    Chicken Alfredo

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for some lunch. Upon entry we could see a number of open tables, however none of them were cleared off from the previous patrons. Therefore, when we arrived we had to wait 15 minutes for the bartender to come out and clear off all of the tables for us to be seated. The atmosphere was loud and there were several kids running around the restaurant screaming. The server/bartender took 20 minutes to come take our order and we noticed him taking orders from other tables around us that had come after we had arrived. We had to wait an additional 25 minutes for the food to be served. The "chicken Alfredo" was horrendous, I have never seen that much oil at the bottom of a plate of chicken Alfredo. It was almost as if they completely substituted out the sauce for oil. Will never be coming back!! Parking: Free

Amazing buffalo wings, always a good atmosphere. My friend ordered the $31 halibut and we weren't very impressed with the portion for the price

Big downgrade from what this place used to be. Apparently the restaurant has changed ownership very recently. We have come twice this past week or so, and everything has been below average across the board. We got shrimp tacos and the shrimp isn't seasoned. Like, at all. Nor is it grilled... I think it may have been poached and chilled, then put the in the taco. The shells are raw tortillas, not homemade, not hot. The tacos are loaded with raw largely chunked pieces of red onion. Terribly sad dish. I do not recommend. On our last visit we got a pizza, The Italian I think. It was served to us stale and COLD. Like, maybe it had been sitting around for an hour. I would've sent it back but we were with a large group of people and I just didn't want to spoil the mood. The waitstaff have been humdrum. Not much etiquette, somewhat blasé. The last young man we got did not care enough or was simply inept in the task of splitting a 3-way bill. The final straw for us was when my husband got sick for 2 days likely from the dirty beer taps here. Very very sad to see this once reputable restaurant leave such a dismal taste in our mouth.

Very cool spot! Halibut tacos are delicious. I enjoyed the pale ale on tap. Think casual ski resort chalet vibe.

We visited Chair 5 for lunch, during the winter season. Their interior is woody and uniquely Alaskan. We felt comfortable with our additional needs son in tow. Music was bumpin', which further added to the great vibes. Our waitress was accommodating, while also allowing us space to breathe. We ordered hot buffalo wings well done and with zero complaints. We ordered halibut chunks that came with all the right dipping sauces and a few of their chicken strips meals. Highly recommend Chair 5 for a family friendly meal. Can't wait to return.

My husband and I arrived just before 1 pm today. I asked to be seated in a booth. There was no on else waiting for a table. There were multiple open booths. We were told we had to have 4 people in our party to sit in a booth. I said, " Even if it means we'll go elsewhere?" They said yes, so we went elsewhere. I felt like I was in a scene in a Sienfeld episode. It made no sense.

We did get the dip bread appetizer about 15 minutes after ordering which helped. Then we waited another full hour after finishing it before our food arrived. The food was inconsistent. The chow fun noodles were undercooked. More like al dente pasta which does not work for a Chinese dish. The burgers came with fries that were cold and hard. They did fix that quickly and brought fresh fries which were much better. The wagyu burger was the biggest disappointment. The meat tasted very gamey. That is not what you expect from wagyu which should be rich and buttery. I ended up trying to cover the taste with toppings just to eat it. Not enjoyable. Our child did enjoy her grass fed beef burger and had no complaints. The atmosphere is great. Live music adds a nice touch. We also liked the shop next door and the outdoor wood fire. We like this place and wanted it to be a great experience. The food and timing just missed the mark this time. Hoping they improve because the setting is really nice.

I admit I initially wasn't thrilled with the super high barstools - at least they're high if you're short - but quickly became comfortable once situated. I enjoyed the ambiance and loved the view. The food was okay, but again it's fast convenience so I wasn't expecting anything other than okay. The service was surprising because I expected disinterest to find very invested and kind employees. One of the items we ordered was out of stock and when the error was discovered they quickly addressed it and had some fast suggestions. I liked that they had suggestions. I won't go into the food details too much because their menu rotates. What may be here when I was there may not be there when you go. The drinks were marvelous. I ordered the margarita again expecting average to find it was glorious. It was smooth, well balanced, and easy to drink. Everyone was happy with their drinks. The drink menu seems to be in a solid state, the menu rarely changing except for a couple seasonal items. I was pleased!

We order, and I say to the owner, you know, the key to a Philly cheesesteak is the Amaroso rolls. He pulls down the bag if rolls, and they are Amaroso rolls. I'm stunned. Never thought I would see this in Alaska. I just finished my cheesesteak 5 minutes ago. Run to Odd Man Rush brewery and have a beer and a cheesesteak.
