Not a bad bottle shop for Vashon Island! There is a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to choose from here. There are gourmet sodas, kombucha and lots of beer primarily within the radius of the local area but a few out of state beer as well. I didn't order any of the food here but the beverage selection in my mind is what you should come for here. Nice, clean and bright place makes this a great break from shopping in Vashon. read more

We got the teriyaki (gluten free) with the white rice and the Mac salad (not gluten free). Teriyaki was fine it was a little too charred for my liking and a bit dry. The sauce was okay. My friends didn't love the Mac salad. The staff were very friendly! The shop is joint with the ice cream shop and you can walk between the two. read more

The food sucks and when I said to my companion that I wasn't sure I was willing to pay $8.00 for a tiny glass of beer, the server said," Well you coulda started with that!! " BAd juice!! My friend and I visited Pop Pop Bottle Shop this past weekend and had lunch there. The space is beautiful and had a fun and relaxing vibe. The shop also had a HUGE selection of wine, cider, and non-alcoholic drinks in the fridge as well as beverages on tap. The food was SO GOOD. I got the deluxe lunch with an egg on top. The chicken was juicy, the salad was refreshing, and the fried crunchy roll had a lot of flavor! I was a little intimidated by the chili crisp oil but it brought it all together! Was really looking forward to a relaxing HH and trying the Deluxe fries. The 2 draft IPAs we tried were not poured well, about 1" of foam and didn't taste fresh or hoppy. Deluxe skinny fries were so disappointing: way too much chili crisp and no curry sauce - do not order this if you don't like 3* spicy!!! Food is served in takeout containers, not very appealing. The bottle/can beer selection is good ($2 fee to drink there); finally got to try Pliny the Elder, dry hopped version. The vibe is definitely not relaxing; the room is so noisy with no sound dampening like carpet or acoustic ceiling tiles. read more

Stopped by during the Annual Strawberry Festival. Indoor dining has a very cute atmosphere but the outdoor dining left something to be desired. Apart from the countless canned beverage options in their fridges, there was a decent selection of beers and wines. I tried the Amber Wine, which was fruity, very orange-y, and dry. We also ordered the Tofu Teriyaki, which came with plenty of rice but not much to eat it with. The tofu pieces were well marinated and flavored with scallions and sesame seeds. The coleslaw was refreshing with the teriyaki. I would stop by again and try another wine! read more

Got a chicken teriyaki meal, Chicken was good, salad was good and crisp, but the rice was dry and undercooked (as others have noted). Also alot of the teriyaki sauce had soaked into a portion of the rice when it needed to be on the chicken. Service was good. Oh ma lurd. Driving from Oregon to visit Vashon and graced by the amazing food and beer at Pop Pop Bottle Shop! The deluxe fries are drenched in this amazing curry and chiles and so so yummy that the table couldn't get enough of. I got the baguette sandwich which is kind of like a bahn mi with a side of Mac which might not be an official side but it's all so yummy and totally hit the spot. The cascade cherry sour was delicious and the kombucha was great. The vibe is pretty bright for an overcast day and there's really friendly service. 10/10 will come again next time I'm on island time! read more

I really wanted to try this place when we were visiting Vashon but I was taken back by the rudeness I experienced by the staff there. It was our first time on Vashon island and I was visiting with my mother, husband, and dog. We saw this place and thought it was so cute and wanted to see if we go there and grab a drink while we eat. Based on the name of the place, I incorrectly assumed that it was a drinks only establishment and that no food was served there. I asked the staff whether I could bring outside food and drink there. Instead of just simply explaining that they do serve food there, I got a super condescending answer and attitude. It made me feel very unwelcome. read more

The place itself has a cute atmosphere and the kids did enjoy their ice cream. Just be warned about the confusing policies about their drinks... my family was on its way to a BYOB backyard music show on Vashon a few weeks ago so we were happy to find that this place sold a variety of beer/wine choices (including six packs of beer, bottles of wine, individual cans of beer/cider, beer on tap, glasses of wine...). We asked if we were allowed to walk out with the cans that we bought or if we had to drink them there, and we were told that either was fine. They explained that there was a corkage fee for the bottles of wine which was fine because we didn't plan to open a bottle. Since we had some time to kill, we decided to sit down to enjoy some of the individual cans and some glasses of wine (poured at their counter and not a purchased bottle) which wasn't a problem. However, one of the men working came over and very sternly talked to my brother in law who later opened a beer from one of the six packs that he bought. Apparently there is a corkage fee for beers if opened from a six pack, but not from the individual cans sold (also: my out of state brother-in-law wasn't with us when this was explained). I feel like this policy should've been better explained, possibly posted or written out somewhere. He could've left it at a simple explanation but was insinuating that it was already explained to us and that we were trying to get away with not paying the fee. The corkage fee for the six packs was never discussed and we were told that we could choose whether to enjoy the drinks we bought there or when we left so you can see where the confusion came from. My brother-in-law stopped and that was that, but that man kept glaring at us behind the counter from afar. While I was sorry that there was a misunderstanding, I didn't appreciate the tone and accusation. read more

Sadly, this is a somewhat typical teriyaki spot. The environment is stark and cavernous. Acoustics were challenging, and not conducive to a relaxing meal. The tofu is good but comes with a lot of rice and almost no salad. The chicken sandwich contained fatty chicken and the other ingredients were not especially flavorful. Owners: please warm the place up with some colorful art and décor, and ask your customers to fill out comment cards before they exit. Agree with Doug that it is super friendly. Nice people. I hope they thrive and can provide food that is a respite from all of the surrounding low quality comfort food options. read more
