it seemed to go downhill a bit. We had a larger group so we were out back and ceiling fans weren't working last year. This year we returned on a very hot night and fans had not been fixed! Besides the lack of air flow, the service was horrible - took a very long time to get food that was only OK. We ended up getting our own silverware from another table and we all had seafood and needed tartar sauce which took 10min to arrive. We would have gotten that ourselves too if we could. View is beautiful but we won't drop $300 to have mediocre food and poor service. If they don't care enough to fix the ceiling fans in a place without AC, I question what other things are things are overlooked? read more

We are return customers and this experience was absolutely horrible ! The only thing this restaurant has going for it is the view ! We were very specific on the questions we asked when we ordered- are the Brussel sprouts plain ? Yes we were told !! ( ie the Brussel Sprouts are listed as crispy Brussel sprouts and came out swimming is some type of sauce ) - i ordered a salad with just cucumbers and lettuce with lobster and it came loaded with everything including onions - They took the salad back and never brought the correct salad back to the table - we were charged for a glass of wine that we never ordered - The waitress refused to take anything off the bill because there was no manager there in order to facilitate this ! Very bad experience and there should be a manager on site and staff should be trained properly on how to treat customers ! read more

The family and I stopped in after a walk on The Marginal Way. The waitress was fantastic, kept water glasses full, and was very attentive. We had clam chowder, lobster bisque, and calamari. The chowder and calamari were excellent. The bisque was good but I would've liked to see more lobster. We had a blackened chicken wrap, 2 cheeseburgers, an eggplant sandwich, and goat cheese/ricotta ball salad with chicken. The wrap and eggplant sandwiches got very good reviews from my family. The burgers were well seasoned, but one was a bit too well done for "medium." My daughter was also missing pickles for her burger. Why doesn't the restaurant have pickles? The goat cheese/ricotta ball salad was ok. I would have appreciated more goat cheese in the ball as it tasted like fried ricotta. The chicken on the salad was dry, and the salad overall could've used more dressing. The location is breathtaking, right on the ocean. We will try it again. read more

This is a a bit tricky. Thew view and location are spectacular, service is good, hostess very welcoming and Perkins Cove is just a great place to explore before or after your visit here. The food overall is good for a casual restaurant, but the prices evoke more fine dining and that is likely where some people become upset. On this last visit we tried the lobster bisque, which was tasty, but not of the caliber of a fine dining venue. The lobster grilled cheese had a generous portion of lobster for the price, especially these days, but the mashup of grilled cheese and lobster just didn't work for me. A bag of potato chips as a side might put some people off as well. We also visited in the spring and felt the same, but we've returned again and again. Overall I think you will enjoy your experience here better if you understand it is a more casual restaurant and not a fine dining affair. read more

Came to this spot after spending the day in Ogunquit at Footbridge Beach. It's nestled right in Perkin's cove where there are some small shops and a couple of places to get a bite to eat. The restaurant is right on the water, and if you are sitting outside, you have a beautiful ocean view. There was plenty of outside seating where there was an option of being in the sun or shade, which I appreciated on a hot sunny day! Started off with a painkiller. It hit the spot! Had clam chowder, crab cakes, and some steamers as a snack. The chowder was amazing. It was thick and creamy with great flavor. The crab cakes were delectable and paired with a delicious aioli. The tang balanced the crab for a flawless bite! Lastly served was a generous portion of steamers. Hot water to clean and plenty of drawn butter! Food Poisoning & Bad Service Restaurant was empty, hostess walked us in and sat us in the back. Every table was open. We politely requested if we could sit a few tables over by the water view which is why we came, she angrily barked "they're all taken, every table, and walked away." The restaurant is no reservations, so that's literally not possible. And beyond that the attitude was rough. We got seafood. Some of the worst food we've ever had. My mother in her late 60s got immediately sick. On the walk back to our hotel, she couldn't walk. Fell over vomiting all over the street and shaking. We were inches from calling 911, but I gave her a should and helped walk her back. A 15 minute walk back turned into an hour of extreme pain and worry. Bad service. Dangerous food. My family is old, absolutely terrible. I hope this place gets sued or shuts down. Oh also, they auto-charge a 20% service tip. Fuck you, you horrible irresponsible assholes. read more

Not family friendly. We came early season, almost no one in restaurant and walk in and wanted to sit on the patio. We have our 4 month old infant with us in her car seat attached to a small stroller. They told us we'd have to remove her and leave the stroller outside, we asked for management saying there's almost no one inside and they can put us in a corner as we can't put her in a highchair, she can not sit up. They told us it's a town rule, no exceptions. Odd that every other place we've eaten has had no issue and let us right in. This is a walking town, even if the baby sat up they'd be asking us to leave very expensive equipment outside unattended. But there were little things that made it not feel like a classy dining experience. We came for lunch and our cups were plastic and small, there was no background music playing in the enclosed patio, my husband also ordered the lobster roll that was $27 (a fair price for a lobster roll) and opted to not go with the French fries, which were an upcharge, so his came with a chip bag of lays potato chips. Overall the taste was fine, and the service was fine. I would say everything was pretty much average. I had a Perkins Cove punch that was delicious. For dinner I had baked stuffed shrimp mashed and green beans. It was very good. Others had seafood Diavlo and it was filled with seafood. Lobster, shrimp, mussels and scallops over pasta. Nice hot red sauce. They have a nice menu and the atmosphere really nice. The only downside is no a/c. Located on the water front...where the Marginal Way begins or ends...with beautiful views and a totally relaxing atmosphere. This was our first meal in Maine...so I had to get lobster and it did not disappoint! I had the lobster grilled cheese...and it was delicious. No worries, they have lobster many other ways...you'd be amazed at every which way they serve lobster in Maine! I was a little disappointed when I realized the "potato chips" was just a bag of Lay's chips. At a place like this you'd think they'd be handmade and/or fresh. Even a brand more local would have been better than just Lay's if it must be served in a bag. My guys were less adventurous, they had the bacon blue burger and the other had a regular cheeseburger. They were both good, but the cheeseburger tasted like one you can get anywhere. However, the blue cheese burger was better and if you love blue cheese, they don't skimp on it...you will definitely have enough. The fries were a tad boring or "regular" (for the lack of a better term), no special seasoning or anything. You can't beat the setting and the view. When you sit outside...you literally sit on the waterfront practically. The day we went it was chilly, but it was warm on their patio. They had heavy plastic covers around the outside seating area or else we would have frozen from the wind. It was just a wonderful "Welcome to Maine" setting for us...just wish the food matched (the food did fill the void). There is also indoor seating and a full bar. Erik was our waiter and he is/was absolutely charming, kind, helpful and spot on! There is not a private parking area, however, it is located next to a public paid parking area with a lot of spaces. Plus, it is located in a central location where you can see the sights, walk the marginal way and check out Oarweed Cove, shop, see Perkins Cove, the footbridge, etc...and have a meal before or after your touristy escapades or just take a break for a drink or dessert. We decided to take a drive and have lunch and stopped at Perkins Cove Maine and had one of the worst lunch ever. We both ordered some clam chowder and were served 2 cold bowls of the chowder . I tried to get the attention of the waitress but finally had to place the chowder at the edge of the table and finally was asked something wrong ? They replaced the chowder and it was better but now on to the crab cakes. Crab cakes were like 2 hockey pucks with no taste and I had a few bites but decided no best to just pay the bill and head home. If you serve food cold you're going to make people sick ( both of us have stomach aches ). I am very disappointed of our experience at this restaurant. read more

Stopped here for lunch while in Ogunquit. The views from this restaurant, if you're able to sit by the window are wonderful! I had the cob salad with Salmon. The salmon was very flavorful and the salad was generous in its portion and good. I also tried my friend's Brussels sprouts, which were very well cooked. I don't eat lobster but friends had the lobster roll and the lobster and were pleased. There's nothing incredibly special about this place, but it's okay. read more

Been here a few times when I go home to visit family. The view! It is beautiful and cozy. This place is as casual or fancy as you want to make it. Always able to walk in and have a great seat. Always get the Lobster. This year my kids were old enough to order their own food and of course is not seafood. Burgers and chicken. Not good. My son didn't even eat his burger. It was cooked beyond a crisp. All the food was mediocre and very expensive. You could do better at a small side shack anyplace in Maine. But by default I love Lobster and no matter where I go in Maine it is better than Georgia! read more

We've been going to Jackies Two as our go-to spot in OGT for 30 years, often our first stop! Today was disappointing in many ways, the food (fried fish)was clearly over cooked, ( I'm saying this as a former restaurant line cook/fry cook) our server was very nice but she was so new she did not know what to do to fix it, when we said we could not eat it. Patio seating has gorgeous view of the bay and accents the food nicely. The broiled scallops were large and delicious. The management frowns upon on the sharing lobster plates, but you can get around this by ordering more entrees according to the waitress. Coming at a busy hour, I expected to have to wait at least thirty minutes. When I told the hostess how many, she told me she would be just a minute and call us when ready. We only had to wait a few moments before a perfect table facing the ocean was ready for us. The food came out quickly and was delicious.
