Crew Barbershop - Barbers Near Me - Costa Mesa, California

Was travelling for a few days and was hoping to get a haircut while in the area. Was first search result and cuts looked good. I attempted to call in to check schedule availability, no response. Called that night, no response, and went to bed leaving a message through yelp. The yelp response told me to call in instead of answering my question about availability or to book me. I called in again, no response. I gave it one more shot after 3 days of trying to reach the shop to find out they are booked for the day. My rating is based on response time, my trip here would be over by the time I actually managed to reach someone and book an appointment. read more

I have spent almost 5 years to find someone who can give me a haircut that I am truly satisfied with...Joseph is that person. Every week I get a cut from him now and have been only going to him for almost two years. There is no one else I would trust with my hair other than him...for now The atmosphere is informal / laidback. There are no pretentious vibes (which i usually get going into many salons) so this one is truly comforting. Going back to Joseph - he's great, funny, knows how to hold a conversation, & cuts great hair. (for mens) I'm not sure how well he cuts women's hair but he's great at cutting mine. PS I always get compliments on my fade! read more

Decided to switch up my barbershop and so happy I did. Jimmy is great, listens to exactly what you want, and has great attention to detail. Coming back here is now a monthly tradition for me because I keep getting compliments on my cuts. Thanks Jimmy! read more

My little boy is still smiling! Initially he was apprehensive about getting his haircut but the milieu at crew is intimate, the room is cool, vintage and small, and the staff is young, hipster, sweet, patient and kind so my 8 year old finally acquiesced. He jumped on the chair and told Mark what he wanted. My husband and I were able to enjoy a cup of coffee as we sat and watched Mark meticulously cut and style our sons hair. It looks great. He's so happy and proud. We will definitely return! Looking forward to next time. Thank you Mark! read more

Jimmy is the best!! I won't let anyone else cut my hair again. He knows what he's doing and wants you to be happy with your haircut and will let you know if you don't like it to go back. 10 stars thanks again Jimmy see ya in a few weeks read more

Jimmy was awesome!! He gave my husband the perfect cut. He was very friendly and professional. The shop was very clean and jimmy made us feel very comfortable. My husband said he will be back for future cuts for sure! Thanks jimmy! read more

Found my new spot! I was in need of a cut and searched for a spot closer to home. I'm very pleased with this establishment. Very professional very clean very skilled barber. Ask for Jonathan he'll know what to do. read more

Worst customer service I have ever had. I sat in the waiting seats outside the store thinking I was next. I waited for the customer a head of me to finish. Then as I was getting ready to go next I was told that they were fully Booked and had no spot left over. Why even have a waiting area up front. The barber never asked me while I was waiting if I was there for a hair cut the only interaction I had with the barber was when he asked me a question about a rapper. This place is a waste of time and if that is how they treat potential customers they don't shouldn't be in business. I expected better from this place. read more

I've been getting my hair cut at the Lab since it opened. Marco is great at his craft. He takes your input and adds his own creativity to give you a finished look you will love. His attention to detail, laid back nature and skill with the razor will make you want to come back regularly. The ambiance is fun and trendy. You won't regret coming here, I know I haven't. read more

Another great experience with Justin. I recommend making an appointment but they will take walk-ins. The price is right, the service is great and my son is happy with the results. read more

Crew Barbershop - Great experience with Justin. - Barbers Near Me - Costa Mesa, California

I've been looking for a good salon/barber/haircut for about a year now. I tried about 5 different places in Newport Beach, CDM and Costa Mesa. I was a walk in at the Barber Shop. This place kills it. By far the best real barber experience. Talented Barbers and super cool vibe. Inviting but cool. Long is the man. I've referred 3 friends already and plan on sending more. Go here. read more

By far the best haircut I've ever gotten, William took the time to make this haircut perfect, and get to know me. Would definitely recommend if you care about your hair. read more

Visited the lab barbershop today and met with my hairstylist Marco. I love the atmosphere and the customer service that I received. If you're in the area and are looking for an amazing haircut be sure to ask for Marco. I have given him many challenges and he has executed each one flawlessly and professionally. read more

Crew Barbershop - Facial cleanup and a flawless fade by Marco - Barbers Near Me - Costa Mesa, California

This is my "go to" barbershop since moving to Orange County a year ago. I've tried several men's salon/barbershops (Hawleywood's - too many beards and jeans, several 18/8 locations - too prim/proper, floyd's - ehhh, etc). Lab Barbershop was the best - talent, price, atmosphere, service selection, and flexibility. The vibe is always fun and makes you feel like you're part of the group. My hairstylist is Bree! She gives me a flawless fade every time. She also gives great advice on the cut and styling. She has the best attention to detail and will never let you down. ASK FOR HER! This place has all the accommodations - beer, hot towel, hair wash, etc, but I come here specifically for Bree's skills. read more

Excellent barber! Mark did a great job with the haircut and shave. My husband looks like a new man. Kinda has that old-timey feel with great service. I think the guys working here are new - so don't judge them by the old reviews! read more

I've been getting my hair cut by Max for almost a year now. I had used the same barber for almost 10 years previously when he moved out of state and I was forced to find someone new. It took me almost two years to find someone I liked and did a great job for me. Max is AWESOME. Very reasonably priced, does an excellent job, and is a great conversationalist. If you are looking for a kick-ass barber, give Max a call!! read more

that guy with tattoos, green eyes, and hiTop Adidas. You're so unprofessional. Your service sucks, and so does your haircutting. He would rather buy bottles of wine/liquor off a guy keeping a mother and her son waiting. Talks on the phone while cutting someone's hair! read more

So I got my hair cut here a couple days ago. The environment was welcoming and the guy who cut my hair was courteous. The hair cut I recieve dead well done, except for the fact that it wasn't entirely what I asked for. It looked more like a low fade rather than the high taper I wanted. I didn't say anything because the cut looked clean so I rolled with it. Maybe next time it'll be different. Only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the other barber wasn't really professional. He just seems to have a a fuck it attitude. Nothing against the guy, but your place of business attracts what you project. read more

About average. The barbers were OK but a bit too laid back and easily distracted for what they are charging. Haircut was standard, nothing fancy, but the "I'll see ya when I see ya" attitude is for the birds. The lines not out the door and you are not the hottest thing on the block or the line would be out the door. I am a bit if a stickler about time and they were 40 mins late and unapologetic about it. Furthermore, a client was running behind and the barber said if you are late then You lose your spot however if the barber is late, too bad? BS read more

Started coming here recently because I followed Marco from another salon. In the past several months I've gone through numerous stylists. I found it tough to find a hair stylist that truly knows what they are doing, is passionate, and ensures you're happy with the cut. Marco embodies all of these things and then some. After getting my haircut from him once, I knew he was going to be my go to guy. He never rushes the process and the end result is perfection. I also enjoy the location. Everyone is always friendly and its located in a cool spot. Highly recommend both Crew Salon and Marco as your stylist. read more

So I asked a dear close friend of mine if they knew any good barbers. They recommended me to get my haircut done by Denise. I then scheduled an appointment the following week. My time at this barbershop was an overall positive experience. The location was awesome and the price point was worth it. Denise was very kind, open, collaborative, knowledgeable, provided great customer service, and made me feel even more confident than I did before I walked in there. I can't get enough of my haircut that I got from her and I can't wait to experiment different styles/techniques with it. I personally would recommend/ask for Denise to anyone who is looking for a great quality haircut. read more

Best barber shop in OC. Great group of dudes and they take their time so you'll look your best.

Need a cut, beard detail/trim. Hit up my boy Marco. He's legit. Great atmosphere and cool peeps.

I live down the street and prefer doing walk-ins as opposed to appointments. Almost never have an issue during the weeks or on Sundays. Parking can sometimes be an issue but can't blame the barbershop for that one. Always a relaxed vibe and good convo's. Will continue getting my cuts and razor shaves here. read more

Greg took my boys right in and they both got great cuts! Close to home, which was nice.

professional, fun, talented. these guys rock! coming back every 4 weeks to see Long. Highly recommended.

Definitely wasn't whay I expected but irs an awesome location. It was my first time here. Joseph was patient and tried to hold a conversation which is important for "the barbershop feel". Fast cuts and quiet barbers show you where their priorities are. read more

This was my first time getting a cut at The Lab, after following Marco here from his his previous shop. It's not everyday you find a true professional that's passionate about what he does, but Marco certainly defines that. 10/10 cut for a fair price. As an added bonus, it's enjoyable to just watch the happenings between folks at The Lab while getting the cut. read more

Best barber shop in town. I continually see Joseph but I've had my hair cut by other guys and they all kill it. Joseph takes time to examine your hair and do it right. I even tried to go to cheaper barber but it was so bad I ended up going to Joseph that same day to fix it. The vibe is relaxed and mellow. They barbers really are artists and craftsmen. I go every time. read more

Solid place, good location and atmosphere. Gorky is my guy, he always makes sure his clients are satisfied. He pays attention to detail and that's why I continue to use Gorky! If you are in need of a great haircut and stylist, do not look any further! read more

I've been getting my hair cut by Max for a while now and he always does an amazing job. He's super friendly, flexible with timing, caters to what you want, and very reasonably priced. If you stop in, ask for Max. The guy is a straight up LEGEND. read more

Followed my dude Marco here from his previous shop. Can't speak for all of the barbers (because I don't let anyone else touch my hair) but Marco is a boss. Fades, beard trims, gray blending, straight razor, whatever - he's always had me covered. No idea what you want and terrible at giving directions like me - no problem. I recently trusted him to get me sorted for my engagement shoot and was not disappointed. read more

Just got my hair cut from William, I couldn't be happier with the results. He's extremely professional, and relaxed all at the same time. He takes great pride in his craft, and the time to make sure your hair cut comes out the way it should, he's a true artist. Overall fantastic experience and I will continue going for years to come. Thanks again William! read more

Horrible customer service!! I had an appointment at 4:30 with Craig in which I arrived at 4:20. He made me wait 30 minutes before he attended to me to check my appointment time and after checking, told me that he can fit me in his schedule after his 5 o'clock appointment! These guys definitely don't care about their customers because they are always "booked". This was by faaaaaar the worst experience I've experienced and Craig was very rude and disrespectful in the way he treated/talked to me. I walked out and will NEVER step foot in there again!!!! There are many other barber shops that would love to earn my business.. Regardless how busy they are. read more

Not this place! Service sucks, waited for 20 minutes before anyone talk to me, or even make eye contact! I was clearly being ignored. I finally asked someone for water, only to bring the smallest water cup ever. One of the barbers finished with his current customer and hanged out with the girls working there, completely ignoring that I was there waiting! 40 minutes into the wait the guy asked me what I want to do and it turned out they don't shave heads! Something I could've been told 40 minutes ago if someone asked me. read more

Saw it closes at 6pm on Sunday's, so I decided to check it out. Came in at exactly 4:30pm and was told, that he's only taking one more person and that he'll be closing out. 1 1/2 hours left til closing and you're only taking one more person??? Okay cool whatever. Def not going back here. read more

Marco is my barber and does an amazing job. He takes his time to find out exactly what I want and checks in with me throughout the entire process to make sure he's getting it right all the while making suggestions and giving styling advice. The price is very reasonable and the vibe is great. HIGHLY recommend you check this place out and ask for Marco. read more

Love coming here for a cut. Great atmosphere and incredible service. I started coming here to follow Max when he took up shop there. Max gives an awesome haircut! After getting a terrible haircut somewhere else it was refreshing having someone who knows what their doing and walked me though what he wanted to do with my hair from start to finish. It's always easy to schedule a visit with him, he provides a great service, and is one of the most personable barbers I've worked with. I'm never disappointed with a haircut from Max and I always get loads of compliments after a fresh cut from him. read more
