Wow, what a great experience. I called two other tv mounting services and one had to be called twice before I got an answer the other just never called me back. I called IStar and Anna answered right away. We booked the appointment and Danil was on time and prepared for action Extra points for Danil cuz he had a unique challenge with mounting my TV on a wall with a thick and expensive piece of tile. 3 drill bits later, he got the job done and was a true pro. I LOVE the job he did and would HIGHLY recommend IStar. Don't even bother calling anyone else. Trust me.

I moved and needed to get my television mounted to the wall. Because I had never done this I looked around on Yelp and found this service. After getting five quotes using Yelp I chose IStar. I had communicated back and forth with Danil and got a few calls confirming the date of the appointment and then the day of I got a call because he was running 30 minutes behind. However Danil showed up in the range of time they gave me for the install. He was extremely professional and nice when it came to the install and knew exactly what to do. I was impressed that every thing he did he checked the measurements and the level first before he did the install, then checked them again and balanced everything out to make it just right. IStar is seriously the best!!!!! I reached out to them very late last night thinking I probably wouldn't get a response. "we really wanted to have the new tv mounted the next day" to my surprise Anna responded to me within minutes with a quote and set up the appointment for the next day. She kindly called me today in the morning to let me know the technician would be there in 30 minutes and sure enough he was. Danil was 100% on it. Got started on dismounting and mounting on the new tv in minutes and it came out looking amazing. 100% would recommend to anyone and plan to use them in the future. IStar Services installed did my TV installation at our new home in LA they arrived on time and did an amazing job installing the TV. I was in the process of moving into the house and did not have time to guide the installer as far as where to put it and center the TV he did everything by him self and even went to the store to get me parts I need to have. He did an amazing job installing it in the center like I like and balance in the walls also running the cable to make sure it looks good and concealed. I will be installing two more TVs this week and I will be using them again. Look no further great price right on time and great service. read more

Mounted my TV and hid the wires behind the wall with ease! I was very happy with how easy the whole process was. Our wall actually had very difficult studs so our tech modified the mount and was able to make it work. I would not have been able to do that myself. I will be using them in the future! Do not trust this company! Everything started off well with them. I hired them to mount and conceal a 75 and 65. The 65 was done well and the tech, Dan was helpful and knowledgeable. They came back out for the 75 and during the process the tech found the TV damaged. Understandable, not his fault. We agreed that I would pay him his 168.00 and he would come back out for free whenever I got my replacement to just hang it for me. This was also noted in their Venmo payment. He then asked that I give him the funds as Friends and Family. I did. That was a stupid choice. Within 40 mins of the tech leaving his wife called and said they are now refusing to come back out for free and I would need to pay them their trip charge again!. I said this was not fair and her husband already agreed to this. Her response was "...well just because he is nice and wanted to help you it does not mean we need to do it"...I said "yes it does, exactly!, and again it was not fair or good customer service going forward, she refused. I then said fine, at least reduce it to just the mount install and concealment change and not hanging and she refused as well and wanted the full 168.00 plus a new trip charge. The tech was basically good but his wife can not be trusted and provided awful customer service and was just downright rude over the phone. The call ended badly. She just kept saying "we have great reviews and there is nothing you can do" or when I said I'll write a bad review her response was "you must have a lot of time on your hands". Just a horrible attitude and work ethic. Left bad reviews in five service apps, and contacted Venmo, filed a complaint, and then informed them of their customer service, and them collecting funds as friends and family and not telling the customer if there is an issue we have no recourse. Be aware ! Do not trust anything they promise!! Edit: another company felt so bad how this company treated me, the state they left me in, and their unprofessional methods that they are coming to hang the tv for me. I'll make sure to post a good review for them and recommend them over this one in the future. read more

Wow excellent customer service! I sent a quote request on a Sunday and within minutes I received a reply and got an appt set up for a TV installation above our fireplace that's about 6-7 ft high. The technician installed the TV within 15-20 minutes flat! I was amazed. Originally we had The Geek Squad come out and they told us they couldn't do it because it was too high and the job would require four men and 2 ladders LOL! Guess what IStar Services sent ONE guy NO ladder and did it without breaking a sweat. Highly recommended! read more

You're lying and being shady and freaking out because you couldn't take accountability for your business practices. God I hope this review finds someone and they stay the hell away from this company. I've also received threatening phone calls regarding my review and filed a police report. Along with a consumer complaint with the attorney general for posting my personal home address and number publicly online. Shame on you. You're ridiculous and acting like a child. Keep changing your replies. I'm getting email notifications and screenshotting all of them. ORIGINAL UNEDITED POST: I sincerely dread posting this review but I think it is necessary. Mr Buff was recommended to me by a friend who used them and LOVED them. Mr Buff is extremely nice and they did an excellent job moving things. There's just a couple of things I'd like to point out- 1) I was quoted $401 to move about 5 items of furniture. I moved literally everything else myself. I was also just switching apartments in the same complex, so no real travel. I agreed to this price and it was fine, but looking back, it took, maybe 45 minutes and $401 base (not including tip) seems pretty high. I wish I had figured out alternative means like hiring local guys for cheaper. So I don't feel like I got my money's worth. With that said - my friend moved an entire 2 story house for only $1,500 and feels like she definitely got her moneys worth. So I'm sure across the board, they are likely reasonably priced. 2) And the biggest issue - one of the workers texted my personal cell phone the night following my move saying he got my number from the paperwork and found me intriguing and wants to know more about me. I did call Mr Buff immediately to alert him. Mr Buff told me to block the number. I am mortified that my personal details were taken from the private paperwork by an employee for personal use. He also knows where I live which really concerns me and the fact that I told on him to his boss. Although Mr Buff seemed genuinely upset over this when I called him, I do think there should've been some kind of apology, alert that this would be handled internally, assurance it would not happen again, and follow up that it was handled. Maybe it was handled, idk what happened, but I didn't receive follow up. Either way, I feel bad I have to give a slightly poor rating because Mr Buff does seem great and like he works so terribly hard and I know so many others have had such positive interactions with the company, but I want to share so others are aware and so the company can reinforce appropriate boundaries around customer information. You can also see I called immediately after receiving the terrible text message. Gross.

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!! Very unprofessional and I can't believe all the other reviews are not saying the same thing. First of all i think my technician Daniel was drunk or or on something because I watched him run over all his tools before he even came into my home and I had a gut feeling to cancel the whole appointment just based on how low his comprehension skills were already being exposed since he couldn't follow simple directions to get to my loft. I even asked his wife if he was okay because I just witnessed him run over all his stuff. She later blamed the entire interaction on the heat and was so upset that I thought he was behaving inebriated. Anyways he began to mount my tv and he didn't even introduce himself or ask me any questions so I said to him were you told that I want my cords hidden and he said NO. I advised him that was what I requested so he proceeds to take the tv off the wall and began hacking away at my wall. I literally could have done what he did by myself. We began to argue because I told him that's not what I requested and I did not like it and he said he could not fix it and that's how they conceal the cords. I assured him I've had my tv mounted in the past and the cords are never visible whatsoever and he actually charged me for concealing the cords when we can see the cords plain as day and it looks tacky. He said he could do it the way I wanted but it cost more money and I told him that's fine I can afford it. He was raising his voice so I asked him to wait outside because he was making me very uncomfortable yelling in my home which is my safe place and he refused until I paid him. I was not going to continue to argue with a man with no integrity whatsoever over $119. So I hurried up and paid him so he could get out of my home. He did not clean up his mess nor wipe down my tv after leaving it filthy from his dirty hands. I watched him drive off while scraping the curb on his way out LOL Now I have to hire someone to do it the correct way AND FIX HIS MISTAKES. SMH! read more

My two year old smashed my phone today and I got really upset. It was impossible to see anything because of all the cracks. Moreover, it was even dangerous to hold the phone in my hands and I almost cut my finger. I searched for iPhone repair in the Yelp and fortunately found a place really close to my home. I was able to make an appointment within 15 minutes and it took the guy in the office only 10 minutes to change my screen. The employees were very nice and helpful. An excellent job! My project involved a motorized TV Mount that flips over to hide the 65" TV when not in use. After 2 other installers declined to tackle it, Danil took the time to understand the complex requirements (20 pages of installation instructions) and did a fine job. Very punctual, professional and neat. He also installed another TV the same day on a conventional wall mount. No issues. He's very friendly and helpful and I enjoyed working with him, and with Anna on the phone. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again. read more

After reading through horror stories of people getting their TVs mounted I was nervous my new wall was going to get messed up. I stumbled upon ISTAR services on yelp and saw they had amazing reviews. I spoke with Anna who was very sweet. Danil came today and was extremely professional. He was super knowledgeable , he came in and knew exactly what he had to do.
