It was fun to watch him walk slowly through the isles looking at outdoor signs and decor. At Home gets 5 stars just for variety. if you need something for your home, this place probably has it. It's as big as Walmart, but it's all home stuff. I needed something as simple as 2 bathroom rugs. The selection is huge, but with my luck, didn't have the color I want. I'll check another location. I spent well over an hour just walking the aisles to see what all they have. The wall art, rug section, and outdoor sections are truly huge. Consider me Glenda's scout, because she's going to love this place. Lots of sales and a 10% off coupon for joining the email club. I'm truly impressed with this monstrosity of a store. Management fears those who know how to lead. I'm a very confident infantry marine corporal. It's an all female leadership store, no men in leadership roles. They wrongfully hire based off their needs not what the applicant had applied for. Said management would rather lean up against a wall rather than develop their people skills. read more

It's got cool, fairly priced, some cheap quality, but decorative stuff. Lots of it! The store is ginormous. You can find quite a few things there if you have all the time in the world to browse. I do not have that time. I spent 30 mins walking around the entire store looking for some stuff and an employee!! ANY employees on the floor. There was none beside the cash tenders at the front entrance. So after I circled the place. I went to the front to ask for help. A man came to help and admitted there's only about 5 employees working at a time in this large store. 3 of them were at the registers. One in the back room. And another on break. The size of an At Home is comparable to an avg Walmart or Home Depot. And yet they only have about 5-7 employees working at any given time. My mind can't even comprehend. Let just say... I was very frustrated in the 30 mins I spent wondering around looking for help. I didn't want to have to pull someone off the register. But in the end, that was my last resort. I will have to say they have a lot of stuff. Some pretty. Some basic. Cheaply priced furniture but I think quality matches. I was sitting on some of the chairs and sofas. And they were not comfortable even though the price is decent. The decor here is very comparable to hobby lobby. But on a bigger scale. So it can easily get overwhelming if you don't like too much stuff in one area to look at. Prices are ok. But hobby lobby has their 50% off weekly items. So there are def some things you can get cheaper at hobby lobby. Plus. More employees to help you out. read more

It's a weird time and I totally get that but literally not one employee acknowledged my existence except for on my way out. I came in about a month ago and it was a complete ghost town in the store and originally I went in to find some Halloween decor but hold up! Nope! Not Halloween BUT Christmas was in full effect. Just moved here from Colorado and were forced to find a mattress last minute due to home buying issues. We were able to find a mattress in stock at this location. GREAT! However, it is the most uncomfortable thing I've ever regretfully spent money on. My wife called the store to ask about returning it and said she could return it as long as she had the receipt, we just purchased it Friday night, and the receipt was lost. They were able to obtain our receipt and my wife confirmed we could return it in the store. We strapped the mattress to the roof of our car, since we didn't have the uhaul anymore, and drove the mattress back. Only to be told on the receipt they can't accept returns. However, there is no disclaimer or warnings BEFORE purchasing a mattress that it is not returnable. No signs, no verbal communication, no warnings ANYWHERE except on a receipt. It's too little too late once you've already purchased it. I find these deceptive practices despicable and will never spend $800 with this company ever again. I found a ton of other items I liked, but will not be spending any more hard earned money with this business. read more

The negative experience was upon returning an item the item was accepted without any issues except with a 10 minutes in line when other cashier was waiting on a customer and employee was waiting by the front area working thinking it's not a cashier but a turn out to be a cashier because another customer just walks of the doors and waited on that customer while we had been waiting in line for at least 10 minutes the same front person did our transactions and after the transaction we asked us cashier why she waited on the other lady why she stared at us with those beady eyes for 10 minutes and she mumbled some excuse in Klingon.Totally unprofessional especially in these times read more

At home, a department store lacking in lacking. The shelf space containing wondrous decorum is sturdy enough to support the weight of even a grown human! The positioning of the shelving is ideal, no more bending down to get your face to the stuff you really have taste for! And with spacious, seemingly endless walkways it doesn't feel crowded or cramped to the point of lacking privacy during your shopping endeavors. This place was great the people were helpful and I was able to get everything that I needed plus more. They have a great selection of frames and furniture and really all you can need between. I bought a Christmas tree last year after christmas and I got a really good deal as it was the last one left and a floor model. We took it home and put it away for use this year. When we reassembled it we noticed that every single light bulb was burnt out. We went back to the store and saw another tree with the exact same problem - all of the lights burnt out. The guy working there said it was a known issue. Steve, the manager said that since I took it home and stored it, he wouldn't do anything , basically, it's my problem, too bad. Since it was a pre-lighted tree I thought I might replace all of the bulbs. Steve told me to go to Ace Hardware because he doesn't sell bulbs for his own trees. Again, too bad, not my problem! Hobby Lobby is right around the corner, with the same basic stuff, same basic prices, but far better customer service and accountability. read more

TRUST ME YOU WANNA READ THIS ONE!! Walked in for a quick trip at 9:19 for a basket before they closed at 10 only to be greeted by a bleach blonde older lady yelling across the store that we "have 30 minutes before the doors are closed".... what a welcome right? I was with my mother who loves halloween and she was excited just to see halloween decorations out so early but the tone changed with that comment... so we brush it off and start looking at the decorations on our way to the back where the baskets were when a snarky announcement over the intercom let's us know we have "30 minutes".... then one at "20 minutes".... it's a big store but we could tell (by the parking lot) we were the only customers inside so at this point we felt targeted and rushed.... so we find a basket and are ready to leave but my mom needed to head to the restrooms on the way to the register at about 9:45 when we were greeted by another associate who looked dumbfounded to see us at all. we had an awkward "stare down" before she finally said that the "restrooms were closed for the night" and that "all of the toilets were clogged"?? seems unlikely but okay... so we skipped the restroom and turned to go to the register and 2 other women (the blonde from earlier and another woman) corner us at the bathroom asking if we "have a problem" and if we "have anything we need help finding". my mom politely reminded them it's a big store and there could be customers on the other side too... why were they all right here with us? we walked away to finally just pay and leave but not without a means of contacting corporate. however, the cashier Roni told us there is no corporate number and to "look it up"... and when my mom asked her to write down the managers name (Ursula apparently) for reference, Roni caught unnecessary attitude (ripping paper, throwing phone book, scribble writing, huffing and puffing) and slid over the receipt paper.... I let her know we have had no issues with her personally and that we just felt rushed and annoyed by her coworkers (because i didn't understand why she was so upset) but she continued to have an attitude. why are u trying to fend for your coworkers here... when u know we're contacting corporate and you're wearing your name tag?? having worked in retail for YEARS i know how to act when i'm on the clock... even if the customer was in the wrong i've never given them reason to think they're right based on my attitude and actions... however all we did "wrong" as customers today was be in the store during store hours!! Pretty cool place to poke around in especially during Christmas. 3 stars given because the place is way overpriced. I see items marked up 3X more then other department stores. I grabbed a bag of Lindt chocolate truffles as a gift on the way out recently. No price was readily seen. I made the assumption it would be around the same price I had seen at other stores. I normally watch the scanner with an eagle eye, but this time, I got robbed. Got home and realized the truffles I got were $10.99 before tax!!!!! This same bag is at Walmart for $5.94 and at Fry's for $4.00. I told them that and they didn't even acknowledge that they were price gouging. I returned my truffles and am now $10.99 plus tax richer. Lol. Seriously, though. Watch your pocketbook at this store. There are occasional good deals but they are minimal at best. read more

I've always loved this store for their vast selection even back when they were Garden Ridge. The quality of their stuff has never been great but I've always taken that into consideration for the price. It is just this store. The management and staff are rude, untrained and lack basic knowledge of how their store works. The male tall bald manager was incredibly rude and short tempered. His staff as well as himself were clueless about even basic pricing information. We will try the Hurst store next time I decide to go browse At Home. read more

My mother in-law and I have spent a decent amount of time coming to this store and I have to say there are some FANTASTIC pieces here. She brought me here some time ago and I've come back several times with her since then - I even brought my husband and we were able to find some pretty cool and random fun pieces for our home. The selection is endless and you can find a wide variety of items. The only thing I'm sometimes unable to find are standard pieces - such as standard candlesticks, etc. Overall great selection of items so of course we shall be back! read more

UPDATE: They have since called and said they weren't going to do anything. Sorry. WTH?!?! I had a 12ft prelit Christmas tree that I purchased last year and it quit working. After replacing 300 of the 1000 lights I gave in and called the store. The girl who worked at the store Meaghan said sure bring the tree in and we can exchange it. I take the tree down, box it up and haul it back to the store. As soon as I walk in with the tree, the girl meets me at the store and starts off with I misspoke, what we can do is give you the value of the tree towards a new purchase. She said one penny. Yep, one penny. She said she didn't know for sure if I bought the tree before Christmas or after Christmas for sure so she couldn't help me. I showed her a pic that was time stamped to prove I didn't buy it on clearance. She was like well you'll have to ship it back to the manufacturer. Yeah I am going to ship a 9,000 pound, two person carrying tree back to China?!?! Dumbest thing I ever heard. She goes here let me open another box and give you the warranty contact information. Too bad I can't post a picture of the janky paper with just an email address. Not only that she pulls it out of a 4.5 ft tree not even in the same box as mine. At this point I am furious and I started walking back up to the front of the store and an associate named Amy started laughing at me. I turned around and looked at her and was like do you see me laughing? I am five seconds from knocking all of these Christmas trees over and she just kept laughing. So by the time I got to the front, I was even more upset. I told the girl watch me leave this piece of you know what tree right here in the middle of the floor. Meaghan the associate was like you aren't really gonna leave this here are you? I was like what the heck (I might have used another word there) is it good for? Absolutely nothing? She didn't think I was gonna leave a 12 ft tree in the floor. Then I demanded she call the store manager and she wouldn't she just asked me for my contact information and I gave it to her and she walked away. I was like you have an angry customer that just dumped a tree in the middle of the floor, raising a scene and a stink and she asked for my contact information and just walked away?!! Are you kidding me?!?! No resolution. No we will call you. No here's another tree. Just walked away. OK. I hope she threw her back out hauling that tree to the back. I should go back tomorrow and make her load it in my car. Inconvenience her like she did me dragging that dumb thing up there just to tell me she misspoke. read more
