Menu Wings, burgers, hand helds, salads, full bar-specialty cocktails. We had the ahi tuna with 2 sides-coleslaw and broccoli. Generous servings! The tuna was in a yummy aioli-peppery custed. The cole slaw sauce was extra good-just enough sauce-not excessively creamy-just right. The broccoli was perfect-not heavily seasoned-just right. Summary Spirts bar with lots of big tv's-great menu-outstanding service, best food ever! Love it!!

They actually know their whiskey, too, which is dangerous in the best possible way. The whiskey selection is outstanding. If you can't find something you like here, the problem might be you. Bourbon, rye, scotch--this place respects brown liquor the way it deserves to be respected. The food is surprisingly great, which is always a pleasant twist when you walk into a whiskey bar. You come for the drinks and end up staying for the meal... and then another drink... and then maybe dessert because why not? The customers are just as friendly as the staff, which somehow feels very on-brand for Branson. People actually talk to each other here. It's like a bar and a community center, but with better cocktails. And the location is perfect--right in the middle of Branson, which is already one of the most unexpectedly fantastic places around. Shows, food, music, friendliness everywhere... Branson just works. Big Whiskey's doesn't try too hard. It doesn't need to. It's just a solid, fun, welcoming spot that gets everything right. Highly recommend--especially if you enjoy good whiskey, good food, and good people.

They also have a kids' menu, even though it is not listed on the regular menu, which is nice to know if you are bringing children with you. The staff is always awesome, friendly, and welcoming. I also love that the restaurant is located inside an old historic hotel, which gives it such a cool atmosphere -- and maybe even a few ghost stories. Overall, it is a great spot with good food, great service, and a fun historic feel. I definitely recommend checking it out.

The poutine was fabulous. The fry coating was crisp and tasty and the gravy was full of flavor. The Reuben sandwich is outstanding! The way they cut that corned beef was nothing short of magic. An egg on there? What? I've never heard of such a thing, but yes please. And I had the brûlée corn; which I may need to learn how to replicate because I've never seen this on any menu in Chicago, but it's too far to travel as often as I'll be thinking about that dish! The old fashions were smooth! Went with vanilla and loved the subtle flavors. Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was a delightful mix of old school pub/English castle. All of it was just what I was hoping to find. Food off the beaten path that deserves a huge shout out. In a town of bland flavors, this place shines like a real gem!

Even though I said never again, I gave them another opportunity because I really like supporting local businesses when I'm in the area. The pizzas were good, hot, and tasty. One pizza was a veggie with Canadian bacon added and the other was all different types of meat. Both were very good. The crust was the regular and very good but next time I might try the thin crust for comparison. The dining area was clean even though the place was packed with families since it was holiday vacation time. Service was good. The young woman on the cash register was a little flustered, but the phone was ringing and people were waiting to order, pick-up, and pay. So that was understandable that she had her hands full. As busy as it was, she was still smiling! You won me back Hook & Ladder! See you next trip!

The drinks were a different story. The cups smelled of bleach and one smelt of rotten eggs. So we ended up asking for to go cups and staff didn't seem to care The lemons on the counter were brown. Not terrible food but not sure if I would come back.

We each got 4 strips, and I was barely able to eat two. There are a lot of sauces to choose from. I got the classic ranch, and garlic Parmesan. Both delicious. This second time around I tried the poutine and the Ozark Street corn. Absolutely delicious. I am craving both the poutine and street corn again right now. The fries on the poutine had a nice mix of soft and crispy. For dessert I got the apple cobbler. It was nice and warm, sweet but not overly sweeet with a scoop of vanilla. My wife enjoyed the side salad but I would probably order something other than the Ozark street corn. It was good. Just not what I enjoy. Overall this is probably the best place in Branson we've found if you want a fried chicken dinner.

Arriving to our resort close to dinner time, I started browsing for some local pizza places I could…read moreorder from. Ozark Mountain Pizza came up as an option not far from where we were staying so I decided to try it. I ordered online the first time (yes we ordered multiple times). It took no time for our order to be ready and it was waiting when I picked it up. I couldn't wait to get home to try the garlic knots so I popped one in my mouth in the car. Divine! It was garlicky, pillowy, and delicious! When I got back to the resort (less a couple garlic knots), we popped open the pizza box and the salad. When I say that I have never seen such fresh lettuce in my life, I am not kidding. It was green and not full of big old chunks of lettuce ribs. It was PERFECT! The pizza was also perfect. Crust pillowy like the garlic knots. Perfect amount of greasy deliciousness. The SECOND time was a few days later when we called and ordered delivery. Same order as before with different toppings on the pizza. Our order taker was very pleasant despite us debating back and forth amongst ourselves the 10:30pm delivery time (it was 9:00pm at the time) and figuring out toppings. It is a true testament that we ordered despite the late arrival time. The delivery driver was super nice and had no problems finding us in our complex. The food result was the same as before - delicious! I can't recommend them enough!
