Enjoyed wonderful service and a delicious evening at Jack Sprats. Perfect spot to celebrate the hubby's birthday!

Alaska spots get a +.5 star bias because the limited options here. This is a beautiful spot in Alyeska that serves up wonderful, fresh, high quality fare. Yams ($14) as an appetizer were wonderful, and had a nice cilantro dip. I had the Captains Catch (black cod, $48) and it was also delicious. The fish was super fresh and not at all fishy. I had a bite of the Pasta ($37) and it was also great. Prices are on par with higher end dining. The interior is gorgeous, rustic-cozy meets modern. The staff are super nice - Mitzy is the cutest!

Excellent customer service, first off (10/10). Unfortunately very mediocre, under seasoned food. I heard good things about this place- by people that live in Girdwood- told me it's their favorite restaurant. But I wasn't impressed. The Waygu burger was a 5.5/10 and the fries were 2/10. Both very under seasoned. I tried my friend's nachoes and dessert- both which I didn't like. Just not enough flavor for any of the meals. On the flip side my friend loved the nachos and tart ass dessert.

We had dinner here after spending the evening at the Nordic Spa and this really was the cherry on top of a great night. We came in about 30 mins before closing but never felt rushed. Our server was friendly and quick to take our order. I won't say no to anything with a fried egg on top, so I got the bibimbap. It came out so hot you could hear the rice crisping in the stone pot. It took a long while for it to cool -- my fiance had nearly finished his burger by the time I could take actual full bites! I heated up the leftovers the next morning and it was soooo good. We were seated by the kitchen and enjoyed watching all the desserts being made. Unfortunately we had no room to order any, but will definitely plan on it on our next visit here.

Ambience- comfortable, romantic lodge Service was prompt and good. The waitress was knowledgeable on food options. We got the yams. Really tasty and huge on the order size. We then got the momma Mia (Italian linguini and vegetarian sausage). Again huge serving size. We split the order and took half home. It was delicious. Cost. This is not a cheap restaurant. Recommended. Note all deserts have chocolate in them

The service was amazing from start to finish. The food was delicious! We had 3 appetizers which were a meal in themselves. The entrees were perfect, the chef himself came out to see how everything was and suggested a red wine to go with the meals. Finished the evening with a delicious desert and Irish coffee. Perfect evening, beautiful restaurant, comfortable and cozy.

The atmosphere was awesome and staff was friendly. Our food was some of the best we've had. I had the chow fun with steak. They crushed it on the steak, absolutely delicious.

Oh no, did they change management or something? This is usually a favorite place, but our last visit left me feeling disenchanted. The Cheesy Schmool appetizer was dangerously too hot when it was served to us. Server (Carter?) didn't warn us, and the marinara sauce burnt my mouth. The focaccia bread that came with the Schmool was burnt black in places and shouldn't have been served to a guest. The Peanut Pan dish I usually love was lacking in flavor. It was just ok, but I was missing a depth of flavor. My baby got the "Oodles of Noodles" off the kids menu but the pasta wasn't made fresh for her, it seemed hard like it'd been sitting around for a while. The butter sauce was icky. She didn't eat any of it. The most distressing thing was the King Dong cake they're practically famous for is now different! I swear the filling used to have a lightweight delicious mascarpone and now it just tastes like dense-ish sweetened cream cheese. This is a mom-gripe, but I really wish they'd install a baby changing table in the bathrooms. Even just one? It's kind of horrible putting your sweet baby on the dirty floor when a diaper needs changing. Haven't given up hope on JS yet. Maybe our next time here will be back on track?

Omgosh this place, so yummy and what a great location. I absolutely love their outdoor fire pit where you can sit and wait for your table. I like their little gift shop too. Inside the restaurant is gorgeous. It's hard to explain but it has an upscale rustic Alaska feeling to it. The hostess was darling and the server was very helpful. The food is delicious like lower 48 good! Sorry Alaska just being real here. Try the yam fries AMAZING, the avocado salsa, the wagyu beef burger and the vegan nachos! You're welcome! Oh and the blueberry soda in a can, FANTASTIC!!

Basta Pasta add steak bites. I believe this was almost $45.

We go to Jack Sprat about once a year. Just some things to consider to manage expectations: No reservations and limited hours, so there is often a longer wait than what is usual around the area. Very expensive for what you get, and a small but varied menu. Only beer and wine. The food is decent, and I can definitely appreciate that they try to source local ingredients, vegan options, and have a rotating special. I believe I've had everything on their current menu and it's all been fine. The ambiance is nice with low lighting and open windows. Pictured here was the Basta Pasta special with steak bites.

The prices for food are honestly pretty reasonable considering you're paying the downtown premium but you're getting high-quality food. I know it's not called mac & cheese but it's gone well it looks like it and tastes delicious The burgers are fantastic. Their duck fat fries are delicious. The server we had was fantastic and took care of us. He had some great recommendations and did an amazing job keeping up on us. Place was clean and well kept it was a little quiet last night but we were happy to have a place that's actually open on a Monday night seems to be a rare thing nowadays in Anchorage.

It features a blend of barstool window seats, barstool bar seats, high-top tables, and standard-height tables. We went for a very late lunch, which made the quick food delivery and yet under-attentive service a little perplexing. Having spent last summer in London, the attraction at TCT for us was comparing and contrasting Alaska Halibut Fish & Chips with the British fare. I wanted to like the Tent City offering; I really did not. For the price ($28/ea), we got three modest pieces of fish and the equivalent of two servings of chips. Both the fish and the chips were mushy (undercooked), with a heavy batter finish in contrast with the light and crisp British offering. The accompanying tarter sauce was an odd raspberry-and-blackberry concoction that my family and I called a pickle aftertaste. The presentation, for the price and the atmosphere, was a confusing combination of a metal basket lined with wax paper (like a 1950's drive-through), plastic water and soda glasses (like a college cafeteria), and real silverware. Other reviews have high praise for TCT so, on our next visit to Alaska, it will be good to give them another try. The bones of this establishment are in place for a really special experience, but, today, for me, it was just "ok."

My uncle said three times, "Hello!" Male staff appeared to be more focused on laptop and finally responded, "I'll be there." Customer service gradually improved with male staff and after a female employee arrived while we indulged in soup, appetizer and main entree. Restaurant was completely out of king crab and oysters when we clarified with the male staff, saw the sticker labeled out on menu and their morning shipment didn't arrive. Smoked Salmon + Clam Chowder in a bowl was a winner! Highly ideal for below zero degrees Fahrenheit weather. Able to taste both fresh Alaskan smoked salmon and clams. Toasted bread complemented this fabulous chowder. Smoked Salmon Spread with cream cheese, thinly sliced baguette, on a bed of leafy greens, capers, red onions, cucumbers, and red, orange and yellow bell peppers. Everything made fresh and tasty! 1 lb Dungeness crab was served heat hot with two containers of drawn butter. Loved how the shell was very easy to crack, peel, pulled out the fresh crab meat. Enjoyable to consume. Vegetable medley and diced potatoes were included. There's free parking and a clean washroom/ restroom inside the restaurant.
