James was very accommodating and brought me some water as he cleaned up his station. We talked a few minutes about what I wanted and what he saw available to him looking at my hair. This is a new spot in Costa Mesa that is owned by a barber I have used and loved for years, and recommended to all friends and family. James is a stud when it comes to men's cuts. He's a legit barber, meticulous in his craft, and expects nothing but perfection from himself when he cuts my hair. There's no revolving door $5/5-minute cuts here, so if that's what you need, this won't be the shop for you. That being said, I've had $60+ cuts before at "high end" barbers that didn't even come close to what James does. His pricing is very competitive for what you get. I highly suggest giving this studio a try. Call and make an appt, (walk-ins aren't really a thing here from what I've seen). Plan on 45 minutes in the chair, but you get the full service, cut, hot towel, straight razor, etc. You will feel the difference immediately, and be sorry you didn't come in sooner! read more
