I've been going to this barber shop for about 10 years. It's not really fair to write a "review" on the barbershop as a whole, because it really depends on the barber you go to. Some of the barbers are not as good as others; if you don't know who to go to, look at the number of people waiting in line for a barber, and usually that person is pretty good. Overall, everyone there is friendly. The shop is owned by a husband and wife who also cut hair over there. The husband's dad used to own the barbershop, and used to cut there years ago. Just some advice, just get a haircut from anyone and if you like your haircut, keep going to the same barber. The more you go to the same person, the more the barber will know what you like and it will be easier to get the same results. The flat rate is $10. If you like your haircut, don't forget to tip. I really like my barber, so if I'm really satisfied, I give $5. I tip less in the rare instance I don't like my haircut, like when I am forced to go to another barber due to time restraints or if my barber is not working that day. I forgot when the shop closes (it needs to be posted here), but the shop is not open on Sunday. I believe they open at 9am. I've been going here for years, and stuck with the same barber. As long as I went to the same barber, I got an excellent haircut. Everyone is friendly and down-to-earth. read more

I've been going here for 10+ years & my barber Lisa has been the greatest! She cuts the best fades & she really works hard to make my haircut right. She always has a line of people waiting for her & it's all because of her great customer service & sincereness. The owners are real great people. A lot of us go off to work right after a hair cut. It's not fun when you get hair around your neck & in your clothes when your off to work. I made a suggestion to one of the owners to fix Lisa's vacuum because it was broken at one time. They replaced it & gave the shop new vacuums! These people really care about their customers. I live in Orange & I drive once a week to Costa Mesa to get my haircut. For me it's worth it for the great care & customer service they offer. read more

$10 haircuts, but the guy I got named Ed couldn't even cut straight-- I've never gotten one this lousy before, the top was chopped up and the side burns were whacked, one diagonally up, the other diagonally down. How hard is it to cut a straight line? Ed was neither friendly nor welcoming, he smiled as if he quietly hated me, and the usual barber talking he did went to some strange and disturbing topics, none of which made any sense to me. None of the barbers there were friendly. I must have visited this place on the wrong day given other reviews and recommendations. I advise you go somewhere else and at least find someone who can cut straight for $11 or $12. If you don't need one after it to fix it then it's a bargain. read more

If you looking for a simple haircut nothing to fancy, this place is good for you, If you are looking for style, skinny jeans emo hair cuts.. go to Paul Mitchell around the corner but make sure you bring your man purse - you freak! I have been coming here for a good 7yrs at the most. I found it because Supercuts across the street was getting expensive and I just wanted a simple haircut. 3 on the sides, little bit off the top - $10 is perfect, $15 isn't when you have to tip. Anyways, I don't have a certain barber yet. I've been getting different ones to see their style and so far there is about two of them that do what I'm looking for good. There usually the same 10-12 barbers that do the haircuts so you can be sure you'll find a seat in no time. I never really had to wait for a long time for a haircut. In fact, I don't even remember ever waiting period... The people there are cool. Always looking for a conversation. They added TVs in there which makes thing a little better. They have a huge big fish tank and a little white dog that roams around. I bet they consider her family. Just watch your step though you might step on her. I only give two stars based on my own personal experience. I went in for a beard "trim" and the guy dismantled my beard I had been working on for years. I told him "just take a little off and shape it up". When he turned my chair around to check out the cut in the mirror I about lost it. He took about two inches off! When I got home my wife cried. I don't want to single him out but just know this, if you have a Good beard and need a "trim", go to a real professional. Spend an extra five bucks and go home as manly as when you left. read more

I am a fifty year old guy and I wanted to make a change in my haircut and he did a fade with the top still long and it came out GREAT!!!! You get what you pay for. I checked this place out because it was close and cheap. I like to cut my hair pretty often, so was looking for something that would make that affordable. I asked for a simple #1 taper and scissor cut on top. It was very uneven and just bad. I ended up having to go somewhere else and pay to have it fixed a couple days later when wearing a hat wasn't acceptable. I wouldn't recommend this barber outside of a getting a cheap buzzcut, however, maybe some of the other barbers are better. read more
