Tam has been cutting my hair since I moved here 7 years ago. My barbershops back in the bay couldn't quite get my lineup right. Before I met Tam, I used to only get low fades or tapers. Now I always get mid to high fades with a fresh lineup. He even gave me other cuts like mid to hi low fade and flat top. He's always consistent and worth the wait. Highly recommend this barbershop. I'm relatively new to the area and have been looking for a go-to spot for my haircuts. I've been to around 5 shops so far and this shop will give you the bang for your buck. The couple times that I've been here have been through walk-ins and I've been lucky enough to be seated right away. There's also the option to book online. I've gotten my haircut from 2 different barbers so far so I can say that their haircuts are pretty consistent. If you are looking for fades, you might not get the cleaning fades, but it'll still be better than most shops. Kevin is my go-to barber in Orange County. I usually only go to barbershops with appointment system (near my home in LA) but Kevin is worth the wait in my opinion whenever I'm in the OC. He makes sure that you know what will be done to your hair every step of the way so that the final look is the one you want. He asks questions and gives suggestions about the cut you want. Super chill guy and fantastic barber. Definitely knows what he is doing and takes his time with your haircut. I usually ask for a mid bald fade with a subtle fohawk on top (see attached photo) Pro tip: wash your hair before coming in so it'll be easier for your barber to perfect the haircut. I came in on a Tuesday at around noon and waited about 30mins but expect to wait longer during peak hours (after 4pm when other people usually get off work or on weekends). read more

For a barber shop this is amazing, it's cash only which is fine. It was pretty busy, but I was able to see the guys getting their hair cut while I waited. They were all great. I've been going to basic barber for years, everyone there is extremely talented. I set an appointment for Tam unfortunately he was backed up. He's sent me to the man the myth the legend Vincent! It was my first cut by him haven't really seen the guy in the shop that often but make no mistake, Vincent has the one of the cleanest fades in the business and I've seen Kobe shoot. Need a shave? Vincent has a tougher line than the Dallas cowboys. The straight razor shave by Vincent is smooth like butter. Overall 10/10 if you happen to be a walk in on Tuesday, Wednesdays, Friday or Saturday. I show up to this hellaciously decorated "shop" with a "barber" finishing up with a client who appeared to be a buddy since he walked out with a promise to pay. Then the barber decided that taking a lunch was more important than making money. Their loss, I tip well for hard workers. So many times I went home with a bad haircut and never gave them hard time about it. There were times when my girlfriend told me that my hair is not even on the sides. I know they were new barbers and learning and the only reason that kept me coming here is that they are cheap before I found out that they are cheap for a good reason that they they are not professionals at all and not use to variety of hair types. They are never welcoming, they are always weird, specially the manger always gives uncomfortable eye contact. I come in, set myself and they never say a word, I just don't get it. Despite some of the off putting reviews from Scott and Denny, I went in with my groupon with an indifferent attitude, hoping they will change how i feel about this particular "barber shop". I made an appointment for 2pm on a Sunday afternoon, and I was the only person in there at the time. Note to self: pick a time that's particularly lazier for everyone else, most likely, you'll get Five Star service and attention. My groupon included a wash, cut (duh) and neck/shoulder massage. I was seated and my stylist was Katie. She's amazing and easy going, fun to talk to, too. Easily makes you feel comfortable that she's holding a pair of sharp utensils so dangerously close to your head. True, this place is not fancy shmancy or upscale at all, but the fact that they offer you a drink, alcohol or not, has two large tvs for your visual enjoyment and typically includes a neck/shoulder massage definitely makes it a giant step up from your "typical asian barbershop". My cut was actually pretty average, once I got home and washed again and was able to evaluate it under my normal operating conditions. Katie did a fine job. :) If I had the money every month or so, I would come back for sure. When the cut was done, she styled my hair with some locally owned business/made waxy pomade-y product that not only smelled nice but held up pretty nicely too. Katie then gave me an awesome shoulder/neck massage, granted I think it's awesome cuz I haven't had a massage in over a year (or two!) but still, it's amazing.. especially for us guys that think that massages are for girls (or girly men). I definitely enjoyed my visit and tipped quite handsomely (at least, i think so!). read more
