I have eaten at this restaurant multiple times. Excellent food, also a good option for brunch.

Kevin and Ali were great. Kevin took my reservation over the phone and sent me a Yelp Seatme confirmation. Ali greeted us at the door and was nothing but nice and attentive the entire time although brunch was busy as heck. Bottomless mimosas were also amazing to go with Ali repeating the menu for us because they have so many flavors to rotate between. Very pristinely clean restaurant. Bathrooms were also very vintage style and clean. Overall best brunch in Peekskill. -Gabby&Joey- read more

Iron Vine - Yummy, and six bottomless flavors mimosas! - Tapas Bars Near Me - Peekskill, New York

We entered Iron Vine with high expectations. The intimate cozy decor of the restaurant gave a very strong first impression on this chilly Peekskill evening. Then we were seated and began our meal.... The early first impression soon vanished as the evening slowly became a disappointing reality. Our starters included two orders of a boring and somewhat tasteless Vegetarian Empanada. The suggested "Avocado Croquetta" Special fared better due primarily to the accompanying spicy dipping sauce. For our main selections the "Hamburguesa Japones" - ground chicken burger - was dry and overcooked. Eating became forced with this selection. Both the "Pollo Relleno" (chicken breast, ham, spinach) and the salmon special were acceptable with the chicken offering being the better of the two. However the recommended "Seafood Platter" -priced high at $32 - was a total failure. The fish arrived dry - the mashed potatoes cold and eating this offering was also a chore - and dangerous as the dry shrimp skewers were difficult to remove resulting in a minor finger stab. Service for the most part was acceptable. The one mistake - no mention was made of the accompanying sauce on the salmon special until the meal actually arrived. Thankfully it wasn't an issue or we may still be there. read more

I'd like to update my review. I came back here a year after my last review and I'd like to say the food has improved 100%. Absolutely delicious and I recommend it. They must have a new cook because the food is great. Don't lose this guy! read more

I was here for the first time in 2 years and the experience was fantastic. Great food, amazing service (oped). Friendly, Fast, highly impressive, especially considering the changes because of Covid. I will definitely return. Give them a try. read more

Went here with us with three of my friends for a birthday outing. Drinks for me a little expensive but my friends really enjoyed the bar specials. Jabarito is my favorite. Sweet potatoes are the best. Steak in every dish was excellent. This place had the best French toast. You said French toast. I am not kidding. We got it instead of dessert. Fun place but get a reservation. Well worth. Justin is fun. read more

This is a great little tapas restaurant. The food is excellent, well seasoned, and tasty. We ordered the meat and cheese plate to begin with, and then just kept ordering small dishes. We also really liked the shrimp. It gets a little bit pricey, but we had plenty of food and loved everything. I would highly recommend this place, and I would definitely return. read more

Not terrible but pricey and nothing memorable Lots of superior options in Peekskill-eh

Food was delicious but management/ownership was rude as ever. Served us bottomless mimosas, payed a bill over 400 dollars and little short lady with the glasses told us we were too loud and to leave??? Meanwhile there was only 1 other table in the restaurant... Will never go back I can get better food for my money elsewhere- I ain't a Karen just disappointed read more

Great place to share tapas with a crowd. Their furnishings were well put together, with charm in every door; many dishes were served on cutting boards or other sorts of dishes with character. We had: cheese and charcuterie, shrimp in a delicious red sauce served with some bread, falafel with hummus, seafood salad with calamari, avocado salad, salmon atop of spinach and mashed potato, and sides of yucca fries and rice for six people, including one vegetarian. Parking is available in a small parking lot on the same block evenings and weekends, or on the street. read more

I returned with my family and I must tell you this restaurant is the one to beat. I tend to avoid special of the day because of the reputation of being well...not so special but this time I'm glad I did. I had the halibut with orzo wow!!! I'm not sure what spices you used but please don't change a thing this dish is fantastic. It forced me to eat it all and that's hard for me to do especially after 7pm. Only thing I would add is suggest you leave the orzo a little more al dente for me. Just for me. My wife and kids also enjoyed the appetizers they were in the mood for so yes I had to update my review just to say these things. Thanks. read more

Wonderful cozy place with delicious food. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. There is a large bar and parking is plentiful.

Visited Iron Vine with some friends last night. It's a small, casual place with charm on Main St. in Peekskill. Servers were all exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Lots of tapas choices but we chose the entrees. The salmon on mashed potatoes and spinach was unbelievable. We followed our dinner with the apple empanada dessert and some French press coffee. Delicious. Terrific dining experience. It's a small place so make reservations in advance AND consider that parking is on the street so it may take some time to find a space. read more

Brunch was fantastic! The food is delicious and the different flavor mimosas add a special touch. Definitely make reservations because the area inside is not too big. You will not be disappointed! read more

We love this place. The food and staff are always amazing. And if you haven't tried the French toast OMG you've got to try. Nice even as an appetizer to share. read more

The food is consistently good. However, the service last night was so disappointing. Our server Sara M. was rude, inattentive and did not care at all because she knew she could add 20% gratuity to our table of 6. What made things worse is that we had to walk over to her twice to pay our bill because she was talking to her friend at the bar. She swiped our credit cards incorrectly, but at that point we just wanted to leave after waiting so long. read more

They wouldn't honor a $50 gift card purchased by my sister in law because they said "they would have signed it on the back". I guess implying that we stole it maybe?stole it to get 25% off on our meal?!! It had their logo on the front and a magnetic strip on the back but they wouldn't even run it. They didn't even offer us anything, a free drink or dessert, nada. The money wasn't even the biggest issue, the hostess was just extremely rude about it. So mean to us we were in disbelief! Then to top it off we both got ill from the food! This place has gone downhill, and the service was stunningly awful. Will never go back and will actively tell everyone we know to do the same! read more

Disappointed. The food was okay, but management was not. I was given a 6pm reservation, seated, and served drinks before being told that the kitchen was closing at 6:30. I pointed out that the website indicated that they were open until 10. No one seemed to care. The manager didn't apologize. Instead, he said "yeah, that's old information. The food was just okay, perhaps because I felt rushed and unwelcome. I do not plan to return. read more

Great spot for brunch! Food is great and the service is excellent! Appreciate and high recommend

Stopped by this week to check out the hype. I also wanted to see if some of these negative reviews were right. I have to say I enjoyed my dinner here thoroughly. The tapas were delicious and my salmon entree was to die for. read more

My partner and I ate here this past Monday, prior to the new year. Little could we guess we would feel the repercussions of the meal a few days into 2020. One should be suspect of the incredulous amount of aioli and sauce they squeeze upon several menu items such as the wings and salad (south western I believe). What felt like death hit me, an hr or so after. I've never been so sick post meal, to be polite I will not go into details, however, a severe fever paired with other un-kind bodily functions & pains, kept me up well into the next morning, and have been lingering ever since... My advice watch out for the aioli... read more

Met my East Coast family here at their recommendation and it is a solid 4 stars. I was so distracted by the food, so no pictures this time :(. I couldn't tell by the restaurant name what kind of food was there and soon found out it was a Spanish variety of dishes. If you ever go, I would recommend making a meal out of the tapas. We had the croquettes, ceviche, patatas, and an avocado salad. All were served fresh and I tried each one except the ceviche (not a fish eater). I really wanted an empanada too but since we were getting main dishes, I held off and I regret it- so much. Maybe next time. All were really good!! The avocado was at the perfect ripeness, yum. In terms of main dishes, I would have to say that the Pollo Relleno emerged the victor. I especially liked the fresh julienned vegetables that served as a nest for the chicken. How can vegetables taste so good? Magical! The sandwiches are good, I had the Cubano, but if you are looking for something more unique, go for something different. French fries were average, they didn't taste super-fresh, so that was a bummer. Portion sizes were good, I couldn't finish my meal so my kid took the leftovers home with them. I had some eater's remorse because I had so many tapas, I couldn't truly enjoy my main dish. Hence, my comment above. It may take a couple trips here to get the full culinary experience. The service was acceptable, not over the top. The night I was there, there was only one server but it wasn't too crowded. I liked the atmosphere because we stayed and chatted for a bit and I didn't fell like they wanted us to vacate our table. Thank you Iron Vine for that. Loved the restaurant decor, so cute and clean. It had an antique-ish type feel. Good atmosphere, good food, good company. Life is good. read more

Ventured here on a last minute whim and what a surprise! This was my second time here but the first time I've dined. I loved the vibe and atmosphere here. It was lively and electric for a Friday night. Since I did not have a reservation, my husband and I decided to dine at the bar. We both had burgers and fries which were cooked to perfection...juicy and very tasty. I had a white wine sangria Obed and his staff were amazingly attentive to us. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I really enjoyed my time here and can't wait to return! read more

Love this place! Our waiter was amazing, food consistently great. Creative cocktail menu!

Two of us popped in here for brunch on Sunday, and got there right when they opened. They snuck us in even though there were several reservations that followed, and we immediately got some coffee. They serve it in a French Press they leave at the table, and it was actually pretty good coffee. My friend said the eggs Benedict she got was stellar, and I tried the Huevos Rancheros which had quite a bit of flavor, and I couldn't stop eating the patatas in their fancy ketchup! Super good. read more

I was so disappointed with this meal. I had heard such great things from a colleague and was completely underwhelmed. My fiancé and I came here for some drinks and tapas. We got the octopus, patatas bravas, chorizo croquettes, and the seafood empanada. The octopus was very rubbery, over cooked and difficult to eat. The patatas bravas were similar to the cheap frozen home fries that you get in the frozen section of the grocery store. The croquettes were okay, crispy outside, but very little chorizo inside. And another review compared the seafood empanada to a seafood egg roll. And that is a very accurate description of what it was like. The drinks were good, but happy hour is only at the bar and our waiter never specified that. The bar tender was really kind and accommodating, but our waiter didn't seem to want to be there. Ended up being a relatively pricey, very disappointing kind of meal. read more

Tried this spot based off yelp reviews....specifically because of the owners clapback response to a customer who was beyond rude and extra with his review. I had the shrimp appetizer off the tapas menu. It was perfectly portioned for my mood and well seasoned. The bartender was super cool and took initiative in making my drink. As a longtime hospitality professional and bartender myself, I appreciated that he went out of his way to chat and create a "to taste" drink. The staff all seemed very laid back and very friendly. A team. It creates a great easygoing atmosphere. I'll most likely be here again. read more
