Was travelling for a few days and was hoping to get a haircut while in the area. Was first search result and cuts looked good. I attempted to call in to check schedule availability, no response. Called that night, no response, and went to bed leaving a message through yelp. The yelp response told me to call in instead of answering my question about availability or to book me. I called in again, no response. I gave it one more shot after 3 days of trying to reach the shop to find out they are booked for the day. My rating is based on response time, my trip here would be over by the time I actually managed to reach someone and book an appointment. read more

I have spent almost 5 years to find someone who can give me a haircut that I am truly satisfied with...Joseph is that person. Every week I get a cut from him now and have been only going to him for almost two years. There is no one else I would trust with my hair other than him...for now The atmosphere is informal / laidback. There are no pretentious vibes (which i usually get going into many salons) so this one is truly comforting. Going back to Joseph - he's great, funny, knows how to hold a conversation, & cuts great hair. (for mens) I'm not sure how well he cuts women's hair but he's great at cutting mine. My little boy is still smiling! Initially he was apprehensive about getting his haircut but the milieu at crew is intimate, the room is cool, vintage and small, and the staff is young, hipster, sweet, patient and kind so my 8 year old finally acquiesced. He jumped on the chair and told Mark what he wanted. My husband and I were able to enjoy a cup of coffee as we sat and watched Mark meticulously cut and style our sons hair. It looks great. Worst customer service I have ever had. I sat in the waiting seats outside the store thinking I was next. I waited for the customer a head of me to finish. Then as I was getting ready to go next I was told that they were fully Booked and had no spot left over. Why even have a waiting area up front.The barber never asked me while I was waiting if I was there for a hair cut the only interaction I had with the barber was when he asked me a question about a rapper. This place is a waste of time and if that is how they treat potential customers they don't shouldn't be in business. I expected better from this place. read more

This is my "go to" barbershop since moving to Orange County a year ago. I've tried several men's salon/barbershops (Hawleywood's - too many beards and jeans, several 18/8 locations - too prim/proper, floyd's - ehhh, etc). Lab Barbershop was the best - talent, price, atmosphere, service selection, and flexibility. The vibe is always fun and makes you feel like you're part of the group. My hairstylist is Bree! She gives me a flawless fade every time. She also gives great advice on the cut and styling. She has the best attention to detail and will never let you down. ASK FOR HER! This place has all the accommodations - beer, hot towel, hair wash, etc, but I come here specifically for Bree's skills. read more

Started coming here recently because I followed Marco from another salon. In the past several months I've gone through numerous stylists. I found it tough to find a hair stylist that truly knows what they are doing, is passionate, and ensures you're happy with the cut. Marco embodies all of these things and then some. About average. The barbers were OK but a bit too laid back and easily distracted for what they are charging. Haircut was standard, nothing fancy, but the "I'll see ya when I see ya" attitude is for the birds. The lines not out the door and you are not the hottest thing on the block or the line would be out the door. I am a bit if a stickler about time and they were 40 mins late and unapologetic about it. Furthermore, a client was running behind and the barber said if you are late then You lose your spot however if the barber is late, too bad? BS read more

So I got my hair cut here a couple days ago. The environment was welcoming and the guy who cut my hair was courteous. The hair cut I recieve dead well done, except for the fact that it wasn't entirely what I asked for. It looked more like a low fade rather than the high taper I wanted. I didn't say anything because the cut looked clean so I rolled with it. Maybe next time it'll be different. Only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the other barber wasn't really professional. He just seems to have a a fuck it attitude. Nothing against the guy, but your place of business attracts what you project. read more

I live down the street and prefer doing walk-ins as opposed to appointments. Almost never have an issue during the weeks or on Sundays. Parking can sometimes be an issue but can't blame the barbershop for that one. Always a relaxed vibe and good convo's. Will continue getting my cuts and razor shaves here. read more

Horrible customer service!! I had an appointment at 4:30 with Craig in which I arrived at 4:20. He made me wait 30 minutes before he attended to me to check my appointment time and after checking, told me that he can fit me in his schedule after his 5 o'clock appointment! These guys definitely don't care about their customers because they are always "booked". This was by faaaaaar the worst experience I've experienced and Craig was very rude and disrespectful in the way he treated/talked to me. I walked out and will NEVER step foot in there again!!!! Not this place! Service sucks, waited for 20 minutes before anyone talk to me, or even make eye contact! I was clearly being ignored. I finally asked someone for water, only to bring the smallest water cup ever. One of the barbers finished with his current customer and hanged out with the girls working there, completely ignoring that I was there waiting! 40 minutes into the wait the guy asked me what I want to do and it turned out they don't shave heads! Love coming here for a cut. Great atmosphere and incredible service. I started coming here to follow Max when he took up shop there. Max gives an awesome haircut! After getting a terrible haircut somewhere else it was refreshing having someone who knows what their doing and walked me though what he wanted to do with my hair from start to finish. It's always easy to schedule a visit with him, he provides a great service, and is one of the most personable barbers I've worked with.
