Wow, what a great experience. I called two other tv mounting services and one had to be called twice before I got an answer the other just never called me back. I called IStar and Anna answered right away. We booked the appointment and Danil was on time and prepared for action Extra points for Danil cuz he had a unique challenge with mounting my TV on a wall with a thick and expensive piece of tile. 3 drill bits later, he got the job done and was a true pro. I moved and needed to get my television mounted to the wall. Because I had never done this I looked around on Yelp and found this service. After getting five quotes using Yelp I chose IStar. I had communicated back and forth with Danil and got a few calls confirming the date of the appointment and then the day of I got a call because he was running 30 minutes behind. However Danil showed up in the range of time they gave me for the install. He was extremely professional and nice when it came to the install and knew exactly what to do. I was impressed that every thing he did he checked the measurements and the level first before he did the install, then checked them again and balanced everything out to make it just right. Several weeks ago I called IStar Services to have a TV I had purchased in early August mounted to my family room's wall. The caveat to this particular wall mount involved a proprietary Samsung mount that features a "no gap" design, allowing the TV to be mounted as close to the wall as possible, enabling it to basically look like a picture hanging on the wall, as opposed to a big black rectangle. I called other TV mounting services (all highly rated on Yelp!) and they were all unwilling due to having no prior experience with this type of mount. IStar confirmed prior experience and was up to the task. The trouble with this particular wall mount (online reviews will confirm) is that it is predominantly designed for European markets where concrete/brick walls are more prevalent and not where typical wall stud spacing needs to be taken into consideration. In a nutshell, Samsung's "no gap" wall mount is a poor design for the typical drywall / stud-type walls. Danil tackled the job, employing a bit of ingenuity and securely mounted my 75" TV to my wall. Danil is polite, and his work ethic is commendable as he kept at it until he managed to find a way to mount the TV using the special mount, hide the wires, etc. He cleaned the area up nicely and completed the job in about an hour. I plan to mount another TV when I replace my master bedroom's unit within the next few months (this time around, I won't be utilizing Samsung's "no-gap" wall mount). : ) I will no doubt be giving IStar a call once I'm ready to mount my next TV. Great install and mounting the guy could of been a little friendlier and at first he acted like he was doing this for the first time. All and all very happy with the outcome. The price was ok first seemed like a great deal at first and then $49 was added on at the end for each tv to cut the dry wall and hide the cords. I was told this at first but I thought it was for the wall cables concealing kit not the labor which I already purchased from Amazon. read more

Found them on yelp base on the good reviews, called a guy showed up he did a clean job although it was his first time mounting a TV on the wall he did a great job. I'm totally kidding it wasn't his first time he was very fast and efficient, and let's not forget to mention very neat. Although I had better drills he mount the 60" TV and no he did not use my drill, he had his own. I would recommend this service, thank you read more

Daniel and Anna are great!! Only 30 mins to change my MacBook Air 13 inches screen. My screen was totally broken and they just fixed it in 30 mins. Anna did good communications and there is a 60 days warranty. And the price is reasonable. Definitely gonna come back here! ----------------------------------------------- *Update: it's just been a month since i took my laptop there and got my screen fixed. But the screen is showing up a problem again.the left side of the screen is vague and flashing in a different color. I did not do anything harsh towards the computer. I take care of it nicely this time. But this come too fast that's far below my expectation. It looks like that they are using cheap screens ordered on eBay or something to fix your MacBook. Also the color tone of new screen have changed, from a clear color to a blue tone color! Be aware of that! read more

Where do I start?! Love, love, love this company! From the moment I sent an inquiry, I was impressed! Anna responded to me within 5 minutes and answered all of my questions. I told her I wanted someone to come out within 3 days and, within 3 days, both of my tv's were hung up with all of their cords hidden behind the wall. A+ service from the expert that assisted me. Although I don't recall his name, he was EXTREMELY respectful, patient, knowledgeable and kind- not to mention he hung both of my tv's within 30 minutes! I moved to a new apartment so I needed my 65" TV remounted. I called in to schedule an appointment. They asked about the specifics and I told them that there was a wall plate by an outlet that looked like it was prewired and setup for mounting a TV. They gave me a quick quote and we scheduled the appointment for the next morning. I had requested 4x HDMI and 1x Cat6 be ran and my own previously used low profile TV mount be used. The prewired panel could not be used so new cutouts were done to run the cables through the wall. The cutouts were done very well and at my request the lower cutout was done at a lower height so it would be hidden by the furniture under the TV. I showed a quick picture of my previous setup at my old apartment and they replicated the height perfectly. Afterwards, the mess was cleaned up and everything was moved back to its original place. I am very happy with the customer service provided and If I ever move to a new apartment/house again, I will be sure to call these guys for mounting my TV. read more

1:00pm Dropped my iPhone 6, face down, screen shattered :( 4:30pm Searched for good places on Yelp to fix my screen on the same day with a reasonable price, but most closed at 5pm! Need my phone for work tomorrow so waiting wasn't an option. Found iStar (whose hours are till 9pm on Saturday, but after 6pm is appointment only). Called right away and made an appointment for 7pm! Anna called me at 6:30pm to make sure I was coming. 7:05pm Drove up to iStar, dark colored building with red accents and a glass installation above the doorway. Did some paperwork. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!! Very unprofessional and I can't believe all the other reviews are not saying the same thing. First of all i think my technician Daniel was drunk or or on something because I watched him run over all his tools before he even came into my home and I had a gut feeling to cancel the whole appointment just based on how low his comprehension skills were already being exposed since he couldn't follow simple directions to get to my loft. I even asked his wife if he was okay because I just witnessed him run over all his stuff. She later blamed the entire interaction on the heat and was so upset that I thought he was behaving inebriated. Anyways he began to mount my tv and he didn't even introduce himself or ask me any questions so I said to him were you told that I want my cords hidden and he said NO. I advised him that was what I requested so he proceeds to take the tv off the wall and began hacking away at my wall. I literally could have done what he did by myself. We began to argue because I told him that's not what I requested and I did not like it and he said he could not fix it and that's how they conceal the cords. I assured him I've had my tv mounted in the past and the cords are never visible whatsoever and he actually charged me for concealing the cords when we can see the cords plain as day and it looks tacky. He said he could do it the way I wanted but it cost more money and I told him that's fine I can afford it. He was raising his voice so I asked him to wait outside because he was making me very uncomfortable yelling in my home which is my safe place and he refused until I paid him. I was not going to continue to argue with a man with no integrity whatsoever over $119. So I hurried up and paid him so he could get out of my home. He did not clean up his mess nor wipe down my tv after leaving it filthy from his dirty hands. I watched him drive off while scraping the curb on his way out LOL Now I have to hire someone to do it the correct way AND FIX HIS MISTAKES. SMH! read more

My two year old smashed my phone today and I got really upset. It was impossible to see anything because of all the cracks. Moreover, it was even dangerous to hold the phone in my hands and I almost cut my finger. I searched for iPhone repair in the Yelp and fortunately found a place really close to my home. I was able to make an appointment within 15 minutes and it took the guy in the office only 10 minutes to change my screen. The employees were very nice and helpful. An excellent job! My project involved a motorized TV Mount that flips over to hide the 65" TV when not in use. After 2 other installers declined to tackle it, Danil took the time to understand the complex requirements (20 pages of installation instructions) and did a fine job. Very punctual, professional and neat. He also installed another TV the same day on a conventional wall mount. No issues. He's very friendly and helpful and I enjoyed working with him, and with Anna on the phone. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again. read more
