I chose this place based on the reviews and after calling @ the owner gave me the best quote. they replaced transmission and radiator. I was verbally told cheaper price for each job but when I showed up to pay & pick up my car I was charged $500 above the price I was told. When I question the owner he kept saying a higher price than what I was told & repeating the work that they did (which Part of good customer service is sticking to your word not surprising the customer with more than stated. read more

I don't have enough words to say how thankful we are to Ron & the crew at Interstate transmission for being so helpful and getting us back on the road! Over the summer I started having transmission issues and I took my car in to have the transmission flushed. Ron was 100% honest and told me it would be a matter of time before I needed to replace my transmission. Right after Christmas I got in my car to drive it and it was a rough ride. Would give 0 stars if I could. Was referred here by a place that didn't know the ownership changed roughly 1yr ago. Paid for a transmission only to have the same issues...so who knows if it was even the transmission that needed to be changed. Went on test drive with the owner having is computer plugged into the vehicle, got no codes but felt the issue while driving. Basically told me his computer wasn't strong enough and he wasn't going to honor the warranty he sold me because if he sent it back to transtar and they deemed no issues, they would charge him again for a transmission. Paid over $4500 and still had issues. Horrible service after he got his money. Wouldn't refer him to anyone. read more

Very happy with this shop. My Husband and I needed somewhere to take our Jeep. He typically does any work himself, but we were in a pinch and needed a ton of things done before a Hollister Run we signed up for. We called Interstate on a weekend to get their hours. They answered the phone!! On a Sunday!! The man, Ron (?) was very nice...answered every single one of our questions honestly and accurately. We dropped the Jeep off that night and he got to work on it the next day. He was very open with us as far as the pricing and made sure the Jeep was done for us to haul it that weekend. It's rare to find an honest mechanic, but I'm sure we found one! read more

My friends went there to get the tail section of their Turbo 400 rebuild. They got 'em right in even in the afternoon and only charged for an hour service. The rear mount was totally gone from all the fluid leaks so they put a new one on for just the cost of the part which was only $15. No more vibrations from the worn tail shaft. Only leaving this place one star because I have to, wish i could give them a zero!!! do not take your vehicle to this place they do horrible work. My husband dropped his truck off for a transmission flush and filter change. Simple right?!?! NOT for this shop. When we picked up the truck the check engine light was on and there was a cross threaded bolt in the transmission pan!!!!! A simple job could not get done with the staff at this shop! I would not trust them with my bicycle let alone my family vehicle. read more

This place was amazing and treated my vehicle like it was one of their own. I was having transmission problems and after asking them to rebuild it and it not working, they kept trying everything they could do to make my car run like it was new. FInally, we decided to just order a whole new transmission, but my car was there for almost 2 months [poor guys] and they were very patient with us calling quite often and trying various different things to fix the problems. I fell I need to write this review. I took my chevy astro van (for work) to rebuild the transmission. It was done fast so I was very happy to get back. I said to myself I won't have to worry about any transmission problem for a long time now. To my surprise now 25k highway miles after being rebuild it goes out again I paid $1600 for getting it fix. I'm really disappointed. I should have gone to pick and pull and get one for $200. read more

They are VERY knowledgeable about anything transmission related. They do quality work and the staff is very friendly.

I will come back and put another review if things actually pan out. So far they have my vehicle for 2 days past the date they promised it back. They quoted a top price of $2100 and are now escalating the price to $2600 with the insinuation that it could go higher. If the vehicle is not ready by COB and fixed correctly, then they are getting reported to the BBB. The ONLY communication that we have had with them was initiated by us. Every time we call they say the same thing, "We are int eh process of putting it together, we will then put in fluids and test drive it." That was the line they gave the day it was supposed to be ready, the next morning, the next afternoon, and the day following. No admission to actually working on it or coming up with anything resembling the truth. If you ask me right now, I would say they are a rip off. Do not believe them and definitely avoid them. They do not honor their word for a time frame or a price. All they are doing now is holding the vehicle and raising the price so they can claim more hours worked. read more
