This Ace is equivalently equipped with other Ace stores however they are well stocked and the service is excellent. When I'm in the Keller area that is my preference over Orange & Blue if possible. They are hardware but so well equipped with what seems to be very engaging floor assistance. Not to mention you can send packages there as well! So awesome! read more

When I first walked in an older gentleman looked me up and down, and didn't even offer to help me. I felt like I wasn't supposed to be in that store. I visited Jabo's Ace Hardware for the first time today. I had a need for a home supply, and I used my app to order online for pick up at curbside. I live about 15 minutes away, and decided just to get on the road. Within minutes, the order was ready. I decided to go inside and pick up one or two other things, and I was so impressed with the service inside the store. Everyone I encountered offered to help. Great neighborhood gem full of nice helpful folks. Everyone's always professional, polite, and eager to hop over and help you with whatever oddity you're looking for. On a good day, I can hop over and grab some BBQ spices or smoker pellets and on bad days I can get PVC piping and couplers to fix a blown out sprinkler line. I would like to preface that like most diy inclined people I had an idea of what I was looking for but not all the perfect words to describe it. Mr. Bob greeted me as I walked right in the door, and as always they ask if they can help you find anything. I tried to describe what I was planning to do and hoping to look for hooks. With patience and a wealth of knowledge more than I had he walked me directly to what I was looking for but continued to ask a couple follow up questions. This led us to a more cost-effective solution that had a couple additional steps, but a better recipe for success in the mini project. Never shipping at ace hardware in Southlake again. I bought some other items at the ace in Justin that I wanted to return. Before I ever brought the items into the southlake store , I took my receipt inside and they said yes they can take them back since they do carry the item. The manager came up and said he couldn't return them because he only sold 4 of them last year. Why does that matter? Your associate told me that if they carry the item they will refund my money. read more

This is my new local Ace. It's actually a little further than the closest big box hardware store, but it still gets my business primarily for all those yellow pull-out drawers filled with doo-hickeys, thing-a-ma-jigs, and what-do-you-call-its. If you need an odd part, chances are you will find it here This store is a little different than my old Ace (http://www.yelp.com/biz/ace-westlake-hardware-fort-worth#hrid:YEW6hAHtePf05aAMfbWDqg). While they do have a popcorn machine, I've never seen it used. This was going to cost them a star, but then this location does something else very well: The garden center. The garden center at this Ace is like a mini botanical garden. In fact, when you find it, you may think you found the secret garden. Seriously, the first time I stumbled upon it, via the door in the back, I could not believe it was here. There is a wonderful selection of plants, plant and garden care products (I've found some very good deals on soils, albeit via rebate) and working fountains. While I do think Ace prices are a bit higher than big box prices, the Ace Rewards Program can help offset that cost. Unlike grocery store cards, this program actually gives you cash back (in the form of store credit). So if you plan to shop in Ace (most all Aces are part of the program) often, don't turn down the card. Oh, and keep an eye on the rebates... Ace is always having rebate deals and most, if not all, can be done on-line without having to clip and send UPCs (very helpful when you just bought the bag of fertilizer and the UPC is on the bag). read more

My Husband had a contractor account and another location the cashier(CARRIE) here flat out told him he could not use it at this location and refused to help him in any way. The customer service here is great! If you have a question they will help you out. The outside plant/fountain center is pretty cool. I can easily imagine spending a few hours there just enjoying the shrubbery and peaceful settings. Prices here are reasonable and if not sometimes better than Lowe's and Home Depot. I came here to purchase weed n feed and saved a few dollars. Same with the air filters here. The ACE brand is just as good as the name brands. While I as there I noticed that the paint center was lined up with lots of people. So I surmise that the paint center is probably top notch. Overall this is a great place for tools and home and garden. I plan to come here next time to purchase more of my gardening needs. read more

Live in Arlington and called looking for an above ground pool they had on their website. I asked if they had this one in stock, was placed on hold and she came back to inform me they did. I asked her if they could possibly hold it for me as I was in Arlington and had to drive over. She was very kind, said sure and even took my name and phone number. Packed up my hubby, grabbed our face masks and off we go. 30 minutes later we arrive to find a line in front due to social distancing, ok, no problem. We stand in line for about 20 minutes waiting our turn then are allowed into the store. I ask the nice lady at the front about the pool I called in about, pretty sure it was the same person I spoke with, and she directs me to the back of the store. Go to the back and ask the guy about my pool. He asks someone else who goes to look. I hear that guy asking on the radio who talked to the lady on the phone about the pool! I'm worried now... another guy comes out, asks me all the same stuff and I go thru the story once more. Now three guys are looking for my pool. About them another older guy walks out of the back and all three of the kids start going ...uh, uh, uh, over here, y'all to her, talk to her. I say you don't even have the pool do you? The guy say no, we never had that pool in stock and nobody knows who spoke with you. I mean come on, the least you could do is be honest and say that the lady never even looked and she lied. What is the point of curbside pickup if you wait 20 mins and then must walk inside only to see four workers standing around chatting while your item sits behind them? I had to leave to go pickup my kids from school and nearly missed it because of the absurd wait time at this store. This is the third time I've had this experience (and yes, I checked in 100% correctly through the email). I will not come back, and encourage everyone else not to either, at least if you value your time and want to do pickup. read more

I drove 35 minutes to this location because I needed to get lights to finish up an install. I usually go to the Carrolton location because the people there are so helpful. CARRIE WOULD NOT HONOR MY CONTRACTOR DISCOUNT. She even refused to help set one up at this location for me because "it would take too much time" I usually don't even take the time to review but this made me furious. If you can avoid interaction with CARRIE please do! She simply did not want to help. I will NEVER return to this location and will continue to visit the Carrolton store. read more

The manager Mr. Fuque, called me a liar, and suggested that I was not a contractor solely because I didn't know their current price for Christmas lights at the contractor rate. I brought my 83 year old mother here so that she could do her Christmas shopping. We had gone thru most of the store and where about to proceed to cash out. She stopped and commented on a star on a tree. Next thing I know there is a display falling to the floor. I looked up and a couple of ladies were moving away and walked out the door. My mother thought she had done something and was completely embarrassed and offered to pay for the damage. She had no idea how it happened but the next thing I know a lady comes over to us and let's us know that the store manager wants to talk to her at the paint counter. We paid for the items that we had in our cart, $358. When my mother went to paint counter to talk to manager, the manager looked like she was writing stuff down and walked away leaving a employee to collect. That alone should be addressed. The next thing I know they are letting my 83 year mother pay for everything that broke. They didn't have time to check a camera so she proceeded to whip out her credit card and pay 158 and some change. I have never seen anything like this in my life. To make a elderly lady who did not know what had happened and no one else seemed not to know either, pay for retail breakage was unbelievable. I will not ever step foot in that store again and my next step is to find out who I report the ADA violations and spacing issues of shelves to. I was sent here from another Jabo's location to get caulking for presumably the same agreed price I bought it at the previous location for. When Tiffany, the manager under Bret the store manager, came up to price match, she was anything but helpful. She refused to honor her sister store's decision. She was downright rude about it. In fact, she was so rude, the surrounding customers got quiet as I nearly, and should have, walked out. Though I needed the product for business, I am appalled an ace hardware store would hire such a weak excuse for a manager. I will never come back here and will warn others. read more

I am not a fan of big box stores. No cashiers. They think they're doing you a favor by selling. So I needed two screws. I had to hang something on Hardiboard. Twist drills won't touch it. So I went ten miles out of my way. Walked in. A guy my age greeted me. Told him what I needed. We walked to the back of the store. He pointed to some screws. Said "This what you need." I grabbed four. Got to the cashier, no line. She asked "How much are they?" I said "Twenty eight cents each." Kaching! I was gone! Love this place. read more

Unless they have something that Ace doesn't, don't bother going to Lowe's or Home Depot. My wife and I live right around the corner from this place. More often than not, I'll walk through the door and someone will be standing in the entryway asking what I need help with. If you feel like doing a project on your own, this is the place to go. I wanted to spray my outside shrubs for spider mites, and I got help from an employee with a degree in horticulture. You can rent all different types of equipment. There is a large outdoor landscaping section, and there's even a Post Office in the back of the store! Everyone at this location genuinely wants to serve you. The team took a lot of time explaining the differences in paint options, painting equipment, and even recommending techniques for us! It was fantastic. Don't you just love the smell of Ace Hardware stores?? It reminds me of the smell of the old mom-and-pop hardware store I used to go to with my old man back home. I swear they must spread sawdust and axle grease around so the place smells the part. Anyhow, this is a great store - on the smaller side but certainly PACKED with all kinds of stuff you'll need.
