The selection of clothing there is very diverse and offers choices that suit an individual's desire at a price point I feel is commensurate with the quality of clothing Tommy Bahama offers. I had the pleasure when shopping there to meet the Regional Manager "Willie" from Las Vegas, and the District Manager "Sheila" from Seattle. They both were a pleasure to speak with as they are very friendly, professional, and easygoing. I can truly understand why Tommy Bahama has a successful reputation being represented by these two amazing individuals overseeing the operations of this business. I also want to mention that the employees there are extremely friendly, having extensive knowledge of their product. Specifically I have interacted with Diego, Freddie, Lesli, Sara. In closing, if you are one seeking excellent quality clothing at a reasonable cost I suggest to stop by Tommy Bahama, and look around as even the atmosphere of the store has one feeling they have been transported to Hawaii. I came into the store today to purchase an Island vibe outfit, as I am attending a wedding in September in Hawaii.. Brent was the sales attendant who helped me. He was outstanding. I can't tell you the last time someone spent such quality time helping me with the fit, the options, the colors and the ideas. It felt like I had a custom shopper for me personally. The store is clean stocked well and has ample variety to chosoe from. The Merchandise is priced well considering its a higher end one of a kind niche product. I'm confused, how do I NOT have a review on Tommy Bahamas??? Quality/Quantity - One of my favorite brands, a borderline ambassador! I own way too much of this brand, from the shirts, pants, belts, shoes, socks and even pj's. That $50 off gift card gets me all the time. Atmosphere - I watched you move from main street to the mall. Small location, but in a very high traffic location. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 8pm, and on Sundays from 11am to 6pm. Mall parking; 3-4 hours free depending on the garage. Service - N/A today. Holiday season, way too many customers and not enough employees. That is okay, since I am a self service person anyway. Price - Expensive, but that is the cost for quality. Ordered a pair of shoes online and when they arrived it was obvious they had been worn. (Tag disconnected and spot on shoe). I called customer service (67 minute wait time) so I left my number for a call back. No call back. Drove to the store and asked for an EXCHANGE- same color & size. The salesperson, Mohamed, said no way. These shoes have been worn. (Duh) He went on to say his manager would be very angry at him. I couldn't believe it! He suggested I call Customer Service - hahah - told him I tried that already. I left and vowed never to return. It's kind of sad because I have shopped there for years. I was in the Walnut Creek store this past Wednesday The shoes I purchased were not comfortable. Saturday my husband and I oback to return the shoes, thpep lady was nice asked if there was something else I could exchange them for. I was looking around(I am on a mobility scooter). A few moments later another lady approached bent over got very close and loudly explained she would be helping me. Asking my husband a question lady tells me he doesnt care which one I choose. I told her I was talking to him and yes he cares After getting home I find she never credited me for my shoes I was returning!!!! . Now I have to go back and do this all again. This store is really snotty. I have been in the store several times and no one ever greets me or gives me the time of day. Hello? Would you like to make a sale? Granted, they have beautiful clothes hence the one star, but they are overpriced and many of their dresses are cut from the same pattern so there is not a lot of variety. I received a nice bahama shirt for fathers day which almost immediately suffered an accident on the first day out. I am a frequent customer of Tommy Bahama clothes for my family. The customer service at this location has always been poor but today I had a terrible experience. I had jeans that got white streaks on them after washing but I have no bleach in my house. I looked online and many other people had the same issue. When I took them in to exchange instead of being pleasant and professional the woman just said they sell so many of these and have never seen this. She was dismissive and implied I was lying. An appropriate response would have been "i am really sorry this happened. I haven't seen this before but I'm happy to help you' correct this". I came to the store last week and purchased some clothes. When I paid I was never told their return policy that if you don't have a receipt and you are not in the system then you can only get a store credit. I came today to find out all of this and unfortunately Brandon the store manager had an incredible bad actitud and didn't make this any easier. I would strongly recommend the store to change their policy before more people continues by things at Amazon where they don't give you any bad actitud. I don't recommend coming here. read more

Tommy Bahamas, Walnut Creek location: The purveyors of the decision of picking and choosing who fits their customer "type" explains a lot. I generally refuse to spend my wealth where the folks decide what I can afford based clearly solely on race. My dear friend, a white woman and I, not a white woman walked in and pass three employees standing around using a clipboard to fold shirts. Not one of them spoke or made eye contact. No worries, folding shirts is difficult enough. But a minute or so later, the head shirt folder greeted the next customer, welcomed her, advised her to please let him know if there was anything she needed...customer service at its most annoying but service. By this time shirt folder 2 & 3 were busying themselves trying desperately not to make eye contact with us until another well greeted couple came in and #2 rushed over to help them. SF3 disappeared to the back of the store? From the back, enter the fourth salesperson. A very professional woman who must be tasked to help anyone SFs 1-3 deem unsuitable. She proved to be the only purveyor of class in that act and thusly my friend purchased all that she came for. I often wonder how businesses/brands that allow their employees to profile/operate out in the open as the shirt folders save one felt comfortable doing and I have my answer. Not very well. I read somewhere that the SFs act and all its ugliness will end this fall when Tommy Bahamas closes for good. Bravo. read more

I guess the reviews from the former location didn't carry over to the new so I will take the time to review again. The new location build-out is beautiful, spacious, neat, clean and organized. As always the staff are experienced, knowledgeable and helpful under the guidance of Aaron Elliot, the store manager. I travel to the tropics regularly so the washable silk camp shirts are perfect for that; so comfortable and cool. I have over 30 of them. I have to stay away because I inevitably fall in love with about 4 new arrivals which happen frequently. Thanks to everyone over there for treating me so well. read more

Love the new location of the Tommy Bahama store. So much larger and more expansive and far improved dressing room area. The store looked great for the Christmas season and there were more than enough sales people to assist customers- not always true these days anywhere. A salesman named Stevian was inordinately helpful and very pleasant and accommodating--kudos to him for certain. We have always loved this establishment, but the new location is far more convenient and hopefully will continue to do well commercially. read more

I have shopped at this location for a couple years and have had nothing but positive experiences until today. The former staff was super friendly and helpful, however, it appears that they are all long gone. I called today to see if this store still had an item I was looking for. I had called yesterday and they had the item but wouldn't hold it longer than end of day (?) In any event, I called back today and the girl who answered the phone appeared to have an extremely difficult time helping/understanding me. She didn't listen to my clear description of the item, told me they had shipped everything out, asked if I wanted a different item, etc. Finally, I became frustrated and asked to speak to a manager. I was connected to a young man who was most definitely NOT a manager. After some back and forth, he managed to figure out what item I wanted although now this store didn't have it. He reluctantly agreed to check other stores and informed me that Palo Alto and Napa had the item. Great! I asked him how to go about getting the sweater from one of those locations and he advised me that I could "drive there" (2 hrs away). Gee thanks! I then asked again if I could speak to a manager as this young man was getting extremely flippant and discourteous. I was told she was on a conference call I told him that I would like to speak to a manager or assistant manager and asked for their names so I could call back. He informed me that he didn't have to give out names and that was none of my business! I've been a retail manager for many years in the past and NEVER would a sales associate have been allowed to speak to a customer in the way I was spoken to (before he hung up on me)!!! Tommy Bahama needs a corporate visit to see these two in action. They are a disgrace to customer service. read more
