I came a few weeks ago after I had just shopped at Loft and had my bag from Loft and one from Model Bakery with some bread I just picked up. One of the old white ladies working there actually made me keep my bags from other stores BEHIND THE REGISTER the whole time I shopped! She made it seem like it was for my convenience or something and in the moment I was way too nice and just went along with it. I'm middle eastern for reference. I also look younger than my age but I am 38! The funny thing is I'm a successful software engineer, probably the last person who would steal. I didn't see any other customers bags back there, just mine. I also didn't hear them ask anyone else and they didn't say anything about it being an actual store policy. These old ladies need to get with the times and realize that is absolutely not something that is still acceptable to do in 2025! I still ended up buying a few things but looking back that was totally messed up and I will be returning my stuff soon. Their stuff is for grannies anyway. Then after I checked out, I even had to remind her to give me my bags back, and she even made a comment about how the bag was kind of heavy. I don't know why she was so obsessed with my bags and felt the need to take them from me or make comments about them.. what a weirdo! Well, actually, I do know, it's because she thought I might be a thief because I'm not white :) So odd, and even ignoring the racism it's just bad practice for them. What if my bags got stolen, then they would be liable for losing my stuff. If anything, the fact that I had a shopping bag from Loft, which is just a few doors down should have shown them that I'm actually out here buying stuff. Ridiculous. That will be my first and last time shopping there.. never had this happen to me at any other store.

My first visit was when I was in need of shoes to wear for an interview a girl helped me choose the shoe and the color. Today I was in need of basically my first pair of jeans if you can believe it. I was helped by a girl named Lizzy, I believe her name was, as I was told at the register when I asked. She asked if I needed help and she offered to pick out some straight leg jeans in my size. I ended up leaving with a pair of jeans that fit me perfectly thanks to her suggestions and feedback! It was about $138 at the register, which is a little steep for one pair, but I'll happily pay the price for a pair of jeans that fit me perfectly in the waist, fit my 5'1" frame, and feel soft and comfortable and not scratchy at all. I got the 90's Straight in a 25P. (Thank god they have petite lengths!!!) Super happy with my purchase thanks to Lizzy and will be back for another pair eventually :)
