Only ate there once but the food was great and the hospitality was definitely there I got me a big breakfast plate with eggs,toast,bacon,waffles with banana slices and grits; spent about 20 dollars and some change. They gave me all the butter and syrups I needed as well without me asking. Service was good -- very sweet server .. didn't see a name tag on her, so not sure of her name, but she was kind. After tip, it was close to $23, which was pricey for us, being senior citizens. Really wanted to like this place and was excited to find a neighborhood breakfast spot nearby. Went and ordered our food and an hour later we were still waiting for it. Our waitress told us they had a cook quit, but couldn't tell us what was going on with our order or how much longer it would be. The owner even came by the table, but we still weren't getting an eta and another table who walked in 30 minutes after ours got their food. We ended up walking out. Terrible experience, I was here for 1 hour and 15 minutes. I ate my food and was served well. Apparently, I was sitting "too long" and they asked me to leave because of their wait. I spoke with owner and she was adamant I needed to leave because she had a long line of customers waiting. When I got up she had 4 open tables and only one family waiting which I pointed out to her. I told her I would be writing a review on google, she responded "You can write a review, do whatever you want!" I have been here before and never been treated like this, but because the owner was here and wanted her tables flipped faster she had another server come and ask me to leave. My girlfriend and I came before lunch during the weekend to fulfill her brunch craving. They have a decent sized lot and parking was easy to find. The interior was pretty full but we got seated almost immediately. My issue was with the service and the food honestly. From the time we got seated to when food got to the table, I estimated roughly 45 minutes. Keep in mind, we ordered pretty quick cooking items like eggs over easy and hash browns (likely pre-made). In addition to waiting forever for our food, our order was messed up so they ended up just giving us 2 of the 3 things we ordered and we waited an additional 15 minutes for the 3rd dish. That messed up the timing because one person was already done eating and the other just got their food. In regards to the food, it is very, very typical brunch diner fare. Not really impressed with any of the items in particular and it tasted like some of the items, including the sausage, were just premade/frozen and reheated. Portion sizes were fine and I can see why people come here to avoid the wait of other brunch places on weekends. However, this isn't really for me and I can probably just cook this at home next time without the wait and messed up order hah. read more

Good food and service. It's in an old IHOP restaurant, but it has the warm colors of a Black Bear Diner. Karla was our waitress. She was very friendly. I ordered the Country Fried Steak with scrambled eggs, pancakes and orange juice. The food was good enough to fill you up. At these brunch places, I typically don't expect a 3x or more award-winning chicken fried steak. This one was typical of what you would get. Eggs and pancakes were good. I do think it's a tad bit pricey, but if I was looking for a breakfast/brunch place to fill me up, I would get it again. read more

Came here for a late breakfast with my boyfriend and the service was super slow as well as getting our food. On top of that our hash-brown and eggs were super cold, the only thing good were our pancakes and waffles. We sat for five minutes waiting for our waitress to give us the bill and had to stand up at the front to pay. Our bill came out to $29 after two basic plates and it just was not worth it. That said, "Jackie's" food (breakfast) has been in previous visits acceptable, standard quality. Our past visit this recent Friday was sadly not good: rubbery bacon and truly awful, "western omelet" for one of my workers-vegetables inside the omelet actually bizarrely dripping with water accompanied by a barely cooked, additional cost plain waffle. Old school diner experience on another level! We tried this place last weekend and it did not disappoint. I admit, I was worried it would be like a Denny's or IHOP experience, but was very pleasantly surprised. The wait staff was quick and attentive and our food came out in very little time. The biscuits and gravy, french toast, and omelets were fantastic. Bacon was crispy and thick and their flavored coffee was better than expected. The price is also very reasonable. I will start this off by saying that my family and I have been going to Jackie's Kitchen since it opened years ago. However, because of recent experiences we will not return. We were charged unnecessary gratuity. For a party under 6. Half of the table was children and service was subpar that day. I ate there last Sunday. My friend and I got our breakfast. I took a bite of my eggs, they were stone cold and rubbery. I asked her if her eggs were the same, she said they were good. I then noticed that the color of my eggs were a different color than hers. I took another bite, ah, they were POWDERED EGGS! The waitress came to the table. I asked her if they served me powdered eggs. She got very flustered and told me yes, they were powdered, that you have to request cracked eggs to get fresh REAL eggs. This is not the case. I've never gotten powdered eggs from them in all the years I've eaten there. I asked why my friend got real eggs then. She Stammered that it must have been because the plates got mixed up. No, it was because they were sporadically serving powdered eggs. The waitress took back my plate. Jackie, the owner glared at me for sending the plate back. With the prices of eating out, , I want what I'm paying for. No one is paying for fake eggs when they go out to eat. I could have just got up and left after being served cold, fake food (the pancakes were also undercooked) I didn't tho. Jackie glared at me every time she walked by. My friend and I did have a giggle about her being mad that I busted her on serving powdered eggs to people. I waited forever for a refill. The server brought the check, but didn't refill my cup. She said she had forgotten I wanted one. She then walked away to the other side of the restaurant and didn't come back. I was never rude to her. All I did was ask for my food to be made correctly. Jackie came up to us and said that we needed to leave. I told her I was waiting on a refill. She said that she had people waiting for a table and that I needed to go. I told her the waitress was supposed to have come back to refill cups and never did half way into our meal. I had already paid and tipped. There were other tables around us that were empty. There was one family waiting at the door for a table. Again, plenty of tables around the restaurant. How can you be so angry that a customer caught you for being a cheapskate and serving fake food? That is your fault. I told another friend about what happened later and she said that her husband was tapped on the shoulder by Jackie while she was in the restroom after their meal and told to leave! What in the world Is going on here? It's such a shame! When we initially sat down for breakfast I had told my friend that I always forgot about Jackie's serving lunch and that we should come back and try them soon. That won't be happening! read more

This place is overrated. The food was so bland and cold. I get it, the servers are busy but we're in a pandemic so it shouldn't be packed with people. There was no practice in social distancing between tables. I'm not the type to ever complain about a restaurant but this has to be a joke Why is one of the cooks not wearing a mask while cooking, especially not knowing if they have COVID or not. When no one knew what was gonna happen Jackie turned this opportunity to remain the best place to have Breakfast Lunch or Brunch. Instead of letting the negativity of Covid attack everything she worked for Jackie rises up to this challenge and has taken her dream to a higher level. I normally am happy with this place, but not if I want a 'to go' order. They NEVER answer their phone, so i usually have to walk in to place a to go order. But not today. Why? Because today I walked in to place an order and the gentleman at the register informed me they were too busy to accept to go orders. The logic behind that statement escapes me. IHOP ain't got nothin on Jackie's!! The food is hot, service is fast and friendly and there's never a wait. Whatever you order here, you can bet that the portions are going to be huge and it's going to be fresh. The inside resembles an IHOP but this place is better. You get more for your buck and each time we go, the employees are friendly and attentive. The menu is your typical diner menu, breakfast plates, lunch items from sammies to salads and lighter options. Although, I'm partial to their breakfast, their omelettes are HUGE and DELICIOUS!!! Karla was a very rude server. First she told me and my party of 6 that we couldn't push two small tables together. Another nice worker who wasn't our server later saw us sitting separate and told us we could push the tables together. When it was time to pay she told me friend who ordered a plate that was $8.99 and got water to drink that her bill was $17. My friend kindly asked why it was $17 because her meal was only $8.99 and Karla rudely replied "you can select the print the receipt".
