I never really thought to combine matcha and cinnamon, but this flavor pairing worked surprisingly well. Their cinnamon cream was balanced in sweetness and spice. The matcha latte itself had a good matcha powder to milk ratio. It wasn't the strongest matcha I've had, but it also didn't taste like mostly milk, either. When the cafe is full, it gets pretty loud, and the sounds reverberate throughout the small space. However, it's pretty chill when there's less people. Service is also fast. I love that there's also a restroom across the back hall. I'm curious about their pastries and other menu items. If an add-on is no longer allowed it should be removed instead they attempted to upcharge me and tell me I can't add the purée even though it's listed as an add on the same way the cream top is...ave then the employees proceeded laugh a stifled laugh. Needless to say I'm disappointed in the service and regardless of how much I previously loved Cafe Fever and had it ranked at #1 it's now become a bit scammy with bad service and will no longer be going.

I'm glad this place opened up in my hometown. Cerritos was definitely lacking an açaí place and Island Bodega fills the void. You can't go wrong customizing your own bowl with unlimited toppings for free! The small is $7 and is worth it. They pack your bowl with whatever bases you'd like from acai, pitaya, blue island, matcha, and coconut cream. I got the açaí and blue island and excited to try the other flavors next time. They sure don't skimp on the toppings here and you can get as many toppings as you'd like. When I went here one girl got literally everything and the guy Jeff made the bowl look so aesthetic. There's another girl here too that is super patient and has the best customer service she's Asian with glasses. Parking here is a little easier to find since it's on the corner lot so you can utilize Aldis parking or behind the building. Don't forget to try their island bodega latte iced. It's def my top 3 coffees of all time. It just blends in together so smoothly and I can't find this flavor anywhere else! I'm definitely going to frequent Island Bodega when I can cause it makes a good meal replacement for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. But today it was my dessert! I had the most delicious acai bowl ever at Island Bodega. It was so refreshing and totally energizing. I ordered the blue chia bowl, which had acai, matcha, blue chia, banana, strawberry, blueberries, and kiwi. The fruits were super fresh and the toppings were generous. I loved the hemp granola and the cacao nibs that added some crunch and flavor. The bowl was also very filling and satisfying. The customer service was very nice and friendly. They greeted me with a smile and took my order quickly. The shop was clean and cozy, with lots of plants and a good vibe. I enjoyed sitting at the counter and watching them make the bowls. The service has noticeably declined, with employees being unpleasant and lacking basic courtesy. Additionally, my family and I are very dissatisfied with the quality of the bananas you now carry. I was looking for poke for lunch 12/18/19 at 12:05pm but ended up going to this newly soft opened acai place. Gorgeous looking and well built, plenty of seating arrangements. First thing you'll notice is the lit up turtle on the wall and window which is a nice touch for pics. They had ENDLESS amount of toppings and drizzles condiments, I've had a couple of acai bowls in Hawaii but having it closer to home less than 3 miles is a kudo! The staff was super friendly and outgoing! You can try samples if you're not familiar which I recommend doing for first timers! Menu is super easy and pricing is on point. (Man this city has everything) I stumbled across this place because I used to take all my shawtys to North Shore but it closed down. The toppings also were yummy and fresh. Overall, I loved my bowl and will definitely be returning. The store itself is clean and I love the decor! Service was also friendly and efficient. There are some seats inside if you wanted to have your drink or bowl there, but most people, including myself, took it to go. The store is located in a pretty large plaza with plenty of parking.

My last two visits, I was the only customer in the store, yet it took over 10 minutes to receive my single drink because the employees are gossiping the whole time. I never complain and am extremely patient, but it's extremely frustrating when they're talking about boy drama and pausing in between making my drink to finish their conversation. Sadly won't be back as it's faster to get a smoothie next door at Sprouts.

Knead Donuts, located in the bustling Cerritos Promenade, has been serving artisan donuts in the city for several years, now. Strawberry Crunch- Highly enjoyable, topped with a slice of fresh strawberry, the Strawberry Crunch didn't feel as guilty as a double chocolate covered everything donut. The crumbs sprinkled on top providing texture to the fluffy donut, and I was quite happy with my pick. My initial visit was a 2 years ago. On my more recent occasion, I stopped by to see what's new. Knead closes at 1pm on weekdays (Monday closed, till 9pm Sat & Sun), and being approximately 30 minutes to close, two boxes of assorted donuts were left to choose from. Knead's Dubai Chocolate donut was a whopping $8! I tried to haggle the price down, both individually or with another donut, to no avail. No way was I planning to buy a whole box, either. Prices vary around $6-$8. Aware prices have gone up everywhere, that's still too much, in my summation, for donuts. In addition, not being a big donut guy, I don't foresee being a frequent customer. Knead Donuts does sell beautifully crafted donuts, which would satisfy even the most critical sugar junkie, but with premium pricing attached to each donut, can't justify the money spent, for my needs.

This is a rolled ice cream place which is not my typical style of ice cream that I like, so I just shared with my wife. My wife ordered a salted caramel with coffee. The show is the exciting part. They take the cream mixture to the frozen surface and start mixing all the ingredients until it becomes frozen and then they roll it up to little rolled ice cream scrolls. It was very tasty and light. The guy was very nice because usually you can only do one flavor, but my wife sweet talked the guy and he added the coffee to give it the salted caramel coffee ice cream.

The staff were friendly & hospitable, giving recommendations for those new to the cafe. There is a good amount of seating inside. The cafe is long, with tables on each side. There is a soon to be open Cafe Palestina Study Hall, next door. Parking is via a shared private lot. Cafe Palestina is a great coffee & tea shop, which I look forward to becoming a regular.
