You spend a few minutes 3-5 minutes in the cold plunge and then about 10-15 minutes in the sauna. I literally felt pins and needles throughout my body immediately, but it felt even better getting out and going into the sauna. I only lasted about 40 seconds lol but plan to continue adding on more time once I'm used to it and mentally prepared. It's a great way to bond, recover, and relax. It's definitely a VIBE! It was nice there was a call right after I got scheduled to make sure I knew I was doing and if I've ever been to Perspire before. They made sure to go over everything in detail. Parking shouldn't be an issue as it's in a little corner of the plaza. I actually liked it a lot more than Perspire since there is a small and large size Sauna. I like that it did get hotter than Perspire and did a little bit of cardio on the bike before hand to help increase the efficiency of the Sauna. Infrared is outside and you stand there 5 mins facing both sides. Pretty easy to use. There are goggles if you need but he explained to me it's healthy for you if you close your eyes and face it as well. It's not too too bright. They have - a full towel service (dry towels to sit on & dry off with AND a chilled towel for after) - a chilled water refill station - plenty of parking - stationary bikes to get your heart pumping before a sauna session - clean rooms - bathroom - TV to watch Netflix from inside the sauna (speakers are inside of the sauna) - nice, happy staff I would've loved to hop in a cold shower right after, even an outdoor swimsuit on type rinse off. The leather chaise absorbs body heat especially after the Fire House. It was possibly the heavy cotton uniform that you're issued. Seemed like the females out numbered the males 10:1. So many pink uniforms in the common area. It's unfortunate that there is no talking allowed in the Fire or Salt houses. Even with whispering, it's very annoying and bothersome. I suppose it could be worse but it really disturbed my relaxation. Even though the spa provides free soaps, shampoo, and conditioner in the showers, it's still bulk industrial cleansers. It dried out my skin, didn't feel very good after showering. It's just slightly better than rinsing off the sweat in a hot shower. The men's TV room was blacked out, no TV on, a large quiet room. But, who can find peace in there with loud snoring and other noises coming from outside or the AC ducts. The cafe is still there. Didn't eat but the delicious smell of bul-go-gi was so amazing. I used the sauna for a large portion of my life. I love the heat. I got sick and tired of having to do the communal sauna including the one at the globo gyms. Those are gross. I have had everything happen to me in those saunas. This place is different. Here is what I do... Daily: 5AM- 1 hour Strength Cross Training; 0620- 1 to 2 mile cold ocean swim with no wet suit; and 0730- Come here and reap the huge benefits of the infrared, heat, goodness. I figured out to put the channel with the ocean waves and wave music. Then I jump in the Saune at 160 F. It takes me about 2 minutes to knock out.
