Only half of the gyro and I'm already full.
    B S.

The aromatic scents called me in from the road. After a cold day working outside, I needed something warm to eat. I was greeted by a friendly cook who quickly took my order and began prepping my food. Within minutes, I had a hot and delicious gyro in my possession. With nice savory sauces, plenty of lettuce and pickled veggies, and tons of delicious hot lamb, this gyro is the best thing I've had on the island. The pita was warm and fresh which made the pairing of it all that much more enjoyable. You get a decent amount of food for only $11! Enough to share, definitely. I will be back again.

Off-menu special: Syrian rice, lamb gyro, chicken, hummus, salad, pita, and all the sauces.

Run--don't walk--to this gem of a food truck! The owner is a sweetheart. He saw my husband and I trying to decide what to order, and offered to make us an off-menu dish with a little of everything. The food is seriously delicious: perfectly cooked rice, tender chicken, flavorful gyro meat, and all the fixins. We both had a large appetite, but could only finish half our plates--the portions are huge! If I lived here, I'd be back multiple times a week.

The falafel combo and the lamb combo were full of spices and flavor. Hope to try out more of the options here someday.

Granted, I am a vegetarian, so I have a different set of options available to me here. I will say it's good to have a diverse list of restaraunt when you are on Vashon Island looking for food so I am super glad this spot exists. However, the flavours lacked for me. It was underwhelming. It's a food truck so ambience is low-key and typically a takeout place. The staff is warm, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring that every guest feels cared for.

We arrived at the food truck around 12:30pm on a Saturday and had a ~10 minute wait to get our food. I got the Kebab meal, which included beef + lamb kebabs over a bed of basmati rice, hummus + pita bread, and a salad. The kebabs were delicious - had a good chew texture-wise and where very hearty and meaty in their taste, they are indeed very filling! The hummus had a subtler flavor in comparison to other hummuses that I've had, but this hummus gives a more homemade feeling to it - goes well with the pita bread and meats in this entrée. The salad was more of a standard tomato, lettuce, and cucumber salad - simple and refreshing to take a bite out of between eating the other options. Overall, spent about $14 - a pretty solid and filling meal given the price and quantity given, you'll definitely get filled up enjoying the homemade nature of the food here! I would recommend you give this cozy food truck a try when you visit Vashon! (4.5 stars!)

This…read morewas exciting to me as I enjoy food from the Middle Eastern part of the world, and the entrees do look very enticing! We went on a Saturday around 2pm and it wasn't too busy at the takeout window. The restaurant is only takeout - there are benches right next to the takeout window, but there are only enough spots for 8 - 12 people (2-3 people per bench). The only other seating is at the nearby street seating offered by the neighboring bars, which I can see being restricted during peak hours. Parking can be very difficult if you plan on driving, there is only street side parking that is usually full, and nearby paid parking in lots. Service is fast, after we got our order, we only waited 5-8 minutes for our food. We got their recommended Soujouk (Beef) and Cheese Wrap for $16. The wrap is long, I would say about 13 - 14 inches long, and I can definitely seeing most people getting full after enjoying one of these. The flavors are nice and you can taste the spices from the sausage - I could taste cinnamon front and center with other earthy spices lingering in an aftertaste. The wrap is very decadent, the cheese is hearty and indulgent and that with the spiced sausage and textural difference with the cucumbers is pleasing. Do note with how indulgent this wrap is, you will accumulate a ton of oil in your wrapper as you enjoy it - a nap afterwards is in your future if you eat a whole wrap! I think that Yalla Seattle is a good stop to try these cuisines in a casual manner and the price is reasonable. There are some other items on the menu that kept my attention and I would totally revisit to try the other items offered by this restaurant.

Yalla is a walk up window, and there are just a couple of benches right outside where you can eat, and according to other reviews you can also go to Montana Bar next door with your food. The menu is posted in a couple places right next to the ordering window, and it's pretty easy to parse. Almost everything there is what I'd consider a "portable food", meaning something you don't need a plate, fork, and knife to eat, which makes sense given that it's not a sit down restaurant. They have veggie saj, meaty saj, mezze, a few sides, and a dessert. I really like their concise menu. We tried the baba ghanoush ($9.5), which comes with saj on the side, a batinjan and labneh saj wrap ($12), and a halloumi grilled cheese (halloumi grilled inside saj, $13). As you can tell, the saj underpins everything at Yalla, and their saj is excellent. Warm, soft, flaky, and tearable, it is perfect for both dipping and wrapping and grilling. The batinjan and labneh wrap is bursting (literally) with tender grilled eggplant, a rich sauce, and tangy, creamy labneh. It is truly one of the most delicious eggplant dishes I've ever had. The halloumi grilled cheese definitely hits the spot, and is more filling than you think by looking at it. Baba ghanoush is so smooth and flavorful, and I love the pomegranate seeds on top! The folks who work there are super nice, very friendly, and food comes out quickly. Prices are very reasonable, and I will definitely be back to try some of their meaty saj! This place is going into my regular rotation, for sure.

Service was friendly and patient as we tried to make decisions and asked questions. I have a friend that kind handle chile spice due to medical condition they were very accommodating when it was needed by having certain sauces on the side. We shared a number of dishes and two bottles of wine. We started with the Hummus bil Lahm ou Snobar, my favorite dish of the evening a hummus with bubbling spiced lamb. Baba Ghanouj, Bisara Munir, Arnabeet, Alhalaioun and the chicken and beef Shish Taouk. Everything was delicious. Flavorful, the proteins were cooked perfectly nice and tender. One of our friends likes meat a lot and hadn't cause he thought it was a vegetarian restaurant. We had to have the green chile sauce on the side of the asparagus dish cause of my friend but that was ok we were putting it in other items we loved it so much. Also the whipped garlic that came with the chicken and beef was a big hit! We had never had Lebanese wine and enjoyed our selections. Love that it felt like a healthier meal with the vegetables and spreads. Didn't feel stuffed after but definitely satisfied. They even comped dessert for my friends birthday which I believe was an orange rose water pudding. Welcoming warm space. Parking is fairly easy on a Tuesday night. Looking forward to visiting again

Both were very flavorful and well balanced. Love the different textures. The roasted broccoli was OK, it was on the less cooked side The entree skewers were pretty good too. Shoutout to the kind service that let me combine and do half beef and half chicken because at the point I was too full from all the appetizers I ordered but still wanted to try both. One thing I really loved about the skewer is the sauces that came on the side: one tahini, one garlic, and one tomato. Such delicious sauces! Entrees were a little pricey though. Last but not least my party enjoyed the special Lebanese wine.

I really like the Za'atar wrap with chicken. The chicken shawarma wrap on its own is good, but the za'atar spice and toasted wrap really bring it up a level. The chicken is a tad dry but the flavor is good and it's covered in creamy sauces. I also love the abundance of herbs and the freshness it adds in the za'atar wrap. I also like the street poutine although it's nothing like poutine. The fries combined with the lentils is super starchy and really filling, so even though it's a side you can eat it as a main meal. The halloumi adds a bit of meatiness and the yogurt adds a cooling freshness. My only problem with them is sometimes they add way too many pickled peppers which can overwhelm everything else.
