A couple months ago I posted a review concerning Respect Autoworks. I filed a complaint with BAR (Bureau Of Automotive Repair). I received a settlement from Respect Autoworks thanks to BAR's investigation. I agreed to the amount of the settlement because I believe it was the most I would receive due to the poor workmanship and damage done to my car by Respect Autoworks and definitely wanted to get this experience with Respect Autoworks behind me. The settlement I received won't cover the cost to repair or fix the damage done to my car by Respect Autoworks, it will at least help. As you all know from my previous review I was never offered compensation or repairs to my damaged vehicle by Respect Autoworks. It was not unitl I involved BAR that Respect Autoworks sent me a settlement check. I can only assume I received a settlment check although not enough to cover damages caused by Respect Autoworks but only because the possibilty of Respect Autoworks business license may have been suspended or the business fined. My hard earned $5k would have been better spent on another auto shop. There are so many other auto shops in Modesto to choose to take your vehicles and I suggest that you choose another auto shop to do business with and possibly avoid the experience I had with Respect Autoworks read more

It is always a great experience when I come here to Respect Auto Works. Whenever my vehicle is not running efficiently or something just doesn't feel right I know I can rely on this team to figure it out and handle it. I, unfortunately, blew my head gasket from an overheating issue. Very time consuming to replace and diagnose and yet, Ethil with the rest of the team fixed her up within a few days! They had her up and running in no time and I got her out in a timely manner despite them being so busy with other customers and projects. They always update me via phone on what they find, the plan, the cost, and if I want to go through with it. Which I truly appreciate! I was told drop my car off here on Friday morning by a nice gentleman on Tuesday morning. He claimed to be taking my name and phone number down for them to look at my 2015 WRX. He instructed me that they wouldn't be able to get to it until Friday 07/12/19. I was told if I drop in the morning that they'd be able to get it diagnosed. So after spending money to have my car towed in no one is in the building to receive my vehicle completely waisted my time and money. I hate to give a 1 star review but this is completely unacceptable. It remains to be seen if I'll ever try to do business again as this has been a complete waste of 59 dollars for a tow and now have to look for someone else to work on my car. I took my car to Ethil at Respect Auto a little over a year ago for a loose wheel bearing. I was very weary of being taken advantage of due to my lack of knowledge and experience with auto maintenance etc but Ethil was awesome. He spent a decent amount of time diagnosing the car based off both our observations and was 100% transparent and honest. He even quoted me close to $100 less than several other shops did. He finished the job in a timely manner, sooner than what I expected and was told. A while back I took my gf Honda Civic Ethil (the owner) quoted me to replace a new engine which I might add was very much needed. With a very decent price. A few days ago my finances Honda Civic again broke down and something that would be much more expensive he gave me an honest quote and price to replace the crank shaft seal that was worn off.
