Several weeks ago I called IStar Services to have a TV I had purchased in early August mounted to my family room's wall. The caveat to this particular wall mount involved a proprietary Samsung mount that features a "no gap" design, allowing the TV to be mounted as close to the wall as possible, enabling it to basically look like a picture hanging on the wall, as opposed to a big black rectangle. I called other TV mounting services (all highly rated on Yelp!) and they were all unwilling due to having no prior experience with this type of mount. IStar confirmed prior experience and was up to the task. The trouble with this particular wall mount (online reviews will confirm) is that it is predominantly designed for European markets where concrete/brick walls are more prevalent and not where typical wall stud spacing needs to be taken into consideration. In a nutshell, Samsung's "no gap" wall mount is a poor design for the typical drywall / stud-type walls. Danil tackled the job, employing a bit of ingenuity and securely mounted my 75" TV to my wall. Danil is polite, and his work ethic is commendable as he kept at it until he managed to find a way to mount the TV using the special mount, hide the wires, etc. He cleaned the area up nicely and completed the job in about an hour. I plan to mount another TV when I replace my master bedroom's unit within the next few months (this time around, I won't be utilizing Samsung's "no-gap" wall mount). : ) I will no doubt be giving IStar a call once I'm ready to mount my next TV. Great install and mounting the guy could of been a little friendlier and at first he acted like he was doing this for the first time. All and all very happy with the outcome. The price was ok first seemed like a great deal at first and then $49 was added on at the end for each tv to cut the dry wall and hide the cords. I moved to a new apartment so I needed my 65" TV remounted. I called in to schedule an appointment. They asked about the specifics and I told them that there was a wall plate by an outlet that looked like it was prewired and setup for mounting a TV. They gave me a quick quote and we scheduled the appointment for the next morning. I had requested 4x HDMI and 1x Cat6 be ran and my own previously used low profile TV mount be used. The prewired panel could not be used so new cutouts were done to run the cables through the wall. The cutouts were done very well and at my request the lower cutout was done at a lower height so it would be hidden by the furniture under the TV. I showed a quick picture of my previous setup at my old apartment and they replicated the height perfectly. Afterwards, the mess was cleaned up and everything was moved back to its original place. I am very happy with the customer service provided and If I ever move to a new apartment/house again, I will be sure to call these guys for mounting my TV. read more
