I came for my 30th birthday dinner with my family, a party of 10 at 7 pm on a Thursday. I couldn't make a reservation for a party that large at that time but the friendly staff and specifically the on-duty manager, Eric, worked hard to accommodate my family and we had a great time! I have been to the Jack Allen's in Round Rock for brunch and loved it. This was my first time at this location and my first time for dinner. It was great! The location is beautiful and they have free valet parking. Our server, Jaclyn really went above and beyond to make sure our party was comfortable and we never had to flag anyone down for drink refills, to clear away plates, etc. Let's start first with the drinks- they have an extensive beer and wine list, but really shine with their cocktails. Per Jaclyn's recommendation I started off with the Tito's Sage & Grapefruit Splash and it was exactly how she described it to me- light, refreshing, and just the perfect amount of sweetness. Other people in my party tried the Deep Eddy Grapefruit Cooler- perfect if you want something a little sweeter, and the Red Handed Smash n' Grab- perfect if you want something with bourbon. Next my brother and I both tried the 360 Twisted Tea which is like the LIT I've spent my whole life searching for. Remember when sweet tea flavored vodka became this huge thing like 7 years ago? *This* drink is what I wish had just been bottled and sold back then. It's AMAZING. Not too sweet, not too overwhelming in one flavor, and I don't feel like an alcoholic while drinking it.... although maybe I'm the only person that experiences that feeling while drinking a standard LIT? But I digress... On to the food- we started with the featured appetizer of the night, Crispy Fried Pork Belly with Richardson Farm flash fried pork belly, tomato pesto cream sauce, Amador Farm baby arugula salad and Two Happy Children Farm grilled corn relish. You guys, as you can see in my profile, I REALLY love pork belly. This dish was just outstanding. Some of my family members thought I was a little crazy but once they had that melt-in-your-mouth experience, they were sold. The tomato pesto cream sauce and arugula brought balance to the flavor profile. Our group got a variety of different entrees and everyone was generally happy and the plates were generally empty. The table favorite was the Grilled Ruby Trout, followed by the Chorizo Stuffed Pork Tenderloin Medallions. I ordered the featured entree, Texas Coast Swordfish with pesto marinated grilled swordfish, Texas roasted herb red potatoes, Gulf crab & grape tomato avocado chutney, white wine & fresh herb butter sauce. I'm not sure what I was expecting but it didn't blow me away. It wasn't bad, just not what I was expecting and didn't stand out. I took the suggested wine pairing and ordered a glass of the Voss Sauvignon Blanc and it did pair very nicely. For dessert, we split their blondie with Amy's Mexican Vanilla ice cream and it was delicious. My favorite brunch spot in Austin. Also favorite place for lunch. Everything on the menu is delicious, the kitchen staff pays attention to details and it shows. Not really sure who is rating this place at four stars and above, without sounding snobbish it must be The suburbanites that do not venture far away from there safe neighborhoods in Austin. Seriously folks? Food was straight off the Sysco truck; I had the crabcake special which was the size of a whataburger hamburger patty. Pasteurized crab and a whole lot of fillet does not make it a Gourmet entree. Appetizer was the spinach cheese ravioli. Again, prefab somewhere, sauced nicely, decent presentation but definitely not homemade. So what was right? Service was fantastic from the wonderful hostess to the server and busboys. Food service was prompt and reasonably priced. No farm to table pretension, portions were plenty to take home after. One of my favorite spots in Austin. I think Jack Allen's hits on all the most important pieces of a successful eatery. Jack Allen's comfortable with a nice dining area inside and outside. The staff has always been on point. Courteous and genuinely concerned with my experience. The food is very very good. I haven't had anything that I didn't enjoy and get full eating. The drinks are also well done. The Mexican Martini is excellent. Lastly, the price is very fair. For what you get I think the price is exactly where it should be. Keep it up Jack! read more

Found this place on Yelp and it looked cool so we drove over from visiting the LBJ Library for happy hour. We loved it! The staff was friendly. The happy hour appetizers were delicious! The queso and the red chili fries were amazing - the hint of lime on the fries is unique but brilliant. I had the hickory and bacon burger (the Fat Jack Burger) and give it a thumbs up. Glad we came. They're farm to table and they locally source. The menu was unique enough that we felt like it was good food with an Austin flair, which is what we wanted. read more

Restaurant met expectations and the food was tasty and well prepared. -2 stars for the Chicken Fried NY Strip being very disappointing. While the meat was very tasty, the chef's didn't remove the gristle before pounding the steak. I've never had to remove gristle from a chicken fried steak before and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

Found it by accident. Will come on purpose next time. Not only great high quality food but the waiter was knowledgeable of all the dishes they served and provided fast friendly service. I drove from Lago Vista, TX to try this place out based on a recommendation from a friend specific to this location. 10/10 would make that trip again because it was a fantastic overall experience. To start we arrived on a Saturday night at 7:45 (prime dinner time) and the hostess was polite and friendly despite how busy she was; she recommended checking the bar area, which is open seating with full menu options. My boyfriend and I found a couple seats and were great immediately by our waitress. She gave us a brief history of Jack Allen's and the local farm to table background. They have nightly specials on the weekends but we ordered from menu and both loved our choices (green chile pork tacos and grilled ruby trout). Overall, the environment, staff, food, and drinks exceeded our expectations. read more

Stay away. Management is horrible, we were loyal customers for past 2 years and managers are such rude people. Gabe and Eric are the worst- we spent over $20,000 here and have been treated like our money spent means nothing. What a shame as Jack is a great guy but his managers at this location don't appreciate their customers. We have met so many former customers who left this place as well saying the same thing. Simply 'THE TASTIEST' casual American food restaurant in Austin......in my opinion. I've been to the other location in Austin, but this one off 360 is by far the better of the two. Same great food, same great service, just nicer ambiance. Our family has been to this location quite a few times and never a disappointment. My top button is about to burst every single time I dine here because I eat EVERYTHING. I cannot leave anything on my plate. And of course the desserts are just as good as the main menu items, so we ask for 4 forks and share. Cannot miss out on dessert! It's delicious food, but it's also QUALITY food. I've eaten at JA off 71, in Round Rock, and now the newest. The service was excellent but my steak salad was just okay. I ordered it medium rare but I got well done. I was on a date so I didn't complain, but had I been with family/friends, it would have been sent back. It was tough, chewy, and not at all what I've ever experience at a JA restaurant. I have now been to the newest Jack Allen's Kitchen location 3 times. JAK has been one of my favorite restaurants in Austin for a long time and I am thrilled there is now a location on 360. There is plenty of parking, which is a huge upside compared to the Oak Hill location. Food and service have been excellent, per usual. I tried the guacamole for the first time and it was delicious. It even had pumpkin seeds in it! The sloppy jack is very tasty if your looking for a good sandwich. Blondie pie is to die for!! read more

Once a week. I am here once a week. Food: Fantastic. Service: Fantastic. There really isn't much else to say. It's gotten to the point where I can't help but "fan girl" over Jack when he happens to be there. It has what is probably one of the best happy hours in town with great deals on drinks and half off apps that you can eat for dinner. Yes, they give you a sample of their pimento cheese, but do yourself a favor and just order the appetizer portion. For dinner, anything on the menu is worth a try. I truly believe you can't go wrong. Their deserts are amazing with my personal favorite being the peanut butter pie. The pastry chef was kind enough to make me my very own peanut butter pie for my birthday which we picked up when we went in for brunch. Oh that reminds me, BRUNCH. Do it, just do it. It's buffet style which means as many trips as you want for one sweet price. Plus they have round rock donuts which should be enough to convince anyone to give it a try. The daily menu specials are a great touch by this place. In fact many nights I contract FOMO knowing I can't make it for dinner. If I could give it no stars, I would. Some of my friends and I met here for dinner and as soon as we sat down our waiter literally threw our coasters at us. From that point on, the wait staff was rude and repeatedly try to rush us out. One of my friends left her scarf at the table and when she went back in to get it, it was gone and they said they didn't know where it was. Just all around terrible experience.
