Thai-Fi Stew Forever Greens Mixed Up - The photo depicts a meal set on a yellow table, including a bowl of rice, a curry dish with vegetables and beans, a green salad on a black plate, and a decorative plate with a spoon. The setting appears casual, with a focus on plant-based dishes.

Second time coming here ! Amazing ambiance that is both relaxing, calm, and home-y. It's a quiet reprieve from the hustle of nyc that allows you to enjoy a delicious and healthy meal. Service is also top notch and Chef Michael is such a kind individual that makes you want to come back. Can't recommend enough !!!

The food is out of this world. Vegan food can be flavorful and delicious. It's here! I hosted a private event in this restaurant and I'm so happy that I did because my guests loved the food. I had a guest who couldn't eat gluten and she still had food to eat. The backyard is beautiful and inside feels like a home. You must order the stir fry.

The Noxtail (Vegan) Ital Veggie Jerk Chicken (Vegan) - A dining table features multiple plates and bowls with vegan Caribbean dishes, including rice, stew, and mixed vegetables. There are cups, glasses, and utensils, with a brown handbag and a person in a leopard print top partially visible. The setting appears to be a restaurant or home dining area.

I have been craving a fantastic , not fried, fresh ingredient style vegan dish. I jumped for joy when the first bite reached my mouth. It was a tough battle between the Thai curry and the Noxtail. Not only was the food incredible but I felt invigorated and full of energy after. The place is humble and comforting. The owner is a gem. I would give more stars if I could. Best Vegan I have had in a long time.

Spicy Green Thumb will "lively up" your greens!

Unpretentious. Healthy. Flavorful. Vegan. Ital is vital you're into that sort of thing. Kitchen is an appropriate name because you as you enter, you feel like you've entered someone's home. It's nestled in between apartment buildings on either side and likely was a home in its past. The chef does his work in an open kitchen so if you want you can watch the construction of your meal. The food has a decidedly Caribbean style and kick so there are vegan takes on curry dishes and brown stews with clever names. But they avoid simple mimickry and allow the vegetables to star on their own with some substantial stews and salad options. We had the Spicy Green Thumb salad which offered avocado toast and mixed greens with a delicate balance of a vinaigrette dressing. It came highly recommended and I see why. The Veggie Jerk Chicken, like the other mock meat stews are served over a traditional Caribbean rice and peas pilaf. Like all "jerks" it has a kick so if you wantt to avoid spicy you might want to try the milder curry or Red Stepper stews. The wait staff was polite, the vibe complete with Bob Marley and the Wailers transported you to a plant based paradise. Next time we look forward to trying the fresh juices. Because we're into that kind of thing.

Wowsers. *insert crazy eyes* lol, so ummmm! Am I being punked?! I read the stellar 5 star reviews and bookmarked this place and randomly happened to be in the area, so stopped in. I walked into a very homely, dim almost dark restaurant and a lively host standing in an open kitchen welcoming me in. Okay!? So I asked, "do I order here?" (As in here in the kitchen). o_O. I was like okay, just roll with it, I'm hungry. I ordered the seemingly overpriced Jerk 'chicken' at $15 for what felt like a hole in the wall. The brown rice and peas was really good, but the jerk chicken was nothing amazing. I mean the restaurant is true to its name--Ital Kitchen. Vegan fare, real vibesy and practically the size of a kitchen. But how on earth did they manage to get a walk thru open kitchen approved. Not a commercial, Buca di Beppo we'll give you a tour of where the magic happens type. More like room for about four people comfortably cramped kitchen that you HAVE to walk through to get to the back yard patio. How?! I got my food to go, but watched as two people did a walk thru, dapped up the chef, browsed the backyard and walked back out. I'll have to pass on this one.

a table and chairs outside - The image shows an outdoor seating area with a round metal table, several metal chairs with cushions, and a sofa with striped and plain pillows. The background includes a wall decorated with colorful artwork and a wooden fence with painted designs. Ivy and vines grow on the building wall, and electrical wires are visible overhead. The setting appears relaxed and eclectic, with a mix of furniture and decorative elements.

What a hidden gem right by the Brooklyn Museum! Chef Mike prepared a delicious spicy curry and vegan jerk chicken over basmati rice while we soaked up the chill vibes in the gorgeous outdoor garden. Thanks to Lauren for taking good care of us. Can't wait to come back!

I love the homey atmosphere in here. It's literally like dining in someone's living room. I love the concept of " homeThe staff is very hard working and friendly. Attentive, giving good advice. We brought our own wine since they are byob. My husband ordered the strawberry lemonade which I'd very gingery. We ended up mixing the lemonade and our Riesling. It was da bomb! On to food. I ordered The fisherman's row which happened to be wild caught salmon with brown rice. The sauce was wonderful. My husband had the jerk chicken, spicy and well seasoned. We shared the avocado salad, fresh mixed greens with lemon juice, good portion. Can I just say, avocado on tostones is the shit! There were about 5-6 of them in the avocado salad. So goooood! For desert, my husband had the strawberry shortcake which he liked. Overall this place is a great choice for dinner. Nice ambiance, great staff and reasonable prices.

The Noxtail (Vegetarian) with rice... Don't let the photo fool you, portion size was an insult.... Not worth $21
Nathalie M.

First time coming here, it's a bit small but cozy. As soon as you walk in you can smell all the delicious aromas in the air. I ordered the Noxtail w/ rice to go. The food is good, but the portions were really small. I'll definitely go back but will dine in hopefully portions will be better when sitting down to eat. If you're paying $21 the portion size should be decent.

I was so excited to try the food. The Chick'n sandwich (lion's mane mushroom) was a 10/10. Honestly, the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. I ordered through Seamless and picked it up since I was in the area, and I'm so glad I did. The sauce was incredibly flavorful with a little spicy, tangy, and creamy balance. The bun was soft, the mushroom was full of flavor, and everything just worked together perfectly. I was actually speechless after the first bite. It was satisfying without feeling heavy, but still substantial. The pickle added the perfect bite and brightness. I got the side salad instead of fries. It looked fresh and was a great size (I haven't tried it yet), but honestly the sandwich is the star. I'm definitely coming back soon to try it with the fries.

My fiancé and his friend visited during a Sunday brunch right at 11am when they opened. We were the first ones in. Seated quickly wherever we wanted, we were given all the time we needed to order. My fiancé got a beer and his friend got the Ethiopian coffee. It was a tasty espresso served with oat milk and sugar on the side. The BEC was recommended by the waiter and it was delicious! The egg was fluffy, the cheese was great, there was plenty of sauce, the toast was perfect. I wish for more potatoes! The scramble was good. The injera is an interesting flavor! It was great as a stir fry. It's a little sour and chewy by itself. The cucumber salad was fresh and great. I'm not a vegan myself, but it's a delicious option for vegans and non-vegans alike.

Sat down thinking I'd do something light and ended up going all in. Ordered their Moroccan eggs with spicy tomato sauce and a side of their famous challah French toast. The eggs came out bubbling hot, perfectly spiced, with that slow-simmered depth that tastes like someone's been making it the same way for years. The bread they serve with it is dangerous... I kept telling myself "last bite" and then immediately going back in. But the French toast was the real moment. Crispy edges, soft inside, not overly eggy, and just the right amount of sweetness. I didn't even use syrup for half of it. Also grabbed a mint tea which felt like the perfect reset in between bites. Service was relaxed but attentive, and the whole place has this warm, slightly chaotic brunch energy that somehow works. Williamsburg has a million brunch spots, but this is one of the few that actually delivers on flavor and not just aesthetics. Definitely coming back... probably too often.

It was a good portion, enough for one to finish. The lentil soup was on the saltier side, and the potatoes with string beans tasted a little fishy. But, altogether, everything was an interesting mix. I felt like I was eating a mix of Chinese- and Indian-inspired food. The mustard greens reminded me of Chinese fare, while the touch of spicy chutney reminded me of Indian cuisine. After the main meal, I tried their fried green tea ice cream. The dessert was beautifully presented, and tasted as I would have expected: a touch of bitterness from the green tea ice cream, covered in batter. While the food was maybe a 4, the ambiance was easily a 5. The artwork was breathtaking! Whoever commissioned the artwork did a great job. At night, they dim the lights and add (fake) candles, so the artwork stands out even more, and the ambiance feels soothing. Service was good. The owner was very accommodating. All in all, Namaste Brooklyn is in a great location in Brooklyn and offers patrons a trip to a different part of the world. Check it out if you're nearby!

I later returned on several occasions and tried their Moon Milk, which is a delicious mixture of turmeric, cardamom, coconut and ashwahganda, the Key to the Garden drink (coconut, nutmeg, cacao, cinnamon and maple), their vanilla chocolate chip cookies and regular chocolate chip cookies. You can get these drinks hot or iced. I had all of them iced! I also had one of the best iced matcha lattes ever from here with sweet coconut milk. WOW. From what I've seen, baked goods change daily and their drink menus change semi often as well, which is exciting!! Outside, there is some seating, lovely items and books for purchase and a window to order, as well as the menu items displayed on boards and items around the space. Inside is quite similar, but with more items for sale and more seating. The vibes are immaculate and this seems to be a space that's community centered and has an emphasis on carrying items made by local artists. Remember to bring cash to tip. There were prices for different items displayed in more than one spot, and not on just one menu. I decided to just order off the top of my head since I couldn't figure it out. In addition to the Hood Healer and Lentil soup I received, as a Yelp Elite, I ordered some tea. The place reminded me of the type of spot that is local, and ancestral, and kind of like -- just ask and see what is available. It gives a small town feel, in a sense. There are books for sale, which was delightful and the books seemed to be titles of varying genres, all fairly priced. The service was excellent, quick and efficient. And very helpful and very friendly. Now that I think of it, the spot could have been a cafe in Diagon Alley (IYKYK). But on the good side of things. I couldn't see inside of the small window from where I ordered my food, but I'm pretty sure there was some sort of magic going on back there based on how tasty the lentil soup was, in addition to the Hood Healer, which after taking one sip, I said, "mmm" out loud. Both the soup and drink were excellent and perfectly seasoned. I could feel the effort that was put into both items and it felt like it was made on the spot from all natural ingredients. I was very heavenly pleasantly surprised.

On that stretch of Metropolitan Ave, you have a lot of options, but Reverie really stands out if you want a brunch spot that feels a little more stylish and special without losing the relaxed Brooklyn energy. Reverie is a vegan restaurant and cocktail bar in Williamsburg, so it already fills a great niche in the neighborhood. The place itself was super cute and had a great brunch feel. We sat on the bench in the corner, which made it feel cozy and gave the whole meal a great energy. The room is polished, warm, and definitely the kind of place that works whether you're doing a casual brunch, meeting friends, or showing someone one of your favorite Williamsburg spots. We ordered the pastrami croissant, bacon egg and cheese, and the herb frittata. The pastrami croissant was easily the winner at the table -- great flavor, great texture, and absolutely worth ordering. Everything else was excellent too, but what really surprised me was the tomato salad that came with the herb frittata. It was insanely good, and the dressing was perfectly balanced. This is the kind of place that reminds you why the Williamsburg brunch scene is so good when it's done right. If you're looking for a vegan brunch in Brooklyn, especially around Williamsburg / Metropolitan Ave, Reverie is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend.
