Island Bodega is such a cute spot! We ordered the strawberry smoothie and it was 8/10. The space is super cute and has a really relaxed vibe, so you could definitely come by, grab something, and hang out for a while. They also have açaí bowls that looked really good, although we didn't get a chance to try them this time. The workers were also really nice and welcoming. Definitely a spot we'd come back to!

I always forget about this place but it's really good and always busy. I like to customize my bowls, but they have a lot of menu items that your can simply choose off off. I like that they offer various base options beyond açaí. Overall very solid spot and love that it's close to me!

I was craving a healthy breakfast, so my husband decided to get acai from here. We ordered via third party app. The app was very easy to place an order. It's just like ordering at the actual place. I ordered a custom & coffee. First you choose the size of your bowl, then your latte, iced or cold, and milk selection for your drink. Then you get to customizing your acai bowl. First you choose your base, then granolas, chia seed pudding, fruits, toppings, nut butters/ sweeteners, and lastly powders. Then you get to the section if you want to order/ add extras. Thry also have pre-made bowls. It shows what's in the bowl and if you want to omit or add anything. My husband got the island bowl. I would definitely try this place out again. We were very happy and satisfied.

First time here and I can see why the line is so long at 9:30pm! I was craving an açaí bowl and of course at 9pm all places are closed. Thank you Yelp for leading me to this little popular gem! They have a wide selection of bowls with so many ingredients to chose from. They have 3 friendly workers asking what ingredients you want, each at a different station of items, like base, fruits and dry toppings. Anything can be customized around the bowl you chose from their menu or make one of your own. The ambiance is totally chill but with only 3 tables be ready to take it to go if there's no room. They do have a lot of free standing chairs to hang around in as well. Glad I was able to satisfy my sweet tooth tonight with a healthy option. I'll be back!

One of my favorite acai spots in Long Beach! The bowls are always fresh, delicious, and satisfying. Some of my fav topics are pumpkin seeds and almond slices for a healthy crunch (skip or go light on granola). I love kiwis and not very many acai shops offer it. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming. Definitely a go-to whenever I'm craving a good acai.

Island Bodega Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Island Bodega

Is the Pitaya base made of pure fruit or does it have sweetener or other juice/fruit mix added?

Hi what can be made with No sugar?

I don't think they offer anything sugar free

Is the granola gluten free?

No, all of our granolas contain gluten.

Do you do points? This place do points with CashApp I wished one of the worker had told me soon been coming here a few times already and could of earned at least 36 -45 points by now.

on the screen it's before you pay where it says "sign up/see rewards" on the right in blue and also after the receipt option!

Is coconut cream still offered as a base?

I was just in there & they mentioned it runs out fast. They had another flavor sold out that day too. 😩

Is this place authentically Brazilian?

No, it is not

Do they have vegan options?

I think most of their bases are vegan and they have agave as a topping. As for the granola, asl which one has honey/egg whites etc

What food delivery service do they work with?

Grubhub, Doordash, Postmates, and Ubereats

They offer build your own bowls here with a decent amount of options for bases and toppings. Toppings are also unlimited here which is a +1 in my book. I opted to get an ube base here and WOW their ube base here is some of the best I've had--100000000% would recommend. The ube flavor is strong and the texture itself was smooth and creamy. The toppings also were yummy and fresh. Overall, I loved my bowl and will definitely be returning. The store itself is clean and I love the decor! Service was also friendly and efficient. There are some seats inside if you wanted to have your drink or bowl there, but most people, including myself, took it to go. The store is located in a pretty large plaza with plenty of parking.

The drinks themselves are delicious and why I've continued coming back, but the service is so incredibly slow. My last two visits, I was the only customer in the store, yet it took over 10 minutes to receive my single drink because the employees are gossiping the whole time. I never complain and am extremely patient, but it's extremely frustrating when they're talking about boy drama and pausing in between making my drink to finish their conversation. Sadly won't be back as it's faster to get a smoothie next door at Sprouts.

They are located at the Los Altos Shopping Center. Plenty of parking at the front. Just an fyi there is also some parking on the other side of Trader Joe's. I didn't know this at first, but Pur Bowls share the same biz space as Nguyen's Kitchen. Two in one! Cool!! Exterior has a couple tables and some chairs. Interior has a bit more seating. Simple decor with bright lights. You'll have to walk straight in and right to order. I was greeted immediately with a smile and nice welcome upon entry. Thank you young lady! They have their house-created favorites such as Amazon, Cacao, Mango Chamoy, Dragon, Green Goodness, Island, Tropical, and Very Berry Bowls or you may build your own (BYO) acai or fruit bowl. BYO works like this... you choose a size (12 oz $11, 16 oz $13, 24 oz $15 (this is a steal!), select up to two bases (acai, pitaya, matcha, coconut, cacao, and selective fruits), then fill the bowl with the toppings you want. You pay for the size you want, not for each topping that fits inside the bowl. Bases are made without cane sugar and granolas are certified gluten free. I went with the BYO 16 oz option. I was tempted to get the 24 oz for an extra $2, but I didn't. Now that I think back, I should have gone BIG. I know better next time. Anyway, got the coconut and mango bases plus a whole lot of toppings that filled the bowl to the top. It was so refreshingly good and delicious. Love the natural flavors all around from bases to toppings. Thank you Pur Bowls! Btw, this LB location opens until 1 AM daily. Come get you some acai bowl while burning the midnight oil! I'll sure to be back the next time when I'm in the LB area.
