    No carb burger

    I went to J Dub twice over my three days in Bend this week. It was conveniently close to where I was staying and it was recommended for its delicious hard boiled eggs. They lived up to the recommendation, so we also had our meal there. I ate the no carb burger and my husband the donut burger. Both were very satisfying after a day of adventures. We went back for breakfast on our way out of town and split the huevos rancheros, which was a good choice. The service was friendly and helpful both visits.

    Service was great, friendly and fast. The grilled ahi tacos were superb! Elk burger was good. Rock fish was a bit dark but good, not too greasy. Inviting place with a funny kids menu and big windows to look out as you eat. Clean and inviting. Not too busy for a Friday night.

    We got back from the coast well after lunch and were lucky to get our large party seated at J DUB. There were a few other full tables in the restaurant but we were lucky to have our space to ourselves. The tables lined with paper were great to keep the kids busy coloring. I ordered the wedge salad because who doesn't love eating healthier when given fried food options. The table got their special deviled eggs which they seem to dress differently rather than mix into the egg yolk mixture. My kids had a great time coloring the paper all the way through their meals. The server was very straight forward nothing above or below. We were in and out in pretty good time. We parked on the street around the corner and found a decent spot. Thankfully it was after lunch so it wasn't packed.

    Glaze Doughnut Burger is nothing I have had before so I HAD to try it! It is a smash burger so it is not too heavy with the doughnut. Scrumptious flavors and such a unique idea. Fries were yum and I loved the fry sauce. Server was very nice and the interior of J.DUB is perfect compliment to after being in the great outdoors. I would come back for this burger.

    Went to @j_dubbend today for breakfast after seeing all the great reviews online. Can't believe we have been here ten years and are finally eating here! Didn't disappoint! Server was so nice, food and drinks were amazing. Started off with a couple of Bloody Mary's. The hubby had the regular, I had the Habanero garlic vodka in mine. Spicy goodness! We then ordered our breakfast which came out hot and fast. I had the biscuits and gravy with bacon instead of eggs, and the hubby had the Mr. October. That consisted of a biscuit with chicken fried chicken, egg, bacon, made into a sandwich and smothered with gravy. Along with seasoned fried potatoes. Definitely will go back!

    First I have to say if you have not been here ,GO! This was our first time here Top notch service I believe maybe the guy that was our waiter was the owner but he made sure right away we had drinks refilled Checked on us many times asking if we needed anything and making sure we taken care of the entire meal . The decor super fun industrial yet cozy. I had the chicken fried chicken breakfast. The chicken was juicy and the gravy best home fries I've ever had . Crispy not greasy light and fluffy in the middle . My husband got the Mr October same thing chicken was juicy biscuit were on point delicious. This will be a go to when in bend . Go try it .

    We were looking for a spot to grab a somewhat late dinner. Much of Bend closes up pretty early, but J Dub's listing on Yelp seemed to be the answer to our dinner dilemma. We were greeted quickly and taken to a table in the front half of the establishment (the back half is the pub/bar). When we arrived we were almost by ourselves in the front, but by the time we left the entire front was full of customers. The interior has a bit of a skier vibe to it, with a lot of wood throughout. The food was good. Not anything particularly special, but it did hit the spot and we didn't leave hungry. A head's up to those who are gluten-free, their fries are battered. Once this was noticed, the server was very helpful in getting something else that was safe to eat.

    Bend, Oregon This restaurant is located downtown Bend. They have indoor seating as well as patio seating. There is also a bar at the back of the restaurant. Overall, the place is pretty small. Breakfast is served all day. I ordered the chicken Parmesan sandwich and my husband ordered the donut burger. They come with fries and their special sauce. You can substitute salad, chowder, or a choice of a few other things for a four dollar to five dollar up charge. The tables are butcher paper. They have crayons on the table for you to use. In the front room, skis, and snowboards line the wall. The floors are wood. It is a very casual place. They do have ceramic plates and real cutlery. The donut burger comes with a fried egg on top. My husband ordered clam chowder instead of fries. He said that the donut was overwhelming the taste of the actual burger. Glad he tried it, but he would not get it again. The clam chowder was average. It was thick but not hot. Would have tasted better if it was hot and not warm. The chicken Parmesan was average. The bun was delicious. The marinara sauce was good. Had chunks of tomato. However, the mozzarella on the sandwich was thrown on at last minute, and was not melted, the french fries were warm. It seems to me they have a situation with serving their food, hot or at least keeping it hot. We are seated next to the kitchen, so this is not an issue of getting the food to the table in time. The waiter was kind, but never offered to refill our drinks. I had to hunt him down to get more napkins. I would not come to this restaurant again.

    OMG! I just had the 'Glazed Donut Burger' and it is to die for! I was apprehensive when I first ordered it but took a chance on it and am so glad I did. They cut a glazed donut in half and grill the insides and make that the outside of the donut bun. When you first bite into it you experience the taste of a toasted glazed donut (yummy). The egg does not over power it either and accentuates the burger. The bacon was thick and the perfect crispy. I was very satisfied after it. I definitely recommend this place and this burger,

    This place was banging!!! The corn dogs were piping hot and delicious! Came with mustard which I love. The service was nice and we sat outside. There was a dog of theirs outside as well. Well behaved. We also got a burger to split with the sweet potato tots...omg soooooo good! Try it out lowkey and great!

    Amazing service and amazing food! I got the chicken parm, it was a sub which I didn't realize but it was still delicious. I also ordered the Hawaiian driver with blood orange juice and the tallow fries on the side. Food came out so fast.

It also had a few olives on the side with a red pepper type sauce. I got it with no pickled onions. They had a great beer selection and even a few tasty non-alcoholic beers. Also had kombucha on tap which was delicious (from Humm). Everyone working was super sweet and the vibes were relaxed and casual. Our food came out quick and exactly how we ordered it. They also seemed to have spaces for larger parties, too. They also have a little gift shop if you wanted to pick anything from shirts, to bottle openers, to beer candles and more! Would come back again!

The steak was huge and they cooked it perfectly. The blackening seasoning wasn't quite as flavorful as I am used to, but it was still good. I managed to get through the cap of the ribeye and that was delicious. I also had a glass of wine with my steak that the bartender helped me pick. Everything was really tasty, the restaurant was clean and upscale looking, and the people working there were very nice. It was the perfect way to spoil myself after transporting my foster kitten to Spokane and then driving back to California. I would definitely return if I make a trip through Bend again.

We were seated in the very front of the restaurant, so unfortunately we didn't get to see the back area with the tree trunk growing through the ceiling. It was far too busy for me to feel comfortable wandering around to sightsee inside. It's a cute older building with a traditional pub vibe, and the menu mostly has a slightly elevated pub food to match. Photos of varying significance line the walls. Many seem to reflect famous people who may or may not have been patrons over the years. My boyfriend ordered the fish and chips, and I ordered the mac and cheese with bacon. While both are simple dishes, they were both prepared well and quite tasty. The waitress was very efficient, but also laid back and friendly. We liked her a lot. I don't think you're going to experience a groundbreaking culinary experience here, but we did enjoy the quality of the classic dishes we ordered. The portion of mac and cheese was so big that I took leftovers and had the second half of it for lunch the next day. The prices seemed fair for the portions we received. I would come back here again for the friendly vibe, solid food, and lack of pretentiousness.

Having read the reviews I was prepared to order the stuffed croissant French toast. Last minute change of heart- I ordered the Gobbler, a roast turkey sandwich on a croissant with a flavor profile reminiscent of Thanksgiving. The sweetness of the fig jam played well with the poached pear, savory turkey and peppery arugula. Dessert will have to wait until our next visit. The pastry counter at the front of the restaurant displays cinnamon roles, scones, muffins and impressive cakes. There's even a marionberry and white chocolate bread pudding that would make a wonderful brunch choice.

The menu isn't very large and I think we both settled on choices quickly, deciding to try the most "quintessential" entrees to share. I chose the Blackened Redfish, and my boyfriend the Jambalaya. Even though we had already decided, the waitress went on her whole spiel through the menu highlights, including what we had already had planned to order. Awkward, but it was fine, and we didn't stray from our original choices. The Blackened Redfish was perfectly cooked and flaky. It was served on a bed of mashed potatoes with a slightly tangy sauce. All of it was tasty, but I was a bit disappointed in the lack of spice to the blackening seasoning and the sauce. Also, serving it on grits instead of mashed potatoes would have made it feel 100% more Cajun, even with lack of seasoning. The Jambalaya fared a bit better, although my boyfriend was also left puzzled by the lack of spice to this classic dish. In all ways it was a very good representation of New Orleans style red jambalaya, with the andouille sausage being particularly notable for flavor. The cornbread it came with was pretty good. We shared a piece of chocolate cake for dessert. A very decadent concoction of chocolate, peanut butter, and caramel. It was one of the better $12 slices of cake I've had. Overall? The service was good, if not a bit awkward with the menu spiel. The food was all very well prepared, but for a Cajun style restaurant they sure could stand to spice things up a bit. It's not cheap, but at least the entrees are a full sized meal and you don't have to order many "tiny plates" to cobble together a dinner.
