I have to hire another company now to move the furniture that is on the wrong floor. Boxes labeled 'bedroom' are in the garage! I have never been more stressed about moving. I always give a big tip to these guys and I didn't this time - that should speak volumes in itself. read more

Today, 24 January 2023 was the second time I used them in five weeks. They moved me into my new house in December and did an amazing job. Today they moved my 10 x 10 Storage bin to my new house and set up two bedrooms, TV room, office and dining room. I t was another perfect job. Totally professional crew and a more than reasonable price. I will never use anyone else. Stay away from Bresnahan Moving! They wasted 2 weeks of our time and in the end they canceled our move! They are very non-responsive and irresponsible. We contacted them early on. They offered us two dates after a week of trying to reach them. We called back immediately to confirm one of the dates. We didn't hear back from them for another week despite calling them 5 times. At then end, they said that the dates they themselves offered us have been filled and canceled our move. What was even more disappointing was that they didn't even call us to say that our order has been canceled. We found out the fifth time we tried to reach them. Very disappointed at their service. If you want your move to happen reliability and in a timely fashion, stay away from Bresnahan! read more

WOW! I'm so glad my brother recommended these guys. Joe and his team of 5 had me moved out of my old place in 40 minutes (admittedly a difficult space from which to move), and into my new place all within 3.5 hours. They were fast, efficient, hard-working, funny and very reasonably priced. They even made a quick stop at my brother's to drop off some furniture he was inheriting from me, all in less than 10 minutes! My rating is NEGATIVE 5 STARS! I obtained three pricing quotes from different movers. I went with this company as they were the middle of the road price wise and they were the only ones of the three that said they would remove my wall mounted TV. Mr. Bresnahan Jr. is the one who came to my residence and provided the quote. During that visit we discussed timing and I told him that I was closing on a Monday so I would need a Sunday pick up. I said I was trying to schedule my closing on Monday 8/31/2020 at 11 a.m. but did not have any timing at that moment. He did not mention any restrictions on timing. Once I was ready to confirm that I would be using this mover and I called to put my deposit down (it took a few emails and calls before I got a response) he must have finally consulted the calendar and noticed that the "load" day was a Sunday. He proceed to say that they don't work on Sunday and he would load on Friday. I did not do that of course because I hesitated to sleep on a hard floor with no bed or pay more for two nights in a hotel. I changed my closing date to accommodate his schedule to a load day of Thursday and unload day of Friday. I guess I should have taken that as a bad sign! Once three parties had agreed to change to those dates I confirmed with the wonderful office manager Trish. I put the deposit down and one week before the move I called for timing confirmation. While I was advised that the time was not normally confirmed until the day before Trish was so kind to make sure I received a call from Mr. Bresnahan Jr. that evening. Once I got the call I confirmed the load time and I said that my unload time was 2-2:30pm on Friday 8/31/2020. The first words out of his mouth was "that doesn't work for me!". I was taken aback as one can imagine. He became combative immediately fishing for every detail of my multiple closings that day attempting to Dictate to me how I needed to change my schedule (of three closing mind you) to accommodate his schedule. He said things like "you NEED to tell your real estate agent" and "you NEED to tell the lawyer" that. I told him many times that his behavior and lack of accommodating attitude was unprofessional. He just did not seem to care. He started to yell at me so unfortunately I returned the favor to my dismay. I was trying to salvage the situation only one week from moving. Ultimately he was unbending saying he would not pay his guys overtime and never thought to ask me to pay the overtime either. I was so taken off guard that I did not offer up the suggestion myself. Frankly, the whole situation was surreal!! Not that I believe he would have accepted. It is shocking when you have a company owner yelling at you over the phone. After what seemed like a 30 minute conversation but was probably closer to 15 minutes he asked how I would like my deposit returned. That was the end of that arrangement. I would caution anyone to NEVER even try to use this company. Old school "my way or the highway" attitude. read more

Used to be reliable. After 2 phone calls and a visit to their office still no call back.

If I could give them a zero review I would have. They moved us out of our condo and put our belongings in storage. Our furniture was ALL supposed to be placed in humidity and temperature controlled units. It took me 3 trips to the facility before I finally got the keys to our storage units because "the owner had the keys on him. I'm sure he doesn't have the keys to everyone's units. When I finally got my keys, I found that our furniture wasn't in humidity and temperature controlled units, in fact one of the units smelled like mold and mildew. But it gets worse..... When they moved our belongings from their storage facility to our new house, I was told by Joe the best way to get things done quickly was for me to stay outside by the truck and instruct them where to shell what. EVERY TIME I went inside to check on the status, I was told that JOE needed me outside. What I didn't realize was nothing was being put where it's was supposed to be. Boxes clearly labeled basement were put in the master bedroom closet. A box labeled summer clothes was put in the basement. They filled two bedrooms with so many boxes, there wasn't any room left for the bedroom furniture. When I noticed a very sentimental piece of furniture damaged, I brought it up with JOE. He got within 2 inches of my face and SHOUTED F$$$ YOU at least 10 times, spitting on me every time he said F... If that isn't bad enough, most of our furniture was damaged. BY LAW, if you move from one state to another, they are required to give you a booklet explaining what your rights and responsibilities are. They NEVER gave that to us. They are also required to have a complete inventory of items on the bill of lading, including any damage, they didn't. They are also required to have a process for putting in claims. When you ask about this, JOE will say they haven't had a claim in 15 years. The man never tells the truth. We paid him $5000 to Mo us and we ended up with thousands of dollars of damage. It would have been better but we threw out our furniture and bought new furniture. If you read this, don't say you weren't warned. read more

These guys are terrific. Fast, efficient, damage-free moving at a reasonable cost. Moved just a couple of weeks ago on a 13 degree day. 5-6 guys showed up with a huge truck and got right to work loading furniture from my 2 bdrm apt - took them 20 minutes, despite the ice and cold. In less than an hour, everything was unloaded in my new place; they set up the beds and dresser/mirror, even took a door off the hinges and put it back on! Thanks, guys! read more

Absolutely amazing experience. Family owned and operated business that has been in the area forever. I store my corvette with them and recently had them move me from NY to NH. Everyone dreads moving and packing, but these guys made it less stressful and extremely quick. Not one scratch or dent or anything broken or missing, and completely moved a 3 bedroom house in one day with a 4 hour drive. They were professional and fun, I would recommend them to anyone. They were reliable, on time, paid attention to every detail, strong, organized and nice as could be!!! Bresnahan Movers moved me in 1999 from one home to another in Atkinson when Joe B Sr. was in charge. This past April 2016 they moved me again from a house to a condo, only Joe B Jr. was in charge. He runs a tight ship just like his Dad. He then came back in Sept.2016 for a quick 1 hour move with 5 guys. Back breaking work that they do effortlessly and with a smile.
