Talk about changing numbers on the fly based upon lack of details provided by customer service, the "manager" of the company.
On the night before the move, which was a Sunday night, I got a text from the company asking if I needed boxes for pictures that were to be moved. I reviewed the contract containing the estimate and it started that there were 16 pictures that needed moving. The company was now telling me that I had to pay for those boxes even though the estimate called for the packing and moving of the pictures. This was literally told to me on a Sunday night, about 12 hours before the move. No wiggle room there for me the customer.
At arrival time I had to sign off on the increased price because of the "packaging" of the pictures.
Then the best part of the move came with the extortion of a 3% increase of the original bill if I did not provide a good review of the move by the company, Preferred Movers of Merrimack, NH.
At the end of the move when completing the final paperwork, the driver sent me a request for a review on my IPhone using the Google platform. I was told that if I didn't provide a good review, he was to add 3% to the price of the bill. When I questioned him about this I said that I was never advised about this 3% change to the bill pursuant to a getting good review on Google, and he told me that it's new company policy, a "new company policy" to add 3% to the original price. Without a good review, a new bill would be made up reflecting the 3% increase.
